Events & Adventures has genuinely been life‑changing for me. Coming from another country, building a new social circle can be overwhelming, but E&A made it feel effortless and fun. There's always something happening - from book club and cooking classes to weekend trips and active adventures like biking in the Everglades. I've met wonderful people, tried things I never would've done on my own, and I love not having to plan or drive everywhere myself. I've also made some amazing friends along the way and built friendships that are truly priceless. The variety of events keeps things exciting, and the hosts put real effort into making each outing enjoyable. If you're looking to meet people, explore your city, and add some adventure to your life, E&A is an amazing way to do it.

Every event I've gone to I've had a blast at and have not regretted. I wish that more were closer to where I live but the majority are within an hour of my home. The group administrators are really open to suggestions which is great because if you want to do something that you don't see in the calendar you can just tell them and ask if they can make it happen! I've met amazing people so far in the few weeks I've been a member and look forward to building lasting friendships.

I e had the opportunity to do things I never would have done on my own and meet some Wonderful people. So glad I joined this group, it has been such a great experience. Highly recommend. Everyone is very welcoming and it's such a great community.

I like going to the events at the roaring social, even though it's over an hour away from me, but almost everybody left before the event was up. Doesn't really give you a chance to meet people and it seemed like people were in their own little groups and I was excluded.

E&A has gotten me out of the house when I was getting very comfortable always staying home. I met some wonderful people and formed real connections. I've lived in the area my whole life and have seen more of DC and VA in the past 2 years than I ever have. It's a great group and great opportunity. The group provides a level of comfort because many people come in with a similar mindset in regard to social anxiety. My social skills and confidence have improved greatly since I joined! I enjoy it so much I decided to become a lifetime member!

Jul 18, 2026

As a lifetime member I wonder why I paid all that $$$ when former members can show up at events without paying. Certain hosts consistently show up to events with their boyfriends and an entourage of expired members who did not pay to extend their memberships. The kicker is that the event manager, an employee of E&A set the tone by bringing her boyfriend to all her events. This takes away spots that actual members can use. I have anxiety about going to events because some of these expired members bring unnecessary tension and drama to the events. The last event I attended had 18 sign ups and only about 10 were actual members.

Nov 4, 2025

I've been to three events so far and had fun at all three events. Not sure if the membership is worth it for me in particular because I only have time to do events that happen on Saturdays and Sundays. The calendar does not always have events on those days that I like so I'm not really utilizing it to. It's full advantage. Good group of people, though!

Dec 16, 2025

Every time I tried to participate it's the same handful of people. All the images posted it's the same people. I paid $2500 thinking the price point would attract semi professional people but it is just an old man boys club. None of which is not my type to make an evening worth my time. I'm very disappointed with the quality of the individual players and the website shows completely different demographics. The marketing. Strategy works then you have buyer's remorse. Now I have a big bill and nothing to show for it. I'm not going to bash the organization on social media but I was lead to believe something that's not real. Bunch of over weight boys wearing nascar T-shirts to a dinner party I'm the fool for believing your marketing tools of quality experience with semi attractive people. I can go to a dive bar and find those guys

Jul 15, 2026

I joined E&A when I moved to Arizona to learn the city and do activities that I enjoy. They have really helped me make the Phoenix area a home. It's also let me explore different experiences to learn new things about myself as well.

Apr 17, 2026

Events and adventures has been an amazing experience in the about two years I have been in the group so far. Every month we have so many fun events from dinners to hikes to activity nights there is something for everyone. Also not a lot of repeats and if there's an idea, E&A does their best to make it happen. I have met some amazing young professionals in the group I am glad to call friends I would not have met without it as it got me out of my social bubble. Seeing it grow and grow each year has been amazing and no matter what the group throws at it Gracen and Ashton have always delivered and made things happen! Plus since it is a national group and you can go to other sections I have visited a few other E&A clubs and made some friends nationwide especially with the national and international trips! Looking forward to another year of E&A fun!

Nov 3, 2025

The events have been very disappointing. If they are not cancelled due a lack of people signing up, there are few people attending. This is supposed to be a way to meet single people. I have not met a single person that I would be interested in dating. A lot of money for a poorly run organization.

Nov 4, 2025

I am in the Seattle events and adventures, and have been to one event because they all seem to be targeted to a younger crowd. I am 60, and was hoping to meet some older people. Very disappointed, and would not join again.

