Paid way too much for the briefs ($30+ per pair) and no recourse through Duluth Trading. Can't wear them, so have to throw out. Not happy. Since they do not stand behind their products, we will not be buying ANYTHING there again.
Ive been buying shoes at deluth since they opened in rhode island, every pair i buy lasts less time. Im done and wont be back.
Duluth Trading is dead to me...
I ordered 2 Coolmax shirts from Duluth Trading Company. It took 2 weeks for one shirt to arrive. I heard nothing about the status of the 2nd shirt; nothing. I then emailed Duluth and told them my second shirt has not arrived yet and wanted to know when to expect it. This is what they wrote back:
Thank you for your recent email.
We apologize that sometimes products sell better than we expect them to, and sometimes we end up short. We always hustle to get them back in stock as soon as we can. Unfortunately, there are also times when we are unable to re-stock some of our products, including clearance items Men's COOLMAX Wrinklefighter Short Sleeve Shirt.
Be assured you were not charged for the shirt nor charged shipping.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Sincerely,
Kay K.
Customer Service
To sum up, Duluth Trading must have a very poor distribution system if a customer orders a product, indicates its in stock and then never ship it or notifies you. I run a small e-commerce site and my inventory levels are automatically updated when a customer places an order, that product earmarked and fulfilled for that customer... period. Whats more is the email response is lackadaisical, lacking empathy. Also their email doesn't indicate in my particular case whether the shirt I ordered is discontinued and canceled or whether its in perpetual backorder. No discounts were offered as to make-up for the mistake; nothing but hollow words to tick one off. Someone in management needs to be replaced. Duluth Trading is dead to me... and should be checked off your purchasing list.
I have purchased worn 20 pair of Buck naked underwear. The elastic waist band eventually failed in every pair. No guarantees after one year.
Avoid this.
Where is screws together, right where you rest your finger, it won't stay tight. So it flexes. Very annoying
Bought 3 pairs of Mens boxers for $30 each. After 18 months elastic waist stretched or shorts just about fell off. Called Customer Service and they said it's over the 12 month guarantee. BAD BUISNESS. NEVER AGAIN!,
Returns are expensive. Shipping is incredibly slow even if a large order. Stores can have a shirt for $70 that is on sale online for $31-$41. Refunds can take months. Another example of a great company until the founders sell out to some corporate behemoth. Quality and stitching is very very good. But they could massively improve customer relations. An order I made is still not here after 10 days. Free shipping, but when?
They charge 3 to 4 times others, and say they have a superior product. Lies! They Don't stand behind it
I generally like their products and have ordered from them for years. I recently ordered a pair of work pants for my son on June 24 and they were finally delivered July 8. He liked them and we decided to order another pair. When we did, they were on sale. I sent customer service a note to ask if they could credit the difference on my first order, and their response was 'No, the order date was too far from the sale date so sorry". No policy response, just personal decision I guess. My response was that I would return for the full price and buy at sale price. No further response from Duluth. As we enter a recession, this is how much they care about their customers. Go elsewhere as I will do. Their products aren't that good.
Been wearing their firehose work pants since they came out. Their slogan was we dare you to wear them out and I did! For awhile they replaced them like their like they said they would. Slowly it got harder and harder to have them stand behind their product like they said they would. This year I sent my pants in and they won't replace them nor will they return my pants to me. I'm done with this company and so is everyone else that I work with! Don't buy this over priced products!
Your no bull policy is all bull. They don't honor what it says. Initially I was impressed with how comfortable they were but after purchasing several pairs of pants for myself and husband I am extremely dissatisfied with the pants I purchased. Mine split near a seam and some of the stitching pulled apart. My husband's stitching is coming apart and a piece of Velcro pulled off. I went to one of their stores to exchange an was given BS about how they don't cover any wear. The manager was extremely ruded and unhelpful. I have had cheap $10 jeans last longer than their $80 women's relaxed fit firehose pants. Also contacted their customer service and got the same BS. Go buy Carharrt they last longer and cost less. Duluth has definitely lost my business.
You order an item... they ship the incorrect item. Because thev orrect size was out of stock. Then expect you to pay the non sale price to replace with alrernate color. So $14 they lost a customer and earned a poor review. Poor business practice.
I've been a Deluth fan for years. Years ago, I won a Duluth picture contest with two of my dogs dressed up in their outerwear.
About a year ago, I bought a pair of Duluth garden overalls. While I was wearing the Garden overalls I noticed the fabric on one of the legs had melted. WOW WOW! I figured I must have stood too close to our campfire. I wasn't burned, but the overalls were toast. However, since I liked the overalls, I replaced them with another pair. They arrived. I wore them. And the same thing happened. But this time, I was paying attention and never got closer than 5 feet to the campfire, which isn't even an open fire. I called Duluth Trading Company. I spoke to three different levels of customer service. And was told the following...#1 is a direct quote in writing.
1. These overalls are made of 96% Ripstop Nylon and 4% Spandex. This material is not flame resistant. Any nylon will melt when too close to a fire.
