My kid has been doing this for a half of a semester and has trouble of keeping any high grades because the teachers from his school has not responded and all the teachers there are not even skilled enough for the classes. Instead of teaching my kid the proper way how to do it. He takes a test and gets it all wrong he does everything right in the assignments but when it comes to test he fails them. My mother works with computers I have called her many times to help my son out with Computer Science but when she tells me the answer my kid gets it wrong this website is a bad way of teaching kids and the teachers don't even care about the kids at home. Even our assistant superintendent wrote back to me that all the qualifications are being meet with there teachers even though they don't know what they are doing and they refuse to email my kid back. Poor effort by the people who created Edgeunity and poor effort on the assistant superintendent by throwing unqualified teachers into a website they don't even know work..

As a student using Edgenuity, I just have to say one thing... Edgenuity is not very well made. The teachers do not explain everything then expect you to take 5 quizes on one unit in like 2 days. The quizes are way harder then they prepare you for and I have to spend 90% of my time studying just to fail. When I was talking to my friends about our grades, they all said they theres were low. Ever since I started online because of COVID-19 my grades have been dropping drastically and at this point I'm begging my teachers for extra credit. The teachers voices are so monotone and it's like torture to listen to them for 7 hours every day! They don't provide any fun activities to engage students into the assignment and all they give you is a bunch of questions that don't even make since. I used to love school but now im dreading it every day. Sometimes on quizes you can exit it but if you already saw a question, they don't let you go back to it even if you haven't even answered it yet. There are so many glitches that happen and sometimes it dosen't even save your progress even if you finished the assignment. They also dont give enough time into every unit were supposed to learn! We were learning about 3 units in one video and one of the units was about womens suffrage. I had 15 videos to watch and only one of them was about womens suffrage and it was 35 seconds long. Like EXSCUSE ME! They be acting like learning about womens rights is not important but learning about 1 law 3 times is a big deal! It's 2020 people! Oh wait I just forgot, THESE VIDEOS WERE MADE 10 YEARS AGO! Thats another issue. These videos are outdated! Some of the learning types have changed! Guys stay away from this horrible site! Even my parents think that Edgenuity is terribly made! I wish my teachers switched us to a better online program!

My daughter uses this and i think its a waste of time they should just call over google meets and act like they're in school. I have one daughter in school and the rest are on edgenuity and they're failing and my daughter thats in school isnt. Its not entertaining for the kids and just makes them not want to do work. The teachers dont tell them what and what not to write and my daughter in middle school takes hours writing down all the things that it says in the video. They just leave them with so much work the most things that theyve made my middle school daughter do was watch 12 videos and out of those videos she had to answer 6 questions. And then a test after that, and especially since she writes EVERYTHING that the videos say/show down. Overall i DONT recommend this at all. Ill put a picture of the least amount of things that they've made her do

I am a teacher and a parent. My daughter is using this for remote learning. She had been complaining that the tests cover material not addressed in the lessons. Initially admonished her for racing through and not paying attention, until I witnessed it myself. In a social studies unit test on colonial America there were 3/15 questions that required knowledge of more recent history to be able to fully comprehend the question and answers. For example, she was asked to evaluate a political cartoon from the 1921 Emergency Quota Act for bias. She is a 7th grader learning about the events that preceded the revolution. How can she evaluate a political cartoon about an event she knows nothing about? How is that a fair assessment of her knowledge?

This being the only option right now for my child in my school district outside of traditional school, I'm very disappointed. The Edgenuity program has so many issues that are not being addressed such as the way the courses are formatted, the ability to communicate with teachers, and the ridiculous amount of "busy work " put in place to camouflage the fact the teachers are not there to promote success of their students.
On top of all of this, my child doesn't have the necessary course materials to complete assignments. For example, an assignment will be to read a certain passage and to take e notes but there's no access to the passage itself. Also, if my child has any questions for tbe teacher there isn't a email available to do so. How are you suppose to communicate with your teachers if you don't have an email address? The worst of itallis the"customer service". Today I waited over an hour three separate times only for the call to be disconnected. This whole experience with this platform has been a nightmare. I wish I could rate this review zero stars.

Just started online learning with my friend whos also doing Edgenuity. It was ok at first, but then we immediately agreed that it was just too boring and we dreaded the part of the day when we had to do it. It also turned out that one of the classes was teaching the wrong info for the test. The videos were way too long and I zoned out many times. Sometimes I find myself going on other sites to entertain myself. Definitely don't recommend, overall poor experience and I do hope in the future our school will endorse in other learning platforms.

