I ordered a floral spray for a funeral. The evening before I noticed an e-mail from them, saying they didn't have the flowers to fulfill the order and would like to send a plant instead.
I spent hours on the phone with local florists at closing time trying to find someone who could make a floral spray. It was too late.
It was embarrassing for our family not to send what we ordered and hoped to send.
It felt like a classic bait and switch.

Unfortunately, if there is an issue with the order selected, the local florist can advise the customer that they can send a substitute arrangement, or you can cancel your order. This is not a "classic bait and switch". Furthermore, you placed your order at the last minute. You placed your order on June 20th at 3:42p.m. For delivery by 9:00a.m. On June 21st. Local florists have their hours of operation just like other businesses. This local florist basically had about 3 hours to prepare and deliver the order since they would have to deliver your order on June 20th because they are not open early enough to deliver the order the morning of the 21st. Just as you said, you spent hours on the phone with local florists, but it was too late for a spray. Sprays take more time than an other type of arrangement, and since you placed your order late, there wasn't much time to fulfill it.
Timely delivery, appropriately arranged, and became a conversation piece in the event.
Peace Lily Plant we ordered never arrived & Candle was not lit. We would never had known had we not checked with a family member who was to have taken the plant after the service. We did receive a full refund after contacting the Mortuary, the local Flower Shop & echovita. Very disappointing that the Family did not receive the Memorial.

I ordered flowers for a visitation/funeral. They didn't show up for the visitation and they said they weren't delivered yet. A few minutes later I got an email saying they were delivered the day before (they were not at the funeral home). They just kept saying they'd check into it and a few minutes later saying they were delivered. I did get a refund but it was very disheartening to not have them delivered.
It was easy to order flowers for my cousins funeral. I would have liked to know when they were delivered. This is my only concern, all else went well.

Not being in the same town as the funeral home, this was a very convenient way to order flowers. Unlike FTD, one gets what one ordered.
The large spray of flowers I ordered and paid $272 for my cousin's funeral were nice. They were delivered on time and the sympathy note I wrote was included with the flowers. However, OUR FAMILY NAME was omitted! So my relatives had no idea that we had thoughtfully sent an expensive floral arrangement to honor my beloved cousin. Embarrassing and infuriating. So much for quality control. Who doesn't check these important details? I will never use this company again.

Please provide us with either your order number or your email address. We'd like to check and see if you included your family name in the message or card signature when you placed your order. If you didn't include it in your card message or on the card signature, then your family name wouldn't be included. However, if you did include it, and it was omitted, then it is the fault of the local florist who omitted it, not Echovita. Echovita is an obituary website, not a florist. We receive the order, send it to Blooms Today for processing and they assign it to a local florist. Thank you.

Flowers were not even at the funeral home. Don't even know where they were or what the arrangement looked like. Cost was $150.

Although the arrangement eventually delivered was lovely, it was a frustrating experience. First order was cancelled without explanation and then the next attempt indicated that it would be delivered the next day which was way too early - I was unable to change that so I discontinued the order. My third attempt just a few days before the service was successful.
Great job only had a day to make the arrangements the flowers were delivered right on time and gorgeous, the family was appreciative. Thank you again

Answer: Candles, messages, and memories left on Echovita only appear on the obituary page you left it on Echovita. They do not simultaneously appear on the funeral home's website. No where on Echovita does it say candles, messages, or memories left on our website appear on the funeral home's website. You'd have to visit the funeral home's website yourself and leave whatever you'd like there. Thank you. In the future, you may contact us directly via our contact us section.
Answer: The eternity candle you purchased is a virtual candle that remains lit on the obituary page on our website. The family is not directly notified, but your message and candle are posted publicly on the obituary page, so anyone who visits the page will be able to see it.

How would it be possible to be informed that your order couldn't be fulfilled before completing your order? That is literally impossible. We understand the circumstances are unfortunate, but giving a 1-star review for not being informed your order couldn't be fulfilled before completing your order is very unreasonable, since it's not possible. It's not a restaurant where you sit down, in person, and order something, then are immediately told they don't have it. Echovita is an obituary website. Flower orders are processed by Blooms Today. They receive the order and assign it to a local florist within the area of delivery, if the local florist cannot fulfill the order and no other local florist in the area is available, the order is cancelled.