Mar 4, 2026

They advertise themselves as a fun social group for young people with the intention of meeting other singles and dating. If that is what you are looking for then turn away. No young people, no dating. This is basically BucketListers for people over 50. There is low value in E&A and would not recommend to other people.

Oct 12, 2025

There aren't as many activities as I thought there would be. Metro Atlanta is a big place and with work and traffic it can be difficult to get to venues, especially after work. While I have met some very nice people and have enjoyed getting to know them better, there don't seem to be many members and no way to connect outside of the events. A membership directory would be nice.

Nov 3, 2025

Determined to make sure I got value out of my E&A membership, I sign up for as many events as I can. My criteria is... is this event something I can do, and wouldn't mind doing? That sounds like a low bar, but the events themselves are only to get you in the door. The best part of E&A is the welcoming feeling you get from all the members. I go to the events to spend time talking with my local chapter and slowly making new friends. The fact that many of the events are enjoyable and fun is just a bonus.

Oct 11, 2025

Awesome group well established. I am so glad that I made this decision. I feel it has changed my whole outlook on life. These peeps are great

Dec 12, 2025

The PAID Group Organizer never returned my phone calls or text messages when I was attempting to contact her about where a group was meeting. I never heard from her at all. Group id too Expensive and they want all the money up front. I needd to set up a monthly payment plan for an unlimited membership and my request was rejected. Events are primarily organized around expensive bars and high end restaurants Events are attended only by members in their 30s and 40s. I need to have older people in my social group - 50s and 60s.

Jul 15, 2026

Have participated in a variety of events and activities. Nice group of people. Enjoy finding new places and things to do in the area

Jul 31, 2026

I was a paying member of Events & Adventures for approximately four years and volunteered as a host for roughly three of those years. I invested a significant amount of time, money, and effort into the Phoenix club, so this review is not based on one disappointing event or a brief interaction. It reflects years of firsthand experience with the membership, events, local management, and upper management. To be fair, I met some wonderful people through the club and formed relationships that I value. However, those positive experiences came from the members themselves—not from the company's leadership. Over time, I watched the organization become increasingly dysfunctional, retaliatory, and disconnected from the people paying its substantial membership fees. One of my biggest concerns was the behavior of an upper-level manager who took control during a period of leadership turnover. Her management style came across to me as a power trip. Constructive criticism was not treated as an opportunity to improve the club; it was treated as disloyalty. After I raised legitimate concerns about how the club was being managed, I was removed from the volunteer host position I had held for approximately three years. Whatever explanation the company may now attach to that decision, the timing and surrounding circumstances made it appear retaliatory. Her hostility toward our former local manager also appeared intensely personal. The former manager was well liked by many members and had built genuine relationships within the club. When she later attended an event, upper management responded by canceling the club's recurring game night. In my opinion, that effectively punished paying members because management disliked one former employee. Rather than separating a personal dispute from the interests of the club, leadership allowed what appeared to be a petty vendetta to interfere with events members had already paid to access. From what I observed, this manager seemed more focused on demonstrating authority and diminishing her predecessor than on operating a successful social club. Her conduct appeared driven by personal hostility and insecurity about the former manager's positive relationships with members. Paying customers should not lose events or be placed in the middle of management's personal grudges. This was not an isolated management problem. Host meetings were canceled at the last minute after volunteers had already rearranged their schedules or traveled to attend. Events were removed or changed with inadequate communication. Leadership turnover was constant, and decisions often seemed arbitrary. Volunteers who donated their time were treated as disposable rather than as people helping keep the local club functioning. My most serious concern, however, involves the company's handling of safety complaints. I personally submitted statements and complaints to the owner on behalf of multiple women who alleged sexual assault, rape, or other serious sexual misconduct involving the same club member. I am not claiming that I personally witnessed those incidents or that I am in a position to determine criminal guilt. What I can state firsthand is that the women's allegations were communicated to me, I forwarded their accounts to the owner, and I retain the related correspondence. The owner's response was essentially that their statements were not sufficient evidence for him to act. I found that response deeply troubling for a company that markets itself as a safe way for singles to meet people. Even more concerning, the owner later made public statements on his podcast suggesting that the company had never received complaints or accusations of that nature. I cannot reconcile that public claim with the complaints I personally submitted to him. Whether he believed the allegations were proven is a separate issue. Saying or implying that no such allegations were ever reported is inconsistent with my direct experience and the written communications I retain. My criticism is not that the owner was required to declare anyone guilty based solely on an allegation. My criticism is that multiple serious reports deserved a responsible, transparent safety response—not dismissal followed by a public portrayal that such reports had never been made. Prospective members deserve to know how the company actually responds when women bring serious safety concerns to its attention. I also believe the sales presentation is misleading about the financial value of membership. Prospective members are told that the club receives group discounts on activities and that these discounts help justify the extremely high membership fees. In practice, I observed events for which members were charged more than the publicly available or direct cost of participating. Based on the prices I compared, the club appeared to add a markup to individual events rather than simply passing along a group discount. That means members may pay thousands of dollars for membership and then pay additional event prices that include a profit margin for the company. Anyone considering joining should ask for specific examples of actual retail prices, the club's negotiated prices, and the amounts charged to members. Do not rely on a vague promise of "group discounts." The business model felt predatory to me: a high-pressure sales presentation, an exorbitant long-term membership cost, additional charges for events, questionable pricing transparency, and limited accountability once the contract is signed. The social possibilities are emphasized during the sales process, but the organizational dysfunction, management retaliation, event markups, and handling of safety complaints are not. There are good people in the club, and members can absolutely build friendships. But those friendships do not excuse the conduct of the company running it. In my experience, the value came almost entirely from the other members, while the company collected substantial fees, marked up activities, tolerated chaotic leadership, retaliated against criticism, and failed to handle serious safety allegations in a manner I considered responsible. Based on my four years as a member and three years volunteering as a host, I cannot recommend Events & Adventures. Anyone considering joining should carefully read the entire contract, investigate cancellation and refund provisions, compare event prices independently, ask exactly what safety screening is performed, and demand clear answers about how misconduct complaints are investigated before paying anything.

