Placed an order on 26 November, and today is 8 December — the order has still not been shipped. I tried contacting customer service three times (twice through the website and once by email), but I never received any response.
There were no updates, no tracking, and no explanation for the delay.
Due to the complete lack of communication, I had no choice but to request a refund and take further steps through my bank.
This has been one of the least reliable customer service experiences I have had. I cannot recommend this shop based on what I experienced.

Vorig jaar feeststollen ontvangen die niet houdbaar waren tot de kerst. Toen ik in november een bestelling deed, heb ik gevraagd of ze er op wilden letten ze niet te vroeg te sturen. Vervolgens voor FedEx gekozen voor levering, aangezien zij super snel zijn. Wel meer voor de verzendkosten betaald. Op 21 november krijg ik een email dat de stollen maar tot 13 december houdbaar zijn en of ik wil wachten tot de nieuwe feeststollen binnen komen. Graag wachten, want ik heb nog genoeg tijd. Afgelopen donderdag mijn bestelling ontvangen en wat schetst mijn verbazing. Drie feeststollen met houdbaarheidsdatum 13 december. Krijg ik een email van ene Heleen dat ze het uitgezocht heeft wat er fout gegaan is. Er zat in mijn bestelling ook iets wat met Sinterklaas te maken heeft, dus vandaar dat alles opgestuurd is. Ook zei ze dat de feeststollen die ze op voorraad hebben, nog steeds tot de 13e december houdbaar zijn. Heb ik op gereageerd en nooit meer wat gehoord. Wat een schandalige behandeling van je klanten en wat een slap excuse. Mensen kijk uit als je besteld, want ze hebben product en die nog geen week meer houdbaar zijn en je klacht wordt ook nogeens genegeerd.
Was not informed before shipment that 1/3rd of order would not be included. They claimed that the product was unavailable, but I just checked with the Albert Heyn in Harderwijk, the town of their location, and the product has been on the shelves all the time. Shipping costs included these items, a total waste of monmey!
There was a problem, but they fixed it to my liking (it took a little while for them to answer tho, but at least the situation is resolved)
I made an order (lots of money) and was told it will arrive 30 June. It was delayed and I understand it takes time to ship. But it's now august and they are not replying to my emails or anything. I just want my money back. They don't want to reply. My order hasn't come since over a month it's terrible don't order from here

I am so disappointed with this company. I used to order from them about 3-4 years ago without any issues. I recently started ordering baby formula again and the last two times, their customer service is unresponsive. This previous order I made, it's been over a week and I still haven't received the DHL tracking number even though they said they shipped it out. I've emailed them twice already and still have not received anything. I'm starting to believe all these bad reviews and very disappointed. This will be my last time ordering. It's not worth the headache.
There's a 3 day guarantee of delivery. After ten days still no delivery and the response to a polite inquiry was abusive. Avoid at all cost!
I recently placed a sizeable order with this online shop. On reviewing the sent items, I noted the order was 1 item short. Having requested 'No substitutions if unavailable ', they gave me I larger cheese, slightly older in age, when I needed two younger cheeses - one for my cheeseboard and the other for a gift. No explanation of why my instructions were not followed, no explanation in the delivery that a substitution had been made and most importantly NO apology. Customer service is very poor when you are sent an email stating "We did this with the best intenstions (cheese is cheese and you will not see or taste it if its young or matured, believe me)". Something must be wrong with the cheese they sell, if young or old cheese is all the same or the individual sending the email had non-discerning taste buds. The response is pathetic. The website talks about outstanding customer services and feel free to ask any question. If you do, be prepared for no answers and rude emails. Very sad that they do not have good customer service as the rest of the order was great and complete.
I ordered candies for my pregnant wife for more than 300€. Not only I never got them and the woman called Sophie is simply delaying every time my order but they just discover that they ended up blocking my account on their website. We do not have the resources to hire a lawyer but we decided to write them all social medias so that everyone can avoid them. Please readers help us get our money back from them and make everybody know how liars and crocs they are
Ben zoals altijd weer reuze blij met m'n inkopen. Redelijke prijs, snel en altijd op tijd geleverd en veel keus. Wat meer valt er te zeggen... SUPER!
Very bad. The prices were very high. Had to pay taxes. Paid more than the price of the item itself for only 10 pcs cheek slices when I thought I ordered 2 boxes. Have booked once and was very happy but not this time. Tried to chat with customer service, it was so to speak garbage service, did not help me at all and did not believe me and ended the call and just walked. Never shop from here again
Ik ben heel blij met ontdekken van Dutch Expat Shop. Dingen die ik mis na 22 jaar verblijven in Nederland, kan ik hier krijgen. Super service

It is very easy to order from the Dutch expat shop. Most items that I miss from the Netherlands can be found here. Even shopping from familiar shops, i. E. Albert Heijn, Jumbo etc. Delivery price is reasonable and all items are very well wrapped. Very fast delivery.
I had a terrible experience ordering baby formula (HiPP Dutch Organic) and would recommend using another site to order from.
• I paid a DHL Priority courier fee but they shipped it using regular snail mail
• No tracking number provided until I requested it several times
• When I asked why it wasn't shipped via DHL Priority I did not receive a response immediately; a few emails later they said DHL refused the package so they shipped it with a local carrier
• Package arrived nearly 2 weeks after I placed the order
• 5 out of 8 cans were significantly dented
• The box was intact which means whoever packed it intentionally put dented cans in
The owner Mark Nooijen has extremely shady business practices and even worse customer service. Upon informing him of the issue, advising him I did not feel comfortable feeding my infant from damaged cans, sending photos and requesting a return label, his recommendation was to have me forcibly manipulate the cans to remove all the dents. I sent him a screenshot from his own website stating "any damaged goods would be refunded upon receipt of photos". He refused to provide a refund or a return label and said I should pay to return this international package despite him being responsible for packing damaged goods.
I filed a dispute with my credit card company and based on reviews I read online, it looks like this is standard practice by Mark. The bank credited my refund in full despite Mark Nooijen trying to keep the payment by lying to the bank about what happened.
I also contacted HiPP Netherlands & showed them a photo of a can they sent. Per the attached letter, they responded saying the cans being sold by Dutch Expat were NOT authorized to be sold on the dutch market! The correct article number above bar code should start with NL and theirs started with BE.
On a positive note I had an excellent experience ordering from Formuland - direct shipping from Germany via courier, quick response, fast shipping & in original boxes too. Not a single dent in multiple shipments.
AVOID this fraudulent company - especially for baby food! Mark Nooijen is asking for a lawsuit.
Everything was amazing from the shipping speed to everything I ordered.
Will be coming back for more.
