I placed my order on 7/9/2014. I was just notified last week 8/21/2014 to contact Electric Bargain Store by phone to give them my credit card again which seemed very odd to me. When I called I gave the representative two credit card numbers and he could not process either one because his computer was too slow. I asked if I could just go online and order it again since I do not feel comfortable with having to give a stranger my credit card information over the phone. He said I could not order it on the internet. I asked if he could do anything for me since the order has taken so long to get to me. He said he could not do a thing. He then passed me off to what he said was his manager. She had a faster computer that could process my credit card. I asked her if there was anything that the company could do for me since it has taken almost two months to get a light switch. She told me that she could send the product with two day delivery instead of ground shipping. I just got a notification that the product was sent by ground shipping. This is the last thing I need to complete a remodel job that should have been done last month, but have had to wait until now to complete the job.

Product & pricing & turnaround time = excellent. The shipping package is the problem. The box arrived (FedEx) looking like an accordion, totally smashed/compressed on one side half-way down. When I opened it, there was not enough padding inside for the box to keep its shape (just some crumpled paper and not much). Fortunately for me, my items were not damaged (I was worried!) but wow, that box looked like FedEx ran over it with the truck. My item was a recessed housing + trim, with a transformer so it was somewhat heavy, I would recommend packing the inside with at least some cardboard... better yet is the injectable foam (I know that's costly) but it works well, maybe just use that for the heavier items. This is my 2nd packaging issue w/electicbargainstores: the last order contained recessed trims, the box used was too small and the edges of the trims arrived bent. I was able to bend them back with my fingers, but give me a break. Improve the packaging and I would give you 5 stars across the board!
