Events & Adventures has genuinely been life‑changing for me. Coming from another country, building a new social circle can be overwhelming, but E&A made it feel effortless and fun. There's always something happening - from book club and cooking classes to weekend trips and active adventures like biking in the Everglades. I've met wonderful people, tried things I never would've done on my own, and I love not having to plan or drive everywhere myself. I've also made some amazing friends along the way and built friendships that are truly priceless. The variety of events keeps things exciting, and the hosts put real effort into making each outing enjoyable. If you're looking to meet people, explore your city, and add some adventure to your life, E&A is an amazing way to do it.

Every event I've gone to I've had a blast at and have not regretted. I wish that more were closer to where I live but the majority are within an hour of my home. The group administrators are really open to suggestions which is great because if you want to do something that you don't see in the calendar you can just tell them and ask if they can make it happen! I've met amazing people so far in the few weeks I've been a member and look forward to building lasting friendships.

I e had the opportunity to do things I never would have done on my own and meet some Wonderful people. So glad I joined this group, it has been such a great experience. Highly recommend. Everyone is very welcoming and it's such a great community.

Jan 8, 2026

I like going to the events at the roaring social, even though it's over an hour away from me, but almost everybody left before the event was up. Doesn't really give you a chance to meet people and it seemed like people were in their own little groups and I was excluded.

Oct 10, 2025

E&A has gotten me out of the house when I was getting very comfortable always staying home. I met some wonderful people and formed real connections. I've lived in the area my whole life and have seen more of DC and VA in the past 2 years than I ever have. It's a great group and great opportunity. The group provides a level of comfort because many people come in with a similar mindset in regard to social anxiety. My social skills and confidence have improved greatly since I joined! I enjoy it so much I decided to become a lifetime member!

Jul 18, 2026

As a lifetime member I wonder why I paid all that $$$ when former members can show up at events without paying. Certain hosts consistently show up to events with their boyfriends and an entourage of expired members who did not pay to extend their memberships. The kicker is that the event manager, an employee of E&A set the tone by bringing her boyfriend to all her events. This takes away spots that actual members can use. I have anxiety about going to events because some of these expired members bring unnecessary tension and drama to the events. The last event I attended had 18 sign ups and only about 10 were actual members.

Nov 4, 2025

I've been to three events so far and had fun at all three events. Not sure if the membership is worth it for me in particular because I only have time to do events that happen on Saturdays and Sundays. The calendar does not always have events on those days that I like so I'm not really utilizing it to. It's full advantage. Good group of people, though!

Dec 16, 2025

Every time I tried to participate it's the same handful of people. All the images posted it's the same people. I paid $2500 thinking the price point would attract semi professional people but it is just an old man boys club. None of which is not my type to make an evening worth my time. I'm very disappointed with the quality of the individual players and the website shows completely different demographics. The marketing. Strategy works then you have buyer's remorse. Now I have a big bill and nothing to show for it. I'm not going to bash the organization on social media but I was lead to believe something that's not real. Bunch of over weight boys wearing nascar T-shirts to a dinner party I'm the fool for believing your marketing tools of quality experience with semi attractive people. I can go to a dive bar and find those guys

Jul 15, 2026

I joined E&A when I moved to Arizona to learn the city and do activities that I enjoy. They have really helped me make the Phoenix area a home. It's also let me explore different experiences to learn new things about myself as well.

Apr 17, 2026

Events and adventures has been an amazing experience in the about two years I have been in the group so far. Every month we have so many fun events from dinners to hikes to activity nights there is something for everyone. Also not a lot of repeats and if there's an idea, E&A does their best to make it happen. I have met some amazing young professionals in the group I am glad to call friends I would not have met without it as it got me out of my social bubble. Seeing it grow and grow each year has been amazing and no matter what the group throws at it Gracen and Ashton have always delivered and made things happen! Plus since it is a national group and you can go to other sections I have visited a few other E&A clubs and made some friends nationwide especially with the national and international trips! Looking forward to another year of E&A fun!

Nov 3, 2025

The events have been very disappointing. If they are not cancelled due a lack of people signing up, there are few people attending. This is supposed to be a way to meet single people. I have not met a single person that I would be interested in dating. A lot of money for a poorly run organization.

