The carrier is sturdy and looks good as well.
Easy to put together with the right tools.

I was dissatisfied with this product. The horizontal bar was a tight fit to the hitch, it was secure. The upright bar, that supports the bike, was loose. There was substantial movement. I was able to place a penny on the top and side where the two bars met. That shows how much give was at this connection. These two bars were made by the same company, to be used together, there is no reason this is such a poor fit. It is frustrating to problem solve something that is brand new. On the other hand etrailers' customer service and communication were outstanding. I ordered the carrier Tuesday at 5pm and received it Thursday by 2 pm. I received an email with every step of the shipping process, along with a name and contact information.

This hitch-mount rack is good and sturdy, and easily tilts away from the vehicle in order to allow the tailgate on my RAV4 to open and shut. A word to the wise: make sure all the parts are out of the packaging before starting assembly, and make sure all the hardware is mounted properly before trying to operate. Since the rack is so solid, and consequently heavy, it took two of us to get it mounted on my car.

My wife and I installed the hitch. It was pretty simple. The written instructions were nearly useless. They only offered 1 point that wasn't covered in the online video. The online video was EXCELLENT! I routed the battery connection inside the car (as I read from a person in the comments). It's easier and protects the cable much better than running it under the vehicle. But, if I was a 3rd party installer, I would do it under the car. It took about an hour to route the positive lead from the trunk, under the door kickplate molding, through the firewall, to the battery. Everything worked 1st time. Very happy.

I was in a BIG hurry to get my wheels replaced on my trailer and etrailer had a fair price and shipped them immediately. I had my tires mounted and was trailering my boat in 2 days. Thanks etrailer!

Video demo was for my exact car. Couldn't be happier with the shopping, ordering, delivery and install process. Can't wait to start using my new hitch.