New Friends and Confidence Boost
October 7, 2022

Events And Adventures came in to my life at a perfect time I needed to do more activities outside the home I needed to meet more friends and that's exactly what was accomplished.
With the people I met we have great friendship which gave me confidence in myself and try new activities and go back to some old ones.

A great experience
October 6, 2022

Joining this club has been a great experience. I've taken classes for activities I didn't know existed, have some fun craft projects, and have played a few different sports through this club. They have events that would satisfy most people. You get out of this club what you put, the more you sign up and go to events, the more fun you will have.

Great!
October 4, 2022

This is exactly what I needed! I recently moved to the Dallas area not knowing anyone and not wanting to leave FL. Not knowing anyone or anything I needed something to get me out and doing things. I saw an ad for this group and decided to check it out. I'm so glad that I decided to join. I am now enjoying my time here in Dallas and have met some great people. I am doing all kinds of things I would not do on my own and I am no longer reluctant to be here.

Age limitations
November 2, 2022

Of all the events I have been to, the average age is closer to 30-40's. I feel like I was misled into believing that people my age, closer to 60 would be attending.

November 2, 2022

This website has already cost me $50 and hard to manage events and on a phone it's even harder. The government has better websites than this and that's saying something. Please do something, with the right website all 50 states and international countries could be a part of this events and adventures.

I was part of the original EA, so I was really excited when it made its resurgence. I have not been more satisfied. It keeps getting better and better! It does have a steep price, but it's worth every penny, especially if you go to events often!

Fun group for friendships

Made great friends and had many fun adventures! Wish the sales team didn't over sell what it actually is just to help everyone better manage their expectations and to truly understand the actual financial commitment but other than that it was great thing to do for awhile.

Meet new people; make new friends
September 29, 2022

I have met many people that I have become very good friends with and for this I am grateful for Events and Adventures (EA). Since the Covid Pandemic, EA has has not offered the quality, variety and quantity of events as pre-pandemic. I use to attend 6-10 events monthly that were unique. Now many events occur 6, 8, 12 times a year. I'm not interested in doing the same things every month. Also between SF, East Bay & South Bay there use to be 60 events monthly. Now there are about 30-35 total events.

Best Thing I Ever Did
September 29, 2022

I have now been a member of E & A for over two years! I was a single mom raising my son so didn't get out much. Now that my son is grown, I have time for myself so when I saw an add for E & A, I immediately scheduled a meeting as I thought it would be just the thing I needed in my life.
Well. Here I am 2 years later and still enjoying every moment! I made some incredible friendships and constantly have something fun to do. I also like the fact that it exists in so many other cities and if I am visiting I can go to their events as well. I actually made the decision to become a lifetime member!
Sunday, I will be out kayaking under the sunny skies of Florida with a fun group of people!