Nov 4, 2025

I am in the Seattle events and adventures, and have been to one event because they all seem to be targeted to a younger crowd. I am 60, and was hoping to meet some older people. Very disappointed, and would not join again.

Mar 4, 2026

They advertise themselves as a fun social group for young people with the intention of meeting other singles and dating. If that is what you are looking for then turn away. No young people, no dating. This is basically BucketListers for people over 50. There is low value in E&A and would not recommend to other people.

Oct 12, 2025

There aren't as many activities as I thought there would be. Metro Atlanta is a big place and with work and traffic it can be difficult to get to venues, especially after work. While I have met some very nice people and have enjoyed getting to know them better, there don't seem to be many members and no way to connect outside of the events. A membership directory would be nice.

Nov 3, 2025

Determined to make sure I got value out of my E&A membership, I sign up for as many events as I can. My criteria is... is this event something I can do, and wouldn't mind doing? That sounds like a low bar, but the events themselves are only to get you in the door. The best part of E&A is the welcoming feeling you get from all the members. I go to the events to spend time talking with my local chapter and slowly making new friends. The fact that many of the events are enjoyable and fun is just a bonus.

Oct 11, 2025

Awesome group well established. I am so glad that I made this decision. I feel it has changed my whole outlook on life. These peeps are great

Dec 12, 2025

The PAID Group Organizer never returned my phone calls or text messages when I was attempting to contact her about where a group was meeting. I never heard from her at all. Group id too Expensive and they want all the money up front. I needd to set up a monthly payment plan for an unlimited membership and my request was rejected. Events are primarily organized around expensive bars and high end restaurants Events are attended only by members in their 30s and 40s. I need to have older people in my social group - 50s and 60s.

Jul 15, 2026

Have participated in a variety of events and activities. Nice group of people. Enjoy finding new places and things to do in the area

Jul 31, 2026

I was a paying member of Events & Adventures for approximately four years and volunteered as a host for roughly three of those years. I invested a significant amount of time, money, and effort into the Phoenix club, so this review is not based on one disappointing event or a brief interaction. It reflects years of firsthand experience with the membership, events, local management, and upper management. To be fair, I met some wonderful people through the club and formed relationships that I value. However, those positive experiences came from the members themselves—not from the company's leadership. Over time, I watched the organization become increasingly dysfunctional, retaliatory, and disconnected from the people paying its substantial membership fees. One of my biggest concerns was the behavior of an upper-level manager who took control during a period of leadership turnover. Her management style came across to me as a power trip. Constructive criticism was not treated as an opportunity to improve the club; it was treated as disloyalty. After I raised legitimate concerns about how the club was being managed, I was removed from the volunteer host position I had held for approximately three years. Whatever explanation the company may now attach to that decision, the timing and surrounding circumstances made it appear retaliatory. Her hostility toward our former local manager also appeared intensely personal. The former manager was well liked by many members and had built genuine relationships within the club. When she later attended an event, upper management responded by canceling the club's recurring game night. In my opinion, that effectively punished paying members because management disliked one former employee. Rather than separating a personal dispute from the interests of the club, leadership allowed what appeared to be a petty vendetta to interfere with events members had already paid to access. From what I observed, this manager seemed more focused on demonstrating authority and diminishing her predecessor than on operating a successful social club. Her conduct