The man in algebra 1 looks like a offbrand one punch man that let go early on and decided to become a school teacher he then took some magic Indian speech classes that make his voice smooth as butter for 399 a year
I have learned nothing from this site and it takes forever to get anything done it makes me so stressed and i hate it. I usually just leave it playing and do something else because i never learn anything anyway. I try very hard in school but this is just dumb and even my teachers hate it nobody in my school wants to do this and we are working to get rid of it.
A student couldn't get past a science lab to continue on. They quickly fixed the issue and the communication was quick.
The site is awful and I bet a lot of people would agree. If I could give zero stars I would. Don't use Edgenuity!
Everything, literally everything, is wrong with this program. We were signed up through school for a flexible option during covid... whoever vetted this program and chose it should be fired. The curriculum is awful; it is inconsistent, and completely inadequate. For example, in the LA for this week we were working on frogs, then suddenly they through in a thing about butterflies. To teach linking and helping verbs I posted a picture to show how they taught it. The games suck, and do not teach or make learning fun. This is impossible. The only reason my kids are learning is because I am pretty smart and used to teach and tutor kids. Then there's the actual site. Instead of a full screen you have to continually scroll, and if you scroll too far you get the extra stuff at the bottom. My 7 year old can not get a handle on it, so I have to be there all the time just to use the site. Every single game is impossible for their little fingers to use the mouse or touch pad. It's difficult for me too. You have to click and drag, over and over, and it's extremely frustrating. Unlike i-Ready, which is so user friendly (not to mention teaches, and is fun). If you don't finish you can not easily get back to the page you left off on, you have to go back to the beginning and scroll down and click to the next page, scroll down and go to the next page. To sum up, do not purchase this program. ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN THIS.

This is a great program BUT students have to be motivated and willing to do the work. The projects and rubrics could use some modifications to a digital format but students can learn with remote support. If they are not good at independent learning, they will likely struggle. Parents have to stay on them to keep up with the schedule. But there are countless components that are great about this program.
Although the concept of virtual Learning seems like an acceptable alternative to attending public schools, there are a great number of downfalls. Not having a "live instructor" being the number one problem.
I sent a nice letter of enquiry over about virtual-distance learning at the high school level. Resume included, and an application letter. NOTHING happened for about six weeks. Then I get a nice email that says I have to call a toll free number to get my question answered... I didn't ASK any questions. I merely referenced my credentials to see if they might be of use to Edgenuity in a virtual classroom setting...
- too many assignments; as a student I I have around 6/7 and everyday in each class I have about 3 or 4 assignments which is 24-18 assignments everyday that is way to much work for anybody middle school high school or college unacceptable nobody especially a middle schooler can get that done in one day which leads to nothing getting done and bad grades = set up for failure.
- videos long dull and miserable & outdated; as a middle schooler my attention spam is not going to be that long so please explain why there are 20 min videos. Nobody would even watch a 20 min video about learning just cause on their own so why are you doing it here Edgenuity? Also another problem is how outdated the videos are these videos are rumored and 'proven' to be 5 years old that is not going to lie lazy for a program that should be teaching. The videos are really boring if your gonna have them be at an unacceptable amount of time at least TRY to be entertains they talk like there being held at gunpoint and the people talking talk to low.
- test/quizzes; as if this program couldn't get worse enough they have at least 4 quizzes every week also say you were to get lower then 70% on a grade because the content in the video as nothing to do with the questions then you would have to contact your teacher to open a retake for you. It's also dumb how when you do a test or a quiz you cannot see what questions you got wrong which leads no room for improvement and a bad way of learning and just moving on to a new lesson without fully understanding the material which leads to cheating not gonna cap.
-personally-
- i would always be an all A or A, B honor roll student
but with this program its impossible and that is sad that
people struggle to get a B when in regular school I don't
get half as much work and much easy and relevant work = better grades.
- i have cried over this program multiple times and I know I
im not the only one because I have read other reviews saying
they experience this also this is overall a bad program 0/10 DON'T BUY.
This system is lazily designed and generally unhelpful for me as a teacher.
It looks as if no work has been done since it was initially constructed.
One of the huge holes that I found right away was in communication. The system does not let you easily send a message to several select students or communicate in the system with parent email addresses.
I send a message about this to the company and got this as a prize for my patience:

I have never read such nonsense from anyone not in a political position.
Either fix the product or tell us you won't.