Suburbs are a second thought in the club
October 29, 2022

Overall this has been a good way to meet people, but it feels like events for people in the suburbs are a second thought. Events that take place in the suburbs are usually repeated events, with very little variety. Hardly any of the suburb events take place on the weekdays. And while there are several events that take place in the city, despite the same events also being possible in the suburbs, they are not. If you live in the city go for it. If you don't I would hesitate.

For a good time, call…
September 29, 2022

I'm on my second time around. I was in for 6 months back in 2018-2019. I got everything I needed... new friends who have free time and a girlfriend. I came back in the middle of March 2022, because I have friends who are in and I wanted to join them for events. I had some reservations, early on in 2018... from the sales pitch, to my initial experiences. It's not perfect and it's naive to expect perfection.

You're not paying for someone to organize things that you could do on your own. You're paying to do fun things with people who are here for the same reason you are... to meet people and connect and maybe make friends... and maybe, maybe there's something more... but don't come in searching for it. Love is like a fart... if you have to force it, it's probably $#*!.

Emily works hard to put together a calendar of fun events every month. Sometimes the events are amazing... sometimes the events are mediocre... sometimes the events are free (unless you want food/drink)... sometimes the events are affordable... sometimes the events are Silicon Valley Software Engineer affordable... it doesn't matter. Do what you can afford, because the people are why you're there. The people make it worthwhile. The hosts are great (full disclosure: I'm a host and I have it on good authority that I'm a hoot and a half). A lot of the members are great. They're not all gold... but really... in any group of 10-50+ strangers, how many are you really gonna like? I think these groups beat the average.

I never used to wonder how to meet people. In my 20s and early 30s, it just happened. For some reason, it got harder. It might have something to do with being in my 40s, but I feel like it's something changing in the world. So I came here to meet people... and I did. I've made friends and I hope I grow old with some of them. I've had a couple dates. It wasn't love, but it was a nice time. I don't regret a single dime I've spent on E&A... and I'm expecting to spend more.

If you're looking to meet people who aren't wrapped up in marriage and kids and whatever else has them booked into eternity, E&A might be what you're looking for. Nothing is guaranteed. Your attitude can make a huge difference. Leave your expectations at the door and just come be a fun person.

I can honestly say my life is better for deciding to join Events and Adventures.

Events and local adventures are amazing!
September 29, 2022

I have been a member for over 5 years and I absolutely love the group! It has changed my life for the better in every way between learning new things, meeting new people and going to places I've never been before. It's also a great way to learn your city and state if you are new to the area.

The only thing I would stay away from is the international trips. Neither E&A nor travel insurance will reimburse you if you have an emergency. It's a lot of money to lose.

Best life choice
September 29, 2022

As a newly divorced person after 20 years of marriage I needed a place where I could make new friends and experience life to the fullest. Joining E&A gave me that and so much more. My kids are proud of the life I am living, I have some very dear friends who I can't image my life without, and I have done things I never dreamed possible. (Skydiving and Africa come to mind). These reviews are heartbreaking! I have been a member of both Denver and now Dallas and can't say enough about how awesome this club is! I've been a host in both locations, have been on several of the local trips, and even an international trip. I have friends that I will have for life, and have met some amazing professionals. I was married for 19 years, and had no idea how to even live a single life. I joined E&A in Denver soon after my divorce was finalized, and it was literally a life saver. I've seen so many people find their best friends, and even significant others. It is also great to see people getting out of their comfort zones and try new activities too. I have tried all sorts of things that I would have never even knew existed. I am also thankful that E&A is located in various cities around the country. Being new to Dallas, and a member of E&A, I was able to learn so much about a new area.

BUYER BEWARE!
June 28, 2022

BUYER BEWARE! Please search how many complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau around the country. This supposed singles club with "like-minded people" was not my experience whatsoever. Make sure you go to one of their events within the first three days and cancel per their contract if you don't like it. If you miss that short window upon joining, they will somehow finagle things to say you're not paying when you express your dissatisfaction—even though they have your credit card information to charge you their precious MONEY—and try to make you pay the thousands of dollars you "owe" them through a collections company. Apparently that's all they are about—Collections, not connections. Run! Try Meet Up for free. Do anything but pay money for a nasty, unethical club with a nasty money-focused contract club like this one. Please no response from anyone affiliated with this club. Shame on this whole outfit for preying on singles.