appeared driven by personal hostility and insecurity about the former manager's positive relationships with members. Paying customers should not lose events or be placed in the middle of management's personal grudges. This was not an isolated management problem. Host meetings were canceled at the last minute after volunteers had already rearranged their schedules or traveled to attend. Events were removed or changed with inadequate communication. Leadership turnover was constant, and decisions often seemed arbitrary. Volunteers who donated their time were treated as disposable rather than as people helping keep the local club functioning. My most serious concern, however, involves the company's handling of safety complaints. I personally submitted statements and complaints to the owner on behalf of multiple women who alleged sexual assault, rape, or other serious sexual misconduct involving the same club member. I am not claiming that I personally witnessed those incidents or that I am in a position to determine criminal guilt. What I can state firsthand is that the women's allegations were communicated to me, I forwarded their accounts to the owner, and I retain the related correspondence. The owner's response was essentially that their statements were not sufficient evidence for him to act. I found that response deeply troubling for a company that markets itself as a safe way for singles to meet people. Even more concerning, the owner later made public statements on his podcast suggesting that the company had never received complaints or accusations of that nature. I cannot reconcile that public claim with the complaints I personally submitted to him. Whether he believed the allegations were proven is a separate issue. Saying or implying that no such allegations were ever reported is inconsistent with my direct experience and the written communications I retain. My criticism is not that the owner was required to declare anyone guilty based solely on an allegation. My criticism is that multiple serious reports deserved a responsible, transparent safety response—not dismissal followed by a public portrayal that such reports had never been made. Prospective members deserve to know how the company actually responds when women bring serious safety concerns to its attention. I also believe the sales presentation is misleading about the financial value of membership. Prospective members are told that the club receives group discounts on activities and that these discounts help justify the extremely high membership fees. In practice, I observed events for which members were charged more than the publicly available or direct cost of participating. Based on the prices I compared, the club appeared to add a markup to individual events rather than simply passing along a group discount. That means members may pay thousands of dollars for membership and then pay additional event prices that include a profit margin for the company. Anyone considering joining should ask for specific examples of actual retail prices, the club's negotiated prices, and the amounts charged to members. Do not rely on a vague promise of "group discounts." The business model felt predatory to me: a high-pressure sales presentation, an exorbitant long-term membership cost, additional charges for events, questionable pricing transparency, and limited accountability once the contract is signed. The social possibilities are emphasized during the sales process, but the organizational dysfunction, management retaliation, event markups, and handling of safety complaints are not. There are good people in the club, and members can absolutely build friendships. But those friendships do not excuse the conduct of the company running it. In my experience, the value came almost entirely from the other members, while the company collected substantial fees, marked up activities, tolerated chaotic leadership, retaliated against criticism, and failed to handle serious safety allegations in a manner I considered responsible. Based on my four years as a member and three years volunteering as a host, I cannot recommend Events & Adventures. Anyone considering joining should carefully read the entire contract, investigate cancellation and refund provisions, compare event prices independently, ask exactly what safety screening is performed, and demand clear answers about how misconduct complaints are investigated before paying anything.

