E-bay is an excellent website to purchase from. Just make sure you do your research on the seller before you purchase from them. If somebody tries to make you purchase an item through a PayPal "Friends and Family" transaction... do not. And I mean DO NOT do it. They will take your money and send you a bogus product (if any product gets sent at all) and will not refund you the money. These scammers are all over ebay, so beware. PayPal and Ebay will not be able to refund you that money if this happens. Just a piece of advice. Otherwise, I have used this site over a dozen times and have been very happy with my purchases.

I am an Ebayholic! Only because I am a cheapskate!
Let me start by saying I don't buy high end items on this site, usually things that cost under $100cdn.
It is a great place to get cheap items but you MUST do your homework first!
Number one thing is ALWAYS look at the feedback that people have given the seller and the seller percentage rating is a big clue to know if you should move to a next seller or not!
I would avoid seller that have feedback score under 98.5%
I have bought items that I won for a price that was to good to be true and when I did receive the item, the saying stood true: Cheap is good, good ain't cheap!
On the other hand though, I have gotten items that I was extremely happy with that did save me 50% plus compared to retail price.
A lot of products come from China & Hong Kong, therefore there are times that you could be waiting for a good whole month before you get your item(s).
Never had a problem with EBay but please remember what I said in the beginning, I usually buy cheap stuff under $100cdn.
There has been incidents were I would not receive the item from the merchant and with good communication btw the seller and I, I would either get the item recent(the cheaper items under $10) or a full refund.
Extremely odd times when even after the seller refunds me, my item would mysteriously appear like a month later(must of got lost within the postal service). BONUS!
Once again, to have a good experience with EBay, Do your homework, research the item and seller. Always read the description of the item you would be purchasing and not just the title of it!
Happy Bidding!

Terrible experience! Sold three items on eBay for a supposed net profit of $405 my Ebay fees were $40.50. Serious problems developed however as soon as one of my buyers harassed me with 4 email requests for a full refund. Though they initially said they liked the product and were happy, suddenly they changed their mind, thought it wasn't an "authentic" Canada Goose Jacket and also claimed it didn't fit them. I kept refusing a refund since I stated no refund in the original listing, but Ebay granted them one anyways automatically and with my supposed "consent" which I never gave at all. Now they get to keep the item PLUS my money as well I am out of pocket for the shipping fees. If they had returned it I would have also been charged return shipping fees.

I tried to phone Ebay many times but only got an automated voice that gave me only the amount of information I already had.

Tried to report the buyer, to warn other sellers against them but I wasn't allowed to since it had been more than 7 days since the selling of my item.

Now they get the jacket plus their money back and I still have to pay Ebay $40.50 for the pleasure of it all.

I've never hated a company so much or been so horrified from this one Ebay experience.

Will boycott forever and never ever ever use this horrible terrible auction site again.

TOTAL ripoff!

I got the distinct impression this buyer fanglinhaoku has done this to many other sellers. They harassed me and basically stole my jacket in my opinion, and Ebay supported the whole thing.

COMLPETE SCAM DO NOT BUY OR SELL WITH EBAY!

I "purchased" an item from wyq******* but never received it. I waited several montys as it was shipping from China and gave the seller a 2nd opportunity to resend the item. Finally I contacted the seller to request a refund, only to be told that the seller "could not find my order". So no product, no refubd, and no help from ebay's so-called "customer service". If this seller has frauded me, I guarantee they have frauded others, and ebay is shamelessly allowing this. I will NEVER purchase from ebay again.

Fake Seller
June 16, 2015

Currently eBay involved with some seller those who are doing business unethically. The eBay supports that kind of seller directly and involved with unacceptable business and not having any good corporate governance and control over a seller. Whatsoever seller gives advertisement without checking eBay published its own website.
I bought "Orange Jasmine Bonsai Tree - 1 Live Plant (Send in special packaging)" on June 1,2015. The description of items was written as follows:

• Live plant
• Amazing tree
• Special tree
• The tree includes aluminum wire for getting a first design!
• Special tree for bonsai growers
• Plant Age - 1 year!
• Condition of the plant - Perfect
• Plant will be shipped with pot and soil.
• User guide will be added for delivery
• We send regular mail only!

Most of the descriptions are fake and cheating with customers. Today when I received the item I am surprised to see that it comes with an envelope and inside the envelope there is a 6" plastic bottle. And inside the bottle there is a 2" plant with 5 leaves and approximately age is 1/2 months.
Not only that, seller does not accept any return. I have nothing to say and only I will try to avoid eBay and will go another online seller.

"Ebay nor Paypal will do anything to help the buyers and without us they could not stay in business! Seller sent me a package with nothing in it so it would show up as I received it when it was scanned. I contacted Ebay and Paypal so the seller sent me a piece of POOO not what I ordered. Then Paypal and Ebay did nothing about it! I reported it twice and they told me to just send it back and I was to pay for the shipping to CHINA! "

Scammer Name: Mead, ShenZhen, China
EBay Name(ID): "3dayandnight"
Email: *******@members.ebay.com.hk

This is a LIAR SCAMMER seller in eBay selling JUNK to SCAM buyers for quick money.

When I received the junk faucet, it totally different from my request so it cannot be used in my country. I've clearly sent message when placing my order, saying "if seller cannot supply the specification, do not take my order". Seller still just sent out something totally not I ordered. I complaint to this seller (I should complaint to eBay immediately). This SHAMELESS SELLER pretended to send me replacement parts to fix the problem. But he just lie to me to buy time; as soon as it passed eBay's resolution period, this LIAR SCAMMER "3dayandnight" totally ignored all my email; and of course I never receive any replacement parts. Now I just got a piece of junk on hand.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAMMER SELLER "3dayandnight". He ships JUNKS to SCAMMER BUYERS for quick money. His dirty way is to pending on the case until it passed eBay's resolution period, then he will ignore you totally and pocket you money.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LIAR SCAMMER "3dayandnight".

Has your local post office reduced its hours or completely closed? Well, guess who is partially responsibly for that? Yep, ebay. As you know, eBay strongly encourages sellers to print USPS shipping labels directly from eBay or PayPal. Sure, USPS gets it money form these labels, but this gets reported as general postal income. Your local post office does not get credit for these shipping labels. So when it comes times to make a budget for your local post office its revenues are actual shorted by all the eBay and PayPal labels printed by residents of your local community. Thus, using eBay and PayPal labels helps close your local post office or shorten its hours. But eBay and PayPal are not done there, because eBay has also negotiated special shipping discounts with USPS so that its sellers can receive discounts on shipping that are cheaper than the rates you pay at the post office. This practice also reduces postal income and forces any revenue from mail not related to ebay to subsidize eBay and PayPal labels. The Post Office is acting if its needs eBay to survive when its the other way around. To make up the revenue lost by such transactions USPS has now started a new program to allow people from Hong Kong (China) to ship small 1st class items to the U.S. for practically nothing. USPS gets a small cut of each of these packages so it hopes to make up some of the money it gives away on the ebay label discounts and other misfortunes. Thus USPS is also helping to kill jobs in the U.S. by allowing Chinese firms to ship items into the country via ultra cheap shipping rates. EBay has also forbidden the mention of money orders in listings, which was another cash cow for USPS. Ebay also now offers by default an alternative shipping insurance, which competes with postal insurance and further helps to kill of postal income. EBay was publicly against major reforms to the post office designed to help save the service after it was hit by Congress (who is forcing it to fund the cost retirees for decades into the future).