This website is just unimaginably bad, for three reasons specifically. First the horribly awful format, kids are forced to so much unhelpful work that its just useless, Quizzes and Test every single day, countless projects that are don't make sense, and Teachers that don't teach well. Second, oh my God the bugs and stupid features. I cannot tell you how many times I have worked with my kids and the software just either stops responding or just restarts the entire lesson deleting all work. Also, if you have an assignment that takes more than one day to complete it will lower your grade significantly before it is even due making your grade go down for literally no reason. Third, it is boring as all hell. Picture a 13-14 year old teen at home by themselves and you give them countless hours of work that is boring, hard to understand, and just plain annoying. Do you really think the kid will focus at all and try to stay ahead?! Nobody wants to do useless, boring work, so at least make an attempt to be interesting! Lastly I would NOT recommend this site to anyone, it doesn't understand what school even is, kids wont remember the information you tell them if you just give them a bunch of worksheets and test and call it a day! There is literally nothing good I can think of about this site, it should be taken down and schools should not use it. If you need something to teach your kids, use khan academy. I found khan academy when I was in Collage and it helped me a TON. It is easy to use, understandable, FREE, and has classes and easy lessons to follow and learn from. TLDR Edgenuity = Awful. Khan academy = Great!

The Edgenuity middle school science program is terrible throughout. From a teacher who makes mistakes in her presentations and then apologies, to quizzes that ask questions not covered in the coursework and not having correct answer options for the simplest of questions. For example, their question was "What is the definition of science?" and their correct answer was the definition of scientific knowledge. The teacher, the software and the construction of the course is awful. We had our 6th grade homeschool daughter drop the course after 3 lessons.
Middle school math has numerous software bugs in their assignments. Our daughter gets the answer correct, but the software doesn't like the explanation and marks it incorrect, even though the answer is correct. If your school offers multiple curriculum options, choose something other than the very poorly designed Edgenuity.

During the Covid pandemic, my 2nd grade daughter has been givrn thr option for virtual school. I said yes. The school chose edgenuity. The SIS video, which I have watched several times because I thought I might have missed something, is not what is on my daughters platform. Half of the things you cannot find. She has absolutely NO teachers assigned to her. All 7 courses have no picture of a teacher, they all have the same email which is, *******@edgenuity.com and the same phone number which is, *******333. I have sent several emails the past 2 weeks. NO REPLY. Because it is obvious there are no REAL teachers. It is asking for a submission on Arts and Crafts, yet it does not say what is to be submitted. I am frustrated. My daughter is very confused. You call the only number that edgenuity has and it tells you to leave a name and number because they are experiencing high call volume. Every. Single. Time. On the recording it says there is a chat button on your screen. WHERE? It is NOT on ANY page of this platform. There are things missing from this. How is my daughter supposed to learn? How is she supposed to pass 2nd grade when there are clearly no teachers on this platform and they are asking for submissions of things that are not there. Explain that to me. I will never recommend this poor platform to ANYONE. EVER.

My son is very smart so, school decided to put him in his own math path after conducting some math tests including edgenuity. He likes everything about edgenuity except for the assignments that contains for example "explain why it is wrong or write it in sentences", even though he explained it in nice way, he is not scoring for that answer because, I think "AI" is searching for some other keywords or phrases. If an assignment contain two of these questions, out of ten, he is scoring only for other 8 questions. He is complaining a lot about this and sometimes he is getting frustrated because he knows the answers and not scoring enough.

My child has always been an A-B honor roll student in public school and homeschool. She passed her college SAT in the 7th grade. She's been using this site through her school for a little less than a month and is already behind. She has to take hours of notes (some with teachers that are too quiet to fully understand) per class, filling at least nine pages in each notebook, then is expected to do two quizzes every day in all of them. Sometimes she's up until 2 or 3 AM--and is still behind. All but two of her classes are on this website. The two Google Classroom classes' work is caught up and her grades are good. Edgenuity curriculum is obviously outdated and needs revision. We're about to switch to actual homeschooling because this is so bad!

This is the program our school uses for online learning (if you choose to not do in person learning) during the pandemic. It has been horrible. Too many glitches. I tried to call the company and left a message and they never called back. The recording said they were having a high call volume. I can see why! Also, this program was causing my son to fail every class. There was so much work given and we could never keep up. He said the videos were boring and he felt like he wasn't learning anything. I can verify this because his quiz scores were usually around 30% correct. Then if that's not bad enough it lost work we did. All of this happened to a friend of ours as well. The kids got so much anxiety from this that they are now back in school and we will never use this platform again.

My daughter recently took a 'placement' test. She was given NO context, we came from out of state and were given the runaround by the district. She is a straight A student, and had already skipped two grades, and managed to stay at the top of her class. Now do to bureaucratic@%$#^ she now has to repeat a grade that she WAS making As in, even after passing it as a homeschooled student. The company makes money, and the district doesn't want to budge on protocol that makes no sense. I wouldn't trust anything this company is selling.

Ok, so here's the problem. My son has to take a quiz, every single day, and has to pass them! If he dosen't pass he has to email that teacher for another retake! This has wasted hours and hours of his time because he cant do anything until the quiz gets unlocked! Plus, the waiting time for the teacher to respond is absurd! One day it toook that teacher 2 WHOLE DAYS to respond to his email. This program should be shut down and taken off from the online school list. Even my son agrees with that.

First week of virtual learning for my 4.0+ advanced 10th grader. The teacher even stated she didn't fully understand it. Nothing about this makes any logical sense, and it is glitchy. (Rest of the internet in the house is working fine) I have a VERY upset honors student trying her hardest to figure out 1. How to use this program, and 2. Ultimately teach herself Algebra II. Extremely disappointed and feeling helpless as a parent.