March 18, 2022

This company is a scam, I agreed on the service on January 21st, 2021, and tried to cancel the service on the 4th day and it's not possible, I dispute the transaction through my credit card, and a year and a half later, March 21st, 2022, I received a letter from a debt collector about this, they are ruining my credit score for a fake service

The whole program was oversold and I was mislead about the membership demographics. If you are 45 or older and have absolutely nothing going on it will give you something to do with other folks your are who also have nothing to do. There is a reason they don't let you check it out before you sign up and they won't let you out of the contract, it is not a good investment for almost any one under 40 who can go to meet ups and find social activities to enjoy. It is way too expensive for what it is and most folks I met just pay the fees and never go to anything because it's such a limited group. They will send you to collections and mess up your credit so you can't get out of the contract unless you're willing to take that huge hit. I don't suggest it at all.

Big shout out: Don't get engaged with this filthy con company! This pack of crooks use fake photos ( perhaps stolen from porn stars' Instagram accounts). You can't trust any profile there! When I want a hook up I use BazooGirl. Comservice. They worked out perfectly for me every time I turned to them. But that was in the time when people could travel without restrictions. Now I use them just to have fun online when I feel horny. Eventsandadventures is not suitable even for this because it's all fake!

My worst experience, even during COVID
June 28, 2021

Unfortunately didn't check reviews before I signed up. BELIEVE WHAT YOU'RE READING. They convinced me there was plenty of young adults in my area that went to events and paid for the group. As a country, we were all beginning to socialize again after this horrid time going through quarantine and such. I figured it was a great time to meet new people so I had an "interview" and signed up. I paid in full. In their terms, it states if you cancel in the first 24 hours you get a full refund. If you cancel in the first 48 hours, you get something like half a refund. Within the first 48 hours, I realize after not making money for a good 9 months it's probably not the best time for anyone to pay $1795. I was dumb. I then emailed the person who signed me up and requested to cancel it, but in the terms, it states to cancel and get a refund you have to mail in a handwritten letter. Even if I wrote a letter requesting to cancel, the company would not receive it in 48 hours because mail was delayed. Mail is still a bit delayed. There are problems with everything. This company being the biggest one for me. Imagine how poor of a company to become my biggest issue while COVID is affecting the world?! Shame on them. I contacted my credit card company to cancel the payment then they reached out to research the problem (I wish I wrote down the name of the lady that manages/sets up events/owns the company), but she says no refunds. HOW DESPICABLE OF A HUMAN BEING DO YOU HAVE TO BE, TO HOLD MEMBERS OF TO REGULAR STANDARDS DURING NOT A REGULAR TIME. Beyond shameful.

Sign up: Aggressive sales tactics with plans that are priced to lead you into longer terms. The contracts have a 3 day cancellation period which doesn't even give you a chance to try out the service. Once the 3 days are up, you are locked in like a greasy gym membership. The sales person I dealt with claimed that there was a ratio of 2:1 women to men. This was a lie.
Events: The event leads were friendly enough. The people were a mix of social and anti social. Some of the events were great but I am not convinced that it was worth the money they are asking.

Organization: This company is awful to deal with. The website is out of date and should be updated. At the core they only care about the money. There was no flexibility shown during Covid and they were holding front line workers to their contracts. Other than myself I personally knew a couple more.

Overall I would stay away until they change their oppressive contract policy. This is a sign that they are not confident in their product as if you want to quit for any reason, you should be able to. Imagine meeting someone 2 months in and then being forced to pay for a 3 year term all because you have been coerced into a long term plan based on "saving money".

They will never get me back as a client and I would suggest staying away.

Ignores COVID safety protocols
January 21, 2021

This company's Chicago office ignores all COVID safety protocols. I was assured their events were COVID safe, but at their icebreaker event at their downtown office on January 8,2021, Michelle Doellman, an event manager, took off her mask to speak, which prompted everyone but me to take off their masks.
- People arrived wearing their masks incorrectly and were not told to put them on the right way
- Michelle Doellman stopped taking people's temperatures.
- People were not sitting spaced out, and I don't think there was enough room to accommodate this.
- People arrived without masks or took them off once they were inside.
- Doellman gave a speech about members being respectful and "not $#*!s" all while not wearing a mask and not telling anyone else to put one on or spacing anyone out. She sat someone wearing a mask incorrectly right next to me and then he took the mask off.

I walked off and informed the Phoenix, Arizona office and the sales manager who signed me up, Pincus Liebowitz. He told me they'd be investigating the matter, but have not gotten back to me at all. I've also had someone who answered their phone laugh at my distress. They are likely only giving me a runaround and not doing anything.

The company has a contract that makes it difficult to cancel, and instead of offering any actual resolutions, Liebowitz told me that:

- They need someone like to me to point out violations on their private Facebook page (as if they need someone to do that)
- Told me to attend virtual events.
- Asked if I wanted more time to freeze my account, though they'd still be billing me the entire time.

Events and Adventures claims that they only offer membership to good people and that their events are COVID safe. They state both on their website and the actual entries on their calendar, but they ignored them in person. Michelle Doellman is a manager for Chicago and updates their calendar.

How is any person supposed to be feel safe at an event she has anything to do with? Why would anyone sign up and feel safe if the members are this irresponsible?

I also think they violated the law by having too many people at an indoor event for a corporate function.

Avoid this company at all costs and tell people to avoid them if they want to get sick or spread COVID-19.

E & A Rocks!
January 6, 2021

I have had an awesome time participating in the different events with E & A, Denver. I had a chance to explore all the wonderful outings Denver had to offer. Even though the commute from Colorado Springs was a long one, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people. My favorite events were Iive music and wonderful Cafe at The Cheese Importers in Longmont, Salsa Dancing in Denver, Comedy in Greenwood Village, Rock N Roll Bingo in Littleton, Sip and Paint in Arvada, and Game Night all over Denver. If you are looking to meet new people and have many to play with, this is the place for you. Have fun!

