It was our first time dealing with Eddie Bauer. I have to say everything was poor, sales people, Eddie Bauer's Bank, Eddie Bauer credit Card Eddie Bauer Store in Oklahoma city back and forth for 7,8 weeks
and we are still trying to pay them. All we did were trying to follow their instruction they gave us in the store. All it was to have their credit card and save $4:00 we are still struggling to pay and get out of it.

I was told this item **************, Superior Down Parka, Color Black and Size XXL Tall
Was shipping on 1/14/2022 and would be shipped overnight by your customer service rep last week.
THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I need someone from Eddie Bauer to call me
To clarify this. I ordered this item on 12/28/2021 of last year this is totally unacceptable.
I will NEVER order another item from Eddie Bauer in the future and I will make sure I let
Everyone know that this company has a horrible online ordering process.
Soon after I placed order, I realized shipping address don't match what I typed in, so I called customer service to correct shipping address, the lady on the phone told me that my order was already in distribution center and being processed. REALLY, it's only 15 mins after I placed the order, so I asked her to cancel the order, and she told me she can't do it neither but she will email the department handling this matter to cancel it, and obviously she did nothing as she said, cause in 8 days later, I found my order made a round trip from point A, travel to B maybe C too, then back to A, Eddie Bauer, the sender.
I bought an Eddie Bauer down jacket with a lining that wasn't long enough. As a result, it couldn't be folded like an ordinary hem and then attached to the polyester shell. When it start to fray/shred, Eddie Bauer wouldn't respond to my concern, saying the jacket was outside the one-year warranty period. This was not a wear issue; it was a manufacturing defect that they should have compensated me for.
Order for Christmas gift was placed November 11th and never heard from company till December 16th letting me know they did not know when it would arrive. Called today, December 27th and find out they knew it was not coming till February 11th, possibly, they could not be sure. Was difficult to call and emails came back as unsendable.
I placed an order on 12/20 for a men's vest as a Christmas present. I paid an extra $12 for overnight shipping. I received confirmation on 12/21 that the product was now being sent 2-day FedEx. I checked the routing number everyday and it shows package is on its way but as of 12/27 I have not received the package and FedEx has NOT been updated since 12/21. I tried chat with no success and called EB Customer Service which is OFF-Shore and can only parrot the same information. I could barely hear the person with all the background noise. Obviously a huge off-shore call center. Each time I called they only could tell me my order was delayed with no specifics. A chat person told me it has been lost and to call customer service. I called again and asked for an ON-Shore customer service person and was told there is none as all of EB's customer service is all OFF-Shore. To say that I am frustrated is an understatement. If this is there indicative of how EB does business I would not be shopping online again.
I purchased 4 sets of PJs on Nov 19. I took free shipping. The tracking showed they made it to SLC and we're supposed to be delivered on Dec. 1. Nothing came. Finally on Dec 17 they said they would give me a refund.
I ordered 3 more sets of PJs on Dec 17.
They shipped two of them on Dec 21. The other one was shipped on Dec23. This was 3
To 5 day shipping. They don't mention that they fail to get them in the mail for 3-5 days. Not arriving in 3-5 days!
No Christmas PJs. This year. Never again Eddie Bauer!
Purchase an online gift card directly from Eddie Bauer. Did not receive gift card. Discovered they sent it to.con instead of.com I have tried everything to get them to help me and either cancel the card and send me a new one or just cancel the order altogether. I've spoken to numerous people and keep getting passed around from person to person no one there knows what to do, talk about an unprofessional ignorant company.
Deceptive Businesses practices. Decent clothing but what does that matter if you do not get it when needed. Plenty of other places for same quality or better now. Ordered something for my son's Christmas present well in advance of Christmas. (About 4 weeks ago). The order page did NOT state it was out of stock. If it had, I would have ordered something different. (Different color perhaps). Received an Order confirmation directly after I placed the order which stated: "Estimated Arrival: 5 - 7 business days". It said "ARRIVAL". Of course I believed that it meant arrival to me. Not arrival to one of their warehouses,... whenever the heck that would be. Why would customers care about that? Called about the order and the foriegn customer service rep (probably working for $2/hr in a large call center somewhere were wages are terrible) told me that it was back-ordered and they would not receive it until after Christmas. Then it would ship to me. Well after Christmas. This is just plain deceptive. I'm sure their MRP/ERP system is totally automated and they could (if they wanted to be honest) program the system to alert the customer at the confirmation that the item is not in stock. Seems they do not want to chance loosing a sale, so they would rather be deceptive. It's a shame because that is a sure fire way to loose customers. I am also quite sure that they could locate the item in one of their stores through their MRP/ERP system and have it sent out from a store... but I guess that would cost them more and the bean counters have calculated that it is preferred for them (profit wise) to take a chance and upset a customer.
I ordered a pair of polar wind pants from Eddie Bauer. It took almost two weeks to receive a package and when it arrived, they had sent me a pair of shoes instead of the pants. I called customer service. The customer service rep was polite but the company refuses to cancel my order until I either take the wrong item back to an Eddie Bauer store or go through the multi step process of returning it by mail, both major inconveniences to me. It seems I am paying for their mistake and they refuse to credit my account until the item is returned. Won't be ordering from them again and should have read their awful reviews before doing so in the first place.
I have reached out to their customer service team twice regarding what appears to be a lost package. The package seems to be going from state to state, farther away from me. Not to mention that the package delivery date has been pushed out multiple times. However, each representative just apologies or quotes their shipping time frame which it has already passed. This package will have taken a month to get to me if the delivery date is accurate. TERRIBLE customer service, company seems to have tanked.