2. These are garden overalls. The customer service rep was not amused when I asked if I could smoke weed in the garden overalls without igniting into flames. Smoking in them is not recommended. BBQing is also not recommended--These overalls aren't made for fun just flames.
3. We can not share a corporate email (when I asked to email someone at their corporate office). Google was my friend, but Neala Shepherd, Vice President - Merchandising and Marketing, does not respond to emails or phone calls.
4. Please don't assume that it's our fault. Your leg was too close to the fire pit. Not once did anyone ask if I was burned.
5. No, this is not a safety issue if people don't stand close to a fire.
6. There no bull warranty was BS. They would not refund my money.
Deluth and I are breaking up before I go up in flames. DO NOT STAND BY ANY OPEN FLAME WHILE WEARING THESE OVERALLS.
Hey everyone. My husband bought me a whole bunch of Duluth trading company clothing and I absolutely loved it. He bought me a beautiful orange and navy blue colored flannel shirt back in September of last year and I loved it. I only got to wear it three times and when I pulled it out of the washing machine, the back was ripped. This shirt had a special design where it opened in the back to give you extra moving room. The stitching from that split did not rip. It was the actual fabric of the flannel shirt that ripped. I'm so surprised because this feels like very thick quality flannel. I called their customer service and ask them to please just send me another shirt because I love the color and I love this fabric and she said they no longer carry it because it's flannel and it was in the fall. I'm so disappointed that it did not last longer. I could see if I wore it 50 or 60 times and then it tore, I would feel like I got my money worth. But I only wore it three times. I'm disappointed and I know it's a first world problem but I just thought I would leave a review in case somebody else had the same problem. They were willing to give me a refund or an exchange, I'm not sure which but because they don't carry this shirt any longer, I would have to get a refund. So I am forced to have to try to sew this shirt and hide the rip. I'm just disappointed because I believe this shirt was around $70 and it should have lasted longer than wearing three times and washing once. So I will be fixing it myself because I love the color.
Not sure what all the fuss is about. I've been purchasing online from Duluth for several years. The items all of good quality. The prices are excellent. If I have a concern it's delivery. Mostly by snail mail. Maybe they should consider offering an express, next day delivery option. In closing, remember negative complaints are like squeaky wheel. They always get the grease. You never hear from happy customers.
My son made an inseam error when he ordered a pair of overalls just a few minutes ago. We called Duluth and asked for them to correct the order and they said sorry, they couldn't. Said we would have to exchange them once they're received by mail. One little error and they can't go in electronically and fix it. But, that's only one current issue as there have been many ever since I've had my account with them and now this. Also, many reviews on the quality of their materials is cheaper than ever and believe me, people won't write reviews about that unless it's true. I think after we settle this inseam issue, we're done with Duluth. They've gotten a lot of money out of us meaning collectively from my entire family. Yep, we're soon going to be done with them.
I don't know what everyone's problem is but my family loves their products. I bought 2 pair of Flex Fire Hose pants for my son who drives for a living and he absolutely loves them. He and I both think these pants are very comfortable. They do shrink a little so keep that in mind. I like my Levi's, Wranglers, etc. but these pants are so much more comfortable and look good. Sorry I do not have my proof of purchase but I and my family are true customers. Denton TX store!
I placed a large order on their website and a day later received an email that I needed to confirm my billing address. That email, however, went to my spam folder and I didn't see it until after I called customer service a week later asking about shipping confirmation. They would have canceled my order that day without having tried to call or send email reminders. By the time all this was sorted, items on my order were on backorder for 4 months, maybe longer. I canceled the backordered item... and hope their clothing is actually crap so I don't feel so bad about losing out all because their billing dept didn't reach out
DTC stopped honoring vets when they ceased the military discount. They promote themselves as patriotic but fall to walk the talk. Corporate greed.
Saw a lot of negative reviews and understand usually companies almost always have bad reviews or no reviews. I buy all of my work clothes, underwear, belts and more recently footwear from Duluth Traders. The Keen line of shoes they carry is 2nd to none. I'm now transitioning to their blue jeans for casual wear, look a little workish but have the tech pocket for the phone I'm so used to during the week!
Answer: It is a scam. They don't follow their own policies. Buy elsewhere.
Answer: They profess to have a NO BULL guarantee. That's it, no fine print. But there is fine print, well hidden on their site.
Answer: It was not difficult getting Customer Service. My return was denied twice by email, twice by phone and once by a supervisor. It was the 5th effort that finally got me through to a supervisor who gave me the credit.
Answer: My order has taken over SIX WEEKS AND STILL NOT DELIVERED. Most ALL PRODUCTS ARE MADE, STORED AND SHIPPED FROM CHINA. You always get what you pay for!
Answer: You should call them and explain. They should replace them. Last year, they would have replaced them. They are different now so I can't say what they will do. If they refuse, call back over and over again until you get a reasonable agent on the phone. Ask for a supervisor also, if needed.