Rude gaslighting scam
November 3, 2020

They told me there were be more events I would be interested in(art) made me do the 24month "deal", once a part I tried to sign up for events All were booked a month in advanced. And wouldn't let me sign up. When I called no answer after that I decided to end membership since going to the events was more expensive than what I was doing originally. When I called to cancel my membership they were rude gaslight me, yelled at me and highly unprofessional and hung up on me. They rufused to end my membership. After the abuse on the phone how could I ever trust them to help and be supportive? They do not care about their "members". They refuse to end membership and now I'm scared to go to events. They basically told me to deal with it and that I'd have to keep paying.

RUN AWAY
May 8, 2020

I made an appointment to meet with a rep in late 2019 after a REALLY rough year, thinking this was exactly what I needed. I showed up on crutches and in cast with pins sticking out of my foot after a recent surgery (so there was no secret that I had a substantial injury).

I listened to the spiel, and thought it sounded like fun! Other than my obvious injuries, I felt compelled to share some deeply personal information about circumstances regarding a medical condition that my mom was/is dealing with, which was up in the air at the time. For the purposes of clarification, she was being considered for treatment at a world-renowned facility in Houston, and IF she were to be accepted, I would be traveling down to Houston on a regular basis and would be unable to carry forward with my membership.

Jennifer was very reassuring, and naturally we moved onto the costs. When I heard the cost, I about choked. I said that I would probably need to see what ended up happening with my foot, as there was a chance it wouldn't heal properly. I also kept circling back to the possibility of having to reconsider in the future altogether should my mom be accepted for treatment. Jennifer could definitely sense my hesitation, and told me to hold on a second. She left the room, came back, and I was made a "hush hush" offer that "was RARELY offered to other members." I still thought the cost was outrageous, and so I kept pointing back to the fact that I was unsure where my situation would lead me. I was consistently reassured that should anything come to fruition with the uncertainties currently looming, I would be "taken care of."

Jennifer said I wouldn't see that price again, and that I should at the very least put down a deposit for the sake of locking in the deal. She assured me that if that came to fruition, NOT TO WORRY, she'd see to it that I was taken care of. With all of the reassurance in the world, I put down half- $1200 (apparently an exclusive price). When I was filling out the paperwork, I got to the question that asked if there was anything that could prevent me from partaking in the events. I looked at Jennifer halfway laughing and said, "Should I write down everything about my mother and my injury?" She said not to worry about it, because it was a simple checkbox of yes or no. I assumed that meant she had documented my "IFs" somewhere.

Fast forward only a couple of weeks, scans revealed that my broken foot did not heal properly after surgery. Right around the same time, my sweet mom was accepted into the treatment facility (total blessing)! I sent an email to Jennifer to fill her in, and she wrote back a kind note, then passed me along to Katy. I got a reply from Katy, only addressing the medical piece of my reason for needing to cancel. She made me provide a doctor's note, along with proof that I was injured. Was the inch-long pin sticking out of my casted up foot and crutches at the interview not indication enough? Okay, so I provided that to her, along with a picture of my last x-ray. She replied with a seemingly sincere response wishing me well, telling me she canceled my membership and refunded my last month's payment ($63ish dollars). Wait, what about the $1200 deposit? She said she couldn't do anything about that since it was a pre-existing medical condition. WHAT? You made me prove my injury! Katy insisted that they "forgave" the balance, but in reality they kept my $1200 deposit and stopped recurring charges. I NEVER ATTENDED ONE EVENT!

To me, the $1200 is a significant amount of money; to them it's a drop in the hat. That isn't stopping them from failing to have a heart and see my situation for what it is--I never anticipated I would have to fight them for a deposit refund based on the interaction I had up front. I am so sickened by the way they're choosing to handle this. I am taking this up with an attorney, as it's not their $1200 to keep. STAY AWAY!

Greedy stay awat
March 25, 2020

At the moment I am a paying member with a frozen account Let that sink in. Due to COVID-19 the State ordered "Shelter at home" order I have not worked since Wednesday March 11th. I asked them if I could temporarily suspend my account due to the situation and they refused this. They said "Monthly payment is still owed or else we will send your account to collections" according to the documents that I signed in December. I should note, I was not provided a copy of this document to take home in December, not sure if this matters or not, but I was trying to refer to this and was not able to. At first I just wanted to suspend my account but they have me so upset over this I just want to completely cancel. I have no income, worried about paying rent, have three mouths to feed and I am getting hit with this extra non-essential expense. Greedy owners. Stay away.