Shipping was an absolute nightmare. I made a slight error on my shipping address. I noticed it immediately after and tried to contact them. They didn't respond to email and then when i called they said they couldn't do anything because the order was still processing. I asked them to cancel the order and they said they could only put in a request to cancel the order but couldn't guarantee it. The order was shipped to the wrong address and FedEx wouldn't update the address either because of the cheap option EB used with them.
No one should have to wear a mask. Terrible to hurt youth. Disgusting! This manager should be fired. Human Rights should be all over this store. Abigal she is a young girl, terrible she was treated this way!
Vaccinated people still get covid! Terrible! Discrimination is not something I support!
So at an Eddie Bauer sale I was offered a 10 % off deal for my purchase if I signed up for an Eddie Bauer credit card. They took every bit of personal info including ssn for that privilege. The associate took my credit card for that purchase so I thought the purchase was paid for plus getting the promised 10%. Two months later I got a notice from the bank service for Eddie Bauer that I was in default of payment for the purchase I made at the Kansas city "legends" outlet store. I responded that I paid for that already. But they had not charged my original credit card I offered at that time, but rather put the charge on the Eddie Bauer card without my knowledge. After the charge went past the time for payment, again without my knowledge, I was charged $31.00 dollars for a late fee. Hurrying to set up a payment for that charge, I made a mistake setting up the bank pay, and the payment was returned. Eddie Bauers (comity) bank charged me another fee because their charge was returned by my bank. Another $31.00. So on a $85.00 purchase I was charged $62.00 in late fees, one being fraudulent charge put on me without my knowledge, and I never received the original 10% off for getting the junk card in the first place. Eddie Bauer defrauded me with a bait practice. They never fulfilled the bargain that I signed up for because I never got a discount for my purchase. Then changed the purchase to a card without my knowledge, and wrongfully charged me a fee almost half the cost of the original purchase. They were deceptive, predatory and took advantage of an older customer. They refused to give me the 10 % off so lied about that. Frauds and cheats, crazy for a name brand company. I will never do business with their company again.
I had two pairs of 'guide gear' shorts in which the buttons fell off. Before going to Australia for two years I purchased them and then put them into storage. When I came back to the USA I began wearing them and the buttons fell off almost immediately. Took them in and the clerk politely informed me that it was normal wear and tear. EB only warrantees for 12 months. I understood under normal circumstances, but clearly the shorts had not been used. EB makes crap products and when called out on it, they tell you to go get fuc*#@. They are a total sh$% company that has slick marketing with crapola products. They hire young 'industry leaders' to promote their garbage products. REI may be more expensive, but they stand by their stuff and the REI products I've used have been bulletproof. Save your money and time. They will screw you...
Missoula Montana store. Jerkstore
I returned a defect coat and got confirmation that Eddie Bauer had received it. I made a few calls in the past 6 months, but have not received the refund until now. They always said that the e-gift card will be sent to my email box with 48 hours, and also provided me a order number of the e-gift card, but never really send it out. The status is always "your shipment is being prepared ". It's so frustrating!
I did a reservation online and I was told I need to pick up at 1850 29th Street Boulder, CO ******* in 24 hours. I drove 35mins from Golden to Boulder today to pick up. However, the store was temperally closed for weather reason on a sunny day. It was "Open" on google map and I have not been informed about the closure at all. All other shops in Boulder are open today except Eddie Bauer. I understand there was some snow last night. But at least I should be informed about the closure as I made the reservation. I made the trip for nothing.
I called the customer service and the store the other day. They refused to trans the product to a closer store and asked me to make another one hour round trip or pay extra for shipping. They want me to take the full responsibility.
I will never buy an Eddie Bauer product again. I returned a shirt that had small holes in them. After waiting 3 months they sent my shirt back and said it was normal wear and tear. Seriously the shirt was 5 months old and that is normal wear and tear. You have lost my business forever.
Just got off another tortuous, very long phone call with EB customer "service" during which I told the rep that, for the recorded record, I have never in my 65 years on this earth dealt with a company that provided comparable horrendous customer service. There have been way too many of these calls/chats/emails taking up my time. This one was regarding a credit that was supposed to have been made to my Eddie Bauer credit card for a pair of very uncomfortable shoes I purchased and returned. And, this was not the first time a purchase was not credited, just the latest. As I read through the reviews, I recognized experiencing almost every complaint. Supposedly I will be receiving a gift card in the mail. If EB remains true to form, I'll probably get it in three months, if at all. Once I use it, I'm done with this company. Such a shame because I'm Petite and my husband is Tall, and I've stuck with them because they (sometimes) have those special sizes available. But I'm done. Please beware and be prepared to have countless minutes-into-hours spent trying to get Eddie Bauer to provide even minimal service.
I like Eddie Bauer's products and have shopped in their stores for years. However, Eddie Bauer customer service and institutional honesty has fallen on hard times. I ordered about $90 of sale items on Dec 20,2020. I received an automated confirmation and FedEx tracking codes. One month out FedEx was still indicating these tracking codes never entered their system, so nothing to track. After several emails to Eddie Bauer's CS I finally got a response and the rep said my MC would be refunded in 3 to 5 business days. Of course, that didn't happen and 3 weeks after the fake refund I'm calling my credit card company to reverse the charges. I don't know if Eddie Bauer are crooks or asleep at the wheel but the bottom line is I didn't get product or refunds due, so it would be wise to take your business elsewhere.
