Absolutely ridiculous. Let's say they offer $15.00 for a 30 minute survey. You start the survey, answer most of the questions, then it alert you with a message saying the survey is full or that your device isn't compatible and only give you 25 cents. Not only that, but the rewards are ridiculous as well. Say you have $30 in rewards so you go to redeem it for a $30 gift card. Nope. $30 in rewards might get you a $10 gift card, but they charge you the full $30. The whole thing is a rip off. They're scamming people out of their time and information. Bunch of lying no good crooks!
Been a member of e-rewards site for several years and currently have Diamond status.
No longer provided survey's on the e-rewards site, I contacted customer support and was informed my account was suspended.
Being 100% compliant with e-rewards 'Terms & Conditions', I asked for details and all I got was another boilerplate response.
By the other complaints I'm reading, it appears e-rewards is removing accounts that they deem are no longer profitable (aka. Folks actually using their points)
You will not qualify for 99% of the surveys, but when you do and complete a survey, 90% of the time and when you do complete a survey it will say "Thank you for your interest in this study. Unfortunately, your responses do not meet the criteria required to fully qualify and complete this study. Your e-Rewards account has been credited the partial credit amount." This is BS. Don't waste your time!
After reading many of the recent reviews, I see I'm not the only one this happened to. I've been a member over 10 years, a Diamond member, and I was just accused of being dishonest and having more than one account—neither of which is true. They stopped sending me surveys about two months ago when I tried to cash out, but having difficulty because the only number I have is my cell number which happens to be a VOIP number. Other survey sites bypassed that requirement for me, but not them. So emails were going back and forth all this time and getting nowhere to help me cash out. Obviously they had no intention of allowing me to do so. Then I noticed I wasn't getting invited to any surveys from their sister site Valued Opinions and emailed them. John answered and said he'd look into it. The next day he emails me about e-Rewards and suspends me for no good reason. Now I suspect the same thing will happen with the sister site since I was close to cashing out. Stay away from both these sites. They used to be good and paid you. No more!
E-rewards was taken over by Dynata (Research Now Group LLC), 5800 Tennyson Pkwy, Suite 600, Plano, Tx *******-3992. I just filed a complaint with BBB.org and suggest all of you reading this do the same. The more complaints, the better. And we might get our money back!
I have problems with at least one in 4 surveys. Has to be very poor QC. Times stated differently on 2 screens, surveys kick you out after more than 80% complete, MANY software issues of locking up. 3 stars may be too high but the description for 2 stars was too bad. It does serve a purpose but is very frustrating.
Stay Away! After being a loyal member for years, they revoked my account without explaining exactly why it was revoked. I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and all they came back with was that my points will be restored, but they were NEVER. They essentially stole over $135 from me which I spent hours completing surveys. They could carry less about customer service at all. TERRIBLE!
I have been a member of e-rewards for over 3 years, and have redeemed a fair amount of air miles in exchange for the surveys. I recently moved and got a higher job, so started to answer surveys with the new job title and area. I have always answered the surveys honesty and spent considerable time on the surveys. I had around £50 of points in my account. Without warning I suddenly stopped receiving any surveys. I thought perhaps linked to the covid situation. A few weeks later I tried to redeem some of my points for air miles, and received an error code. Upon emailing support I received a generic cut and paste email (same as others have posted here and on other forums) saying my account has been suspended indefinitely due to "accuracy and attentiveness". They refused to provide any further information or evidence for their decision. Just like that I had lost the £50 I had been building up to pay for a holiday. I would not recommend using this company as you are at risk of them refusing to pay your rewards without reason. I know I was not at fault as I still have the individual survey creators emailing me directly for follow ups. In the recent year it has been difficult to qualify for surveys after considerable time providing data, in essence for free. Avoid.
I HAD been doing surveys for several years with E rewards. Their surveys have a lot of issues including very low reimbursement, stopping mid survey, and stating you don't qualify after about 20 min in. I tolerated it because it was still easy money when I'm commuting. Well, in May this year, it seems many of us faithful survey takers have been kicked off the panel and all given the same response accusing us of basically lying and cheating. I have always answered honestly. On top of this, they deny you the money you have earned and shut down your account. Unbelievable! If you choose to participate in Erewards and manage to gain enough points to cash in, do it immediately or you may get kicked out with no money for your troubles. I only lost about $50 but others have lost $800 +.
Very bad. This company is known for defrauding people out of their rewards. It's a complete waste of time. You will not get your subscriptions, either. Please save yourself the frustration and disappointment! The support people are the worst, not helpful in the slightest. When I asked why they deleted my account with $52 in rewards, the rep "Mariel" literally said "I don't know and I don't care."