Huge Regret
December 31, 2019

This is the worst purchase I have ever made in my life. You only have three days to cancel your membership, which is not enough time to encounter hidden fees. Not only do you pay for your membership, but will have to pay at least double to attend most events, and/or trips. As a consumer, you will not benefit from this "social club". If you attempt to cancel your membership after the first three days, the company will send you to collections. Don't expect any assistance from the BBB either. Somehow this scam is legal, and the exact opposite of your initial intention of entertainment. Run away, far, far away!

Scamming Thieves
June 9, 2019

I joined for a 6 month period in February 2019. Staff misrepresent the services expected. They ask questions, then use your answers to lie about their service. When I told staff that I must be around respectful people with good values, they assured me that Events & Adventures has an environment similar to what I described. The company boasts a private, "elite" group of people. I attended ONE event, which alone proved a completely opposite situation. Given the extremely inappropriate behavior--yelling, profanity, sexual references and gestures, and overall foolishness--I was not comfortable attending more events. Then I read reviews such as on Yelp and the BBB, to find that "SCAM" is the word.

I reported the inappropriate behavior to Events & Adventures, and it was met with the most unprofessional and unaccountable mentality I have ever encountered. They collected information, on a first phone call, on what happened at the event for their own internal purposes. Firstly, I had told the slick salesman when I signed up that I was raised with good values and wanted to be around like-minded people. They assured I would--LIE! Secondly, they have done nothing but insist that I keep going to events--after I told them repeatedly that I am uncomfortable being in situations that likely would include the same behavior. The events are open to all members, and the Company approves these people for membership.

A separate phone call was made TO ME to collect information on what happened at the one event. The staff person told me that he would talk to "corporate" about it to see what type of solution could be formed. When he did not follow up with me for more than a week, I tried following up, asking to speak to him. My name and cell were taken down for a return phone call, and then within minutes I received an email from a third individual, rudely telling me that no refund was to be expected and that an events manager was notified to possibly help me go to MORE events--AGAIN!

A little later that same day, the president, Mark Owen, emailed me and rattled off a list of accusations about my behavior--that I was slandering the company, harassing staff, and so on. So if you follow up with someone who originally reached out to you about a legit complaint, E&A terms it harassment. Just like their sales pitch... misrepresentation of the facts. And let's add "refusal to do anything, but count the bank roll". So the president of Events & Adventures uses a psychological mind game of inaccurate finger pointing to turn the table on a legit complaint I have made--to somehow bully me to back off on my complaint?

You want to bully me, Mark Owen? Come at me, Bro! Come at me! After the way I have been treated by your scamming company misrepresenting and stealing my money, I am not backing down when representing the TRUTH about your unethical company. And if you want to come at ME with slander, how about you sue everyone else that left legit complaints on Yelp and other sites for YEARS... YEARS... citing inappropriate and unethical actions by your company. I have emails proving the company's attempt to do nothing! Then you try to flip the script and falsely accuse me!

When I say repeatedly that I do not want to be in situations where inappropriate behavior is aplenty, your company tells me that I have no choice but to tolerate it. I went to ONE event. Had I been allowed to prove, by attending one event before paying, that your staff misrepresented the events and people involved, then I could have made an ACCURATE, INFORMED decision to avoid indecent, inappropriate behavior. But instead, your company misrepresents and a 3-day cancellation contract then equates to SCAM. There aren't events "every day", so a member can not pay for services, attend to a first event and find out the TRUTH, and still have time to cancel.

OUTRIGHT SCAM!

They take your money
June 25, 2018

Events and Adventures is a nice idea in theory, especially if you are new to the area and do not know many people yet. However in REALITY, they lock you in a contract for the money, you still have to pay for the events of interest which vary in cost, and the events are spread all over downtown so of you don't feel like driving somewhere after a full work day -guess what? - you don't have many choices. And your not allowed to be in the club if your single. I now have a boyfriend, and am locked in the contract for another thousand bucks. Yes, that's $1000. Wanna join? Not cool. End of the day: they just want your money.
