I bought four shirts with Dodge Ram emblems the emblems were stamped on which means a couple washing it'll come right off cheaply made. Wanted to return them they have no type of return policy no return label nothing horrible company to deal with

I placed an order on 4/23/20 for a piece of fabric. My credit card was charged with a couple days however I still have not received my order. When my order was first placed, I received a message it would be shipped in 2 - 3 weeks. Now when I request an update on my order, I get a message that it will ship in 4 - 6 weeks. This is ridiculous. This is a piece of fabric 18" X 18 ". How long should a person have to wait. I have sent several emails to the owner and to Esty and have not received a response. Todays date is 5/27/20. I will be patient one more week and if I don't receive my order I will be reporting this fraud to my credit card company. With all the negative reviews I'm seeing on this website, I doubt I will get a response. Will never order from this company again.
I had been a 5 star seller since 2011, but when covid-19 hit in January, no one knew it would affect sales. In February I started getting complaints about late shipments, and frantically searched to find out why they were late. It was confirmed that it was due to covid quarantines, and I wrote to all of my customers informing them of the situation, and asked Etsy if there was anything further I should do. Their response? They suspended my account, kept my last paycheck and gave customers (with their purchases still on the way to them) their money back out of my account. They wouldn't even let me discuss it with them - just sent a form letter stating that I could petition to unsuspend my account in 2 weeks to give me time to think about what I had done wrong. All my customers were concerned about their orders, and it made ME appear unstable as a seller. Petition to unsuspend? Not on your life. I have a relationship with my customers - I wouldn't do this to them again. They can find me on my website. What Etsy did was not right. It was unethical, and they should have been there to help a small business through this pandemic - but instead, they showed their true colors. They won't even send me my 1099k from last year for my taxes.
Over the years I've bought plenty of great clothes from the nicest woman, Sue at The Coolest Giveaways... just bought some Quarantine graduation sweatshirts and they were SOO cute! I'm about to buy some more. Great quality products. I highly recommend. Karen
Your order could go to a seller anywhere in the world. Your money is the first thing to go. When you file a complaint, ETSY will pretend to support you. And the moment you ask for a refund, they will immediately close your case claiming the seller provided proof of sending the order. The proof is easily made fake mailing sheets the seller produces. AND THE FOREIGN SELLERS WILL NEVER GIVE YOU A TRACKING #. THEY WILL TELL YOU TRACKING IS ONLY PROVIDED FOR LARGE ORDERS. When does someone order online and not receive a tracking number. IT IS ALL A FAKE TO GET YOUR MONEY IN JEALOUS FOREIGN COUNTRIES.
2nd time buying from this site, items never were delivered, no response from seller, etsy. Waste of time

I purchased 2 different fabrics from a merchant selling on Etsy's site, in March. Unfortunately the products have not been delivered yet (as of May 16). The merchant has been contacted multiple times about it. But their general response has been: We can't take responsibility for delivery! They keep repeating that nonsense every time. I finally opened a case directly with Etsy 8 days ago. No response as of yet. On Amazon, if you have an issue with a product or a seller, you can easily contact Amazon and they take action very quickly to resolve the problem. On Etsy, it is next to impossible to contact them in order to have a dialogue. Their Help Center directs the buyer to different pre-written articles, but not an Etsy representative. There is no "Contact Us" button you can go to. My experience has been very frustrating with Etsy & that seller. This is the last time I buy anything on Esty. I am done.
I ordered 3 masks for aprox 13.00. After a month I received one mask With shipping it was 19.19. It is impossible to contact the seller. Who would pay this amount for on mask? I am so frustrated.
Shirts are to BIG and then when you get it they tell you they won't return it for a smaller size even if you haven't opened one of the items
I recently listed a couple of my items on Etsy but they deactivated my account without properly explaining me the reason, sent me scary emails that they will submit me to the collection agencies if they are willing to, and have frozen my $50 dollars for 6 months which I earned by selling 4 items. They customer service demonstrates absolute disrespect and harassment, and don't even think that their actions are legal they just took my money and do not want to pay me back. Distasting customer service, they don't even have telephone number to explain all details, and unreliable selling platform. Regards, Paul.
This is the only site that refuses a refund when a product is not received. It becomes the responsibility of the buyer when a shipped item is lost by the shipping company chosen by the seller. Etsy and the seller both get paid and the customer is out of luck.
I ordered a DVD on the 12 of April, 2020 which was paid for by VISA. The item was not shipped until 19 April, 2020. I received a shipping update that informed that my order would be received between 12 May, 2020 and 6 June, 2020. Give me a break, right! Normal book rated takes only 8 days at the most. They charged an automatic $4.98. The date today is 13 May, 2020 and no DVD. This is my first purchase as I am very conservative until I find out about a company's integrity. This will be the only purchase I will make from Etsy. We can't blame slow service on the USPS as it is in full operation.
ETSY needs to make their sellers put in LARGE PRINT, MULTIPLE TIMES a product is coming from China. This should be a common practice. Most people DO NOT want items made in China. It takes too long to arrive!
If I would have wanted items "Made in China" I would have went to a flea market.