I often open messages from e-rewards soon after receipt but, after clicking the offer, I get questions for a new survey. This often goes into a loop. I've not been able to do a survey in at least two months. And "yes," I cleared cookies. This looks like fraud to me.
Truly E-Rewards is a big scam. They claim they give you "rewards" for surveys but so often just collect all of your data without giving anything in return.
The way they scam you is, as follows:
1. You are contacted about a survey for - lets say a $10 reward
2. You click on it and it says it will take "approximately 15 minutes"
3. You start the survey and answer a TON of questions, that take about 10-15 minutes to complete
4. Suddenly you get a notification "Sorry, your survey has already received the required amount of participants!"
Classic ploy.
Another thing is that suddenly they now REQUIRE you to give them your cell phone # in order to redeem a reward. They claim it is for "your security," yet somehow can't even come close to making this argument (of course they don't even try because they know they are FOS). I have literally contacted them at least 20 times and never ONCE have they explained the "security" issue. I am not kidding. They just keep saying "it's for security" and "it's required" over and over again. I doubt any human being exists in their "customer service" department. At least I hope that's the case - otherwise they are brain dead.
I've never dealt with a more reprehensible or dishonest company in my life. Do yourself a favor and AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!
After years if taking surveys, I finally had 43 dollars built up so I decided to redeem for an Amazon gift card. To start with I had only one option, a 10 dollar e-card. Then they charged 25 dollars, points or whatever for the 10 dollar e-card! This brought my balance down to 8.25. Not redeemable for anything, you have to have at least 12 dollars. What do they do, charge you 8 to get 2? Don't mess with this site, it is a rip off!
After being a member for about 15 years, my account was suddenly deactivated. The explanation was I violated their terms. I have no idea what it is that I did. I e-mailed several times for an explanation, but, all I got was a "form" response. No details.
Thankfully, I had cashed out my points a couple of months before this, so my loss was not very much. This is not a good site anymore, beware!
I was out of town and I have this e-mail from you dated 8/17/2019 congratulating me on my $30.00 Reward(which I forgot about). It says to contact Member Services. It's for a $10 Macy E-gift card. Is it possible to get it now?

After several years of using e-Rewards, getting a fair number of rewards, I had 900 points in my account, suddenly was terminated with no recourse, discussion. I attempt to answer questions in the survey completely and accurately, somehow they decided to simple close the account. I would advise people to stay away from the site, potentially loose lots of points as I did!
2 months and counting-qualified for 2000 miles ($100) award on site. Did not appear even after 6 week waiting period. Contacted customer service, told "working on it"; now 2 months no credit. Not only the 2000 miles, also IMMENSE wasted time. RIPOFF!
As some other reviewers mentioned, they deactivated my account all of sudden. I have been taking their surveys actively for many years honestly and attentively.
I contacted them but they refused to listen to my claim.
If you have an account with them, I strongly recommend that you redeem them now and close your account. Otherwise, you will lose your points and the time you spent.
E-rewards should be called stealingyourtime.com
Often you spend much time doing a survey, only at the end they say you don't qualify, so no points for your time.
You do a survey and at the end there is a network error, or error with survey, again you get no points.
Now they give you nothing for attempting a survey, even if you have gone almost all the way through it!
You do surveys that state you will get so many points, yet you see that they gave you less than promised.
I was invited to a survey which was a follow-up survey, and I should have been awarded 2000 points. I received several reminders before, logged in in time... yet 20 minutes later, I am told they have received enough people for the survey... how is wasting this amount of my time fair? I had to make sure I was home, logged in in time, make sure I could give the survey enough time etc. no respect.
I think if a company didn't pay you for your time at work they would be in court! How can you steal people's time, and give them nothing?
E-rewards used to be quite good, some surveys didn't work, but you got paid for your time, at least for the most part. Now they are abusing us, and treat us like slaves!
Companies like this should be fined for unfair practise, I wonder what psychopathic narcissist has come up with the new way to rip people off like this? I hope that person gets ill or has something very unfair happen to them, what a piece of scum!
I feel they come into your home like a shark selling crap, and take from you, no better than a common thief.
I joined this site in hope of making some extra cash.As it turns out after racking up over $20 in rewards they decided my account was inactive. After I re verified my account I heard nothing, so all the rewards are now down the drain. I wonder how many other people they did this to.The ought to be ashamed of their selves!
I have taken several surveys for e-rewards for which I did not receive credit. I would never have known that I did not receive credit for all of these numerous surveys had I not been checking my account information after each survey. Then, when I do not get credit, it takes them weeks to get back to me. I just participated in a one hour panel worth $60.00 and did not receive any credit yet after one month. I really wonder how many people they are ripping off and they don't even know it. Very sad. Someone should report them for fraudulent practices.
I have been involved with e Rewards for many years. Answer questions make some money. Trade your earnings for magazines or gift cards. Yippee