Our district decided to use this system for distance learning. It is inflexible and there is no place for an instructor at all. Teachers become aides in their own classroom. It is no substitute for a curriculum or scope and sequence at all: it is Edgenuity or nothing, baby.
In the training videos provided on the Edgenuity site, they honestly try to sell having a pause and start button as a feature for their lecture video series for self pacing. All of the resources they urge teachers to use are all other applications or sites; none of it is within the Edgenuity scheme.
Edgenuity is perfect for a class or two over the summer, but for a semester/year curriculum? No way in hell.
I am a teacher that uses Edgenuity with 6th and 7th graders. The program is well built and meets the needs of our online students. It is easy to navigate and set up. It includes ways to create RTI for students as needed.
Lessons can also be adjusted as needed. When I do have issues I can email and I usually get a response within 48 hours.
I only gave 4 stars because when I call the help line or use the chat functions I can be put on hold for over an hour. (This has happened a couple of times.) I have learned to use email. Once I get a hold of them they are extremely helpful.
Program gets a five star review.
Customer Service only a three.
That gives them a four.
Keep in mind that I'm a student in Algebra 2 using this. Edgenuity is simply bad. The lessons are repetitive, and I rarely learn anything from it as it's basically just memorizing stuff. The website itself is outdated and has a lot of issues. ( like the graphing calculator not opening and holding me back because it won't open) The videos explain too much of the obvious and don't really tell you how to do what they're trying to get you to learn. Edgenuity is bad, teachers, students, and parents my school hate it, and there's much better alternatives out there.
It is next to impossible to make progress in Edgenuity with so many tasks to complete. The tasks are tedious, videos are boring, and assignments you can find the answers to online. It appears the material is written at a higher level than the grade level for which is it assigned.
I attempted to email back and forth with a representative in order to transfer a student's account from another school to ours, but received a series of confusing instructions, see below:
"In regards to your concern about Transferring the student course to another school, As it turns out it is not possible to transfer student progress from a school to another school, however, there's a workaround by going to the student's old school and look for the student progress report and basing on her course report put it manually to your school.
You can also add the student to your school Personal Wellness Course as a workaround since it is not possible to transfer student progress from school to another school."
For the love of god, do not enroll in this program. Let me just start off with the fact that this program is stressing and is the source of anxiety. As a student, I am being completely honest and speaking from experience. I consider myself a decently smart student in academics, my gpa is 4.25 and last year before this pandemic I've had all As to 1 or 2 B's. Ever since this program started, I've felt like a failure and a slacker despite the fact that I'm finishing assignments everyday. This website is very stressing, I have never been this much behind for school, I've never woken up each day with this much anxiety when I go to check my progress bar. Some how in 1 day I went from being caught up, 90.1% to being behind. I will admit I have felt stressed to the point where I considering suicide from being this much overworked.
It's not that Edgenuity is a bad program, but it's also not a great program.
It's clearly created and run by people who know a lot about technology, software and managing programs. But it doesn't seem like anyone has much of an education background.
I can't modify lessons or assessments, I can't really add in my own content and I can't communicated with my students directly. But the program has saved me during this pandemic! For all it's shortfalls, it's still a big reason I can show up everyday and feel confident that I'm going to survive the day.
I'm probably never going to love the program but I do appreciate the peace of mind it's brought me. It's like a coworker who I know isn't a great teacher. They show up everyday and do their best, even if it isn't very good, and that's better than nothing
After 2 months of using this platform and getting comfortable with it, we got hit with a big whammy overnight. My 1st grade student was all caught up in everything except her Science until this Wednesday, caught up in Math until this Friday. When I went to check what we need to do tomorrow(Wed.), I realized the pacing was somehow adjusted overnight. Now it's saying that she's behind again? The program itself or someone managing target due dates and pacing adjusted when assignments and lessons were do. Things that as of yesterday weren't do until this Wednesday, are all of a sudden due Last Friday! We worked too hard on her schoolwork to be bamboozled like this. Not at all happy with Edgenuity right now! Be aware of all possible glitches and mishaps, and speak up for the children/students you are representing. This is uncalled for and speaks of sabotage.
I'm a student doing virtual and the quality of the audio is terrible, I have my laptop on max volume and still can't hear the instructor very well. Then, when you use headphones or Airpods it LITERALLY sounds like your listening to an Alien distress signal.
I facilitate a continuation high school and I have students who are trying to get the credits needed to graduate. Edgenuity has the core and elective courses that they need. Given, it's not the most exciting program to listen to, but this is the only recourse these troubled kids have. I like that we can daily and weekly celebrate their accomplishments to help them stay motivated to complete high school.