Customer service is terrible. All they say is "I can understand your frustration". If this is a purchase over 20 bucks, go somewhere else. They will keep your money in "processing". I am about to sue them. I am about to report fraud on Etsy.
This was my first time using this site because my daughter wanted something for her birthday. One of the items where not available of course they quickly took my money but the refund has yet to come to my bank. I will never order from this site again! Thieves!
I've ordered from Etsy twice, and both times have been awful.
Delivery: The first item was promised delivery within 10 days. I received a shipping confirmation email on day 3. After a week and no receipt, I logged in to check order status. It was never actually shipped... the shipper had record of the tracking number but had never actually received the package for shipping. I contacted the seller and Etsy... requested order cancellation. Got an email from Etsy that it appeared my issue had been resolved. Nope, instead of cancellation, the seller FINALLY shipped the item more than 3 weeks after placing the order. The second order had similar issues, only this time after about 5 weeks I got an email from Etsy saying they know it's frustrating to not get something you've ordered and gave a $10 coupon good for 2 weeks. I never received the item ordered nor any other communication that the order would not be filled. No refund either. So after all that I landed with no ordered item, no refund, and a coupon for half what I had paid and only good for a short time.
Oh... and for one of the orders, there was no notification that the seller was a foreign seller so I also wound up with an unexpected charge from my bank for a foreign transaction. Will NEVER shop on Etsy again
Ordered mask over a month ago and never received the order. Did get a long emal saying they could not guarantee any delivery date and reordering would be of no use. Requested a refund but have gotten no response to tbat request.
Answer: Check the reviews, and Google the seller. Also, are the reviews written in good english? Does it seem fake? Check pictures from the buyers.
Answer: I would have to say no, with LOTS of exceptions. In the past few years Etsy has allowed business to claim handmade if it meets certain criteria. I often see many items that claim to be handmade but I have seen them on Alibaba being sold in bulk. That being said I look very closely and have purchased some wonderfu items from great sellers. The biggest problem with Etsy is that they no longer protect customers from fraud (they say they are not liable) but in doing that lots and lots or resellers and counterfeit items have saturated Etsy' s marketplace. I would never buy anything "vintage" there. What I have seen you are getting thrift store rejects or modern fake. Buyer beware! Investigate all vendors carefully!
Answer: I am agree with Ramina. 90% is not hand made. All comes from Factories. When someone has over 8000's item don't you ask who made it. They are all over from Pakistan to turkey east to west up united state. Etsy is happy just to take your money and every 4 or 5 months closing one store to show off and if you have some money as a credit they take it too. No customer service, no respect no manor, they made policy just for FUN and they have FUN with our pocket. Stay far from them FAR FAR.
Answer: I agree with Steve J on this one. A lot of sellers on Etsy work from home in the evenings for extra money. Most of them are not big businesses with massive inventories so I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Give them a little more time and if they dont send it out then file a case with etsy
Answer: Business checking isn't necessary (the banks now charge a monthly fee for a small business checking). You can pretty much set up a regular checking account
Answer: I believe this depends on each seller. Etsy is simply a platform for sellers, and often does not have any direct involvement with orders short of processing the payment. Certain items cannot be returned for safety and hygiene reasons, and sellers can refuse to do anything other than exchange. Contacting Etsy may or may not change the results.
Answer: If you do, I would be cautious about ordering from international sellers, use a credit card in case you need to contest the charges, and do NOT expect ETSY do a thing if you get ripped off. They are useless and could care less once the sale is final.
