Visited the side in March. They requested payment data. After I put it in, I realize this was a scam. They were up selling all kinds of items, and I realized they were not willing to help as they imply. Never downloaded anything or looked at any of their data. Initially charged $20.03 weeks later charged $105.94. Company said they're sorry for the stress but that they would not repay per their policy. This is a total scam. I will find to the right governing body for this supposed online help and report this. This is absolutely a scam. Stay away.
I had $46.49 AUD taken from my account without authorisation. I am already a paying customer and had purchased their book, which was not cheap. You would expect a basic level of respect and transparency, instead, I was charged for an app subscription I never agreed to.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, they have refused to refund the unauthorised charge. Customer service has been dismissive, unhelpful, and frankly rude.
This seems to be a pattern. Others have reported cancelling subscriptions only to be charged anyway, being told "no" when requesting refunds, and receiving no response when asking for personal and payment details to be deleted. When concerns are raised publicly, they suddenly reply asking you to email them, only to then respond with generic statements like "your feedback has been taken into consideration", with no actual resolution. It feels like gaslighting designed to make them look responsive while doing nothing. Save it!
I've now had to escalate this externally due to their refusal to take responsibility or stop unauthorised charges. Please be extremely careful dealing with this company. Based on my experience and others, this feels deceptive at best and a SCAM at worst. I fully expect a polished reply below about how they're "working on improving", like I said, save it! Actions matter, not empty words. Karma has a way of balancing things out.
SCAM! DO NOT DOWNLOAD! DO NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASES! They charged me more than once at the same time for their services and then refused to do a refund when I called them out on it. The app itself is not set up for someone with actual ADHD. It might be helpful for someone with a chronic illness but not for someone with executive dysfunction. Not worth the price. Not worth the hassle. Not worth the embarrassment of being duped. 6/11 I emailed again because I had gotten responses from the company from other reviews I have left saying that they want to resolve the issue but the representative Jessica Bailey still refuses to do any kind of refund.
They have an F rating on BBB btw.
I subscribed to a 1-week subscription via App Store app. I didn't use the app at all, since it was just crap.
They took money from my card each month for a monthly subscription that didn't even appear in Apple subscriptions. After 4 months, I noticed the transactions on my credit card and I wrote to them to report this error. They claimed that according to their terms and conditions, there is no refund in this situation.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS APP, IT IS A SCAM. THERE IS NO WAY TO CANCEL! PLEASE BE SAFE AND DO NOT USE. They have no customer service, they dont reply. Please don't use this app
I use the app every day and it helps me with my tasks. One of the best things I got this year for my self! It helps me track my mood, my energy levels, help me track my medications and sleep quality. I also like the experiments tab, where I try new things every other week.
To be brutally honest the app needs a bit of work when it comes to providing full customization, however I think that what they already have in their app is amazing, like you can spend a whole day just setting up what you wish to work on. The experiments are pretty cool as well!
The app has been incredibly helpful for me in managing my ADHD. Structured routines and reminders have made a noticeable difference in keeping me organized and on track with daily tasks. The focus techniques the app provided were very practical and effective, it helped me with my work without overwhelming me.
Was really struggling with self worth and productivity as I've gotten older Effecto helped keeping tabs on everyday tasks. This in turn helped me stay on top of all of the things that I had to do. The insights part helped me fully unlock my potential. The E-books are amazing as well.
As a user from Spain you rarely get an app that has good Spanish translation. However this app delivered. Aside from the stellar translation the content was amazing as well! I really loved the experiments section of the app as the alchohol detox section helped me with distancing myself from over use. My TDAH makes it really hard to quit so this was a major achievement in my life!
The insights and the experiments part really tickle your brain in a certain way. I mean it turned in to a sort of ritual that I do every day. And well yeah I mean I do use my phone more often but I feel a lot more in control with what I think and do so that's really amazing!
Not as promised, completely useless app and a waste of money. Their ads and sales funnel is more compelling then the rest of the app. Then you get a plain interface with not much to do. To cancel you have to write to them directly, which is super sketchy.
The app is incredibly poor in quality and is non-responsive. They purposefully left out the cancel subscription option on their app to force you to pay for months you've not signed up for.
Do not sign up for this app you're going to first of all waste your money. Second of all this entire company is a scam. They purposefully are not responding to messages and force you to pay the shocking part is that they left out the cancel subscription option from their app.
I feel scammed by the Effecto App, the advertisement shows that it'll help with ADHD symptoms, but it's not a ADHS plan, it's a symptom tracker, using it overwhelms me. After 3 days of use, I realized it wouldn't be helpful, so I asked for a refund. The company says "All sales of digital products are final and non-refundable unless there is a delivery issue with the product or an issue preventing access to the app. Since your Effecto plan was correctly delivered and accessed, we can't offer a refund in this case", which just doesn't make sense to me. I don't recommend it for ADHD people at all.
Effecto App is a scam that preys on people with ADHD and it's wrong. The marketing takes advantage of impulsivity of people with ADHD to get them to spend money on an app that has no personalization whatsoever, despite its promises to the contrary. Effecto app is not personalised ADHD plan as advertised - this is a symptom tracker that comes with a 36 page, text heavy booklet that people with ADHD are expected to use to make the app work for their ADHD.
I purchased a one-year subscription with Effecto almost 2 months ago, realised after 10 minutes that it was not for ADHD and immediately requested a refund. The company has continually refused a refund despite the fact that I won't be using it.
Do not be deceived by positive reviews - you will notice that all the positive reviews come from accounts that only review once. And let's be honest, no one except a company posing as reviewers seeks out sites like this to leave positive reviews. Check Trustpilot where around 70% of reviews are 1 star.
I left a bad review but got feedback from the app that they are attending to the issue. I don't know how to delete the review, so just editing it and will give proper feedback when it is sorted.
Probably the best thing that could ever happen to me. I've been diagnosed with depression 2 years ago and it's been getting harder and harder to cope with it every day. My mood was totally out of control and all I wanted to do was stay at home and just lay in the bed. My therapist recommended me to be as active and as sociable as possible and try to figure out what makes me feel better. He recommended this app to learn more about myself and how my actions impact my health. I've been using it for 4 months already and it's been amazing experience. Even though it was hard but eventually I found out what kind of things make me happier and which things make me feel even worse. Step by step I started doing the things I really like and well. I'm pretty sure I'm healing.
This app saved me! I've been diagnosed with depression almost 2 years ago and I didn't reach any results throughout my treatment. My psychiatrist told me that it's not really too severe so I don't need any meds yet but I didn't agree with it. Tried to manage depression myself, with some CBT and a help of therapist but that didn't help me too much. Found this app on the internet 3 months ago and well... it's been amazing! I started tracking my mood and all the things I do and people I meet with throughout the day. The insights it provided on the data I entered are astounding! With just a few changes in my daily habits I've already managed to increase my mood. Can't wait for further results!
Absolutely love this app! Great to keep track of things and inspect yourself. Help me to ease my issues and stop always triggering my mood swings. It's even better that I can show everything to my therapist so he could see how I'm doing every day. I can easily customize my own factors and habits that are relevant to me and the medication tracker works good too. I used to miss my vitamin doses really often, now I'm always on time with them. Nice to have everything in one app, thanks!
Answer: I have been using it for about a month and the interface is really easy to navigate, the insights started showing up after the first couple of days. They help me manage my constant overthinking and brainfog.
Answer: Less expensive certainly, but I haven't seen anything as good as Effecto.
Answer: I didn't see anything that was out of the ordinary.
