What you should know about ebay Guarantee Policy.

1. If and when you raise a claim to exchange or refund, ebay has the right to decide whether to accept the claim or not. This is unlike flipkart, amazon or snapdeal.

2. eBay often decides without contacting the customer, which means you will not even be asked as to what your woe is.

3. eBay can take upto 2 months before they even decide to look into your claim.

4. Finally, 'eBay Guarantee Claim does not entertain quality issues'.

To give examples,
1. I purchased a cover for iphone 6+ but the cover was of very bad quality and i wanted to return it so i raised a claim. EBay did not even talk to me and without any discussion rejected the claim.

Today, i opened up a chat session to enquire and they told me that ebay rejected as per the quality issue. On asking for further explanation, no further reply was given.

2. I purchased a samsung galaxy s6 edge in september. It was heating up so i opened a claim so that it could be replaced. EBay called in mid November asking what the issue was and i told them why were they calling after 2 months. They said since it has been 2 months they cannot replace the phone. So as per their convenience they twisted the rules to automatically cancel the claim.

So before you purchase on ebay, be sure you read this about ebay's guarantee policy. It is very difficult, shallow and very poor. There is a high chance that claim will not be entertained.

Choose flipkart or amazon. Very easy to return products there.

I've purchase product through eBay.in received in Broken condition. Then I've tried contact seller, receive no response. Then raise claim with broken product images no response for 3 days. Then again ebay ask me for images which I've already uploaded. 4 times I've talked with eBay Support in 10 days and every time I receive response that I get update with 24/48 hours but no updates. Also, eBay claim system is not working properly whatever details I submitted won't display on claim page.

If you are buyer then please think many times before choosing eBay there are many other option available in market.

EBAY.IN is such a hopeless e-commerce company.

Deliver broken products. Shipping is poor quality and super late.

Products are delivered broken / damaged.

Refund takes longer than 3 weeks.

Reverse logistics is limited. Have to incur 50% of product cost towards cost to ship the product back to the seller.

Refund towards shipping costs takes take three / four weeks after refund in almost a month.

Customer / Claims departments are arrogant - paper pushers with no understanding of process, procedures. Zero commitment to customers. Just fake promises / artificial timelines. They are absolutely useless.

Why is EBAY still around I wonder?!?!?!

Long time back i placed order and was awesome then hardly use ebay. But 2-3 months back i placed an order with Ebay product received in damage condition, they told me no need to replace will give you refund. Refund received and then again i placed order for another product again was useless as never worked what it was mentioned on site, i received coupon against that and again when i placed order using coupon then i received a power bank which never charge mobile more than 10 minutes. EBAY INDIA SPOILS EBAY REPUTATION AROUND THE WORLD FOR HARASSING A HANDICAPPED /PARALYSED PERSON BY REJECTING A GENUINE EBAY GUARANTEE CLAIM

INCIDENT-1: Amit Khurana (a consumer) purchased mobile INTEX AQUA PRO 3G FOR Intex Aqua 3G Pro for

COST: Rs. 3,575.00 paid ON 26/08/2015 through mobiwik. (Paisa Pay ID *******0078)

INCIDENT 2: MOBIEL RECEIVED ON 29th August 2015 and same day the eBay guarantee claim was opened as the brand new mobile was found defective and not working properly.

Incident 3: eBay declined the claim saying that product is under warranty from manufacturer (intex) and consumer should follow up directly with manufacturer.

Incident 4: AMIT KHURANA (CONSUEMR) CALLS EBAY AND reports that he is not well and handicapped and paralyzed since last 3 years and cannot follow up with manufacturer and go to service station.

Incident 5) eBay customer acre refuses any help.

EBay ahs cheated customer named amit khurana in this case by sending him a defective INTEX pro mobile, and also not respecting his refund request despite his request that he is handicapped and is not in a state to follow up with manufacturer.

Under eBay guarantee, eBay should collect back the mobile and refund the money to customer who needs help and is handicapped.

ON HUMAN GROUND AS eBay is not supporting this concern; eBay should be punished and penalized for this action heavily under law from GOVT OF INDIA TO set an example for
- Penalizing eBay for cheating with customer
- Penalizing eBay for harassing handicapped/paralyzed person.

Ebay is worst ever online website in India I know. Jabong Flipkart are the best and I strongly recommend them. I would like you all to know my pain and request you all not to fall in their net. I have purchased a product and didn't find the product as per description and of very poor quality. I raised my complaint to their Customer support. They denied without proper reasons and asked to contact the seller. Why should I contact seller when I have not purchased from th seller. No one should purchase anything from them as they don't guarantee to return the product if you don't like or find as per description. They write ebay guarantee and made some broad terms & conditions but interprets as per their will only. Customer support is very poor. Takes too much time. No proper escalation mechanism. They even don't give service request no. If don't agree. So you can't escalate (provison for which is there at their site) as for that you need a SR no. Which they will not provide if they don't agree.
Rather they are just a website, they don't have warehouse or any products. They are just mediators. Their Customer support clearly says that they are only to meet buyer and seller. So want you all to be beware of Ebay and and feel happy with other online traders.

I buy a HTC mobile but received dead mobile from eBay, after one month not received any refund.

I ordered a HTC mobile of Rs. 9064/- from ebay.in on dated 18-10-2014. But I received the same dead mobile phone after than I make a complaint to customer care next day. They say that your money is safe and refund the full amount after you return the product, So I was return the same on 1-11-2014 and our claim closed and I received a sms and e-mail that your DD is under process and you got the same within next 15 days. But today 06-12-2014 after more than one month I not get any money or DD from ebay.in. We are getting very-very bad experience from eBay online sales. Please help us for giving money back from eBay.
