Many people that decide "oh I think I want to sell stuff online and create a business" get confused and don't know what paths to take. Doba in my experience has been wonderful! Of course you pay a membership duh! No business you want to create is free. If something is free it usually means it's either a rip off, scam, or doesn't have all the help and tools you'll need. If starting a business was free then I'm sure everyone would do it and live in la la land where everything is perfect. So people need to stop riding this silly free bus because it doesn't exist in business. Doba is nice because they have many tools and a ton of help. Whoever says they don't obviously hasn't taken the time of day, and aren't seriously trying o start a business online. I've done research on many drop shippers and by far Doba has the most advancement in guides, help, and tools. Oh and let's not forget the millions of different products. Many people fret because they just skim the surface and see some products selling less. Well guess what not everything in a business is as easy as it looks! You got to do product research and find the good suppliers Doba has many I know this from selling their stuff. Many peoe just go off price which is down right dumb and a rookies move. If price was all that mattered then wal mary would be the only grocery store out there and there would not be that many sellers on eBay let's be real. So time to wake up and ask yourself if you really know and do you have what it takes to sell online.
I checked Doba.com website for the internet business (drop shipping) and I saw your logo there (BBB). I signed to see what prices they offering for the wholesale. I signed and gave them my credit card. I checked a few items and understood that it is impossible to make money with what they offer. I wrote email right away in few hours stating that I would like to be cancel and DO NOT charge my credit card. I received email back, what is your retailer ID. I wrote back my ID they gave me. Then I received email on the subject it stated - YOU request has been solved.
I was happy with outcome, until I got my charges on my credit card - $59.95. I called and I was waiting 30 min on the phone and nobody replying, just music playing. I called second time and again music was played 30 min but I was determine to wait. The customer service was HORRIBLE. In very defensive tone right away he started to fight that they don't refund ny email and I should call to cancel. Then I spoke with the manager who also was very defensive and told me no way for refund. He offered me to Make money with them. Huh!?/ he said -No refund - we dont have email where you can send claim and we dont provide any info for the upper management. Wow! This company exist in US? Our time? It should be shut down! I wrote to BBB because they placed the lOGO of BB on their site. I took print screen of it too since they can tell they did not have any logo. You will never make any money with this company. I check 100 items before I requested to cancel and refund... They prices higher than any internet retailer. Stay away!
This company is a rip off and a scam. Product prices are way too high to make a profit, their vendor processing times are ridiculously long, and their customer service is horrible. I was supposed to receive an orientation phone call as part of my account subscription and never did. Then they charged me for a full subscription 1 day before my supposedly "free" trial was supposed to end. When I contacted them about the early charge, they refused to reverse it and the rep gave me a FAKE email address to get in touch with the management team. Don't waste your time and money with this company and their horrible business practices.
If I can rate with no star, thats what they deserve! 0 out of 5. Google "Doba Reviews" and you understand.
PLEASE people do NOT waste your money on this scam! My brother signed up for this when he was ill and out of work needing some income and they of course promised the world and did not deliver at all. I tried to take it over for him when he was no longer able to do anything with it because of his illness and I can promise you there is no money to be made with this company. There prices are sooo much higher than what you can buy them on ebay and amazon it is ridiculous. They try to tell you people don't always buy on price alone but I don't know too many people who log onto Amazon and just say hey let me buy the most expensive item. Even if you do sell something your margin is so slim you make next to nothing once fees are taken out. My brother wasted his money and I wasted money on ebay listing fees. There customer service also suck. I had an item that actually sold (big deal a baby teether) and it got stuck in the queue and a week later they still have done nothing about it. I had to refund the buyer the money and thankfully am only out $6.00 (I was going to make a whole 14 cent profit). Thankfully it was a cheap item since I had to eat the cost. All I did was waste time and money but my brother is the big loser in all of this as he purchased the program. Do your due diligence and you will see nothing but bad reviews on this company. Only good reviews are reviews from their website or a website that is paid to promote them. I would love to see just 1 person who can actually make any decent money on this. I highly doubt there is. I m going to post on as many sites as I can about this company and if it stops one person from buying into their scam it will be worth my time.
I must say that I am partly to blame for my unsatisfactory experience with this site. There are questions I should have asked in the beginning and if I had said no sooner I wouldn't have gone a month without my money.
I was looking for online "work at home" sites. I thought that's what I was getting. The very first time they asked for money I should have backed off.It was misleading and I fell for it. By the third time they asked for money I knew something was very wrong. Every click brought a new sales pitch and a different company trying to bill me. I started politely trying to back out and was told to re-read the "iron clad money back guarantee". Finally it was clear that I had to try it for a month before I could get my money back. I was billed by 4 different companies and had paid three. I had to buy a $27,00 e-book to explain the business to me. When I was finally able to actually get my refunds coming, I was told that the e-book could not be refunded since I'd already cancelled the company that had sold it. You see, I had cancelled the orders out of the proper sequence. My bank chose to back me on this after I explained but warned that they might take it back later if the company proved that I had downloaded the book
And so had possession of it. (I had not.) So we'll see how it goes. I let my need for work blind me to the trap. That's why they get two stars because I was foolish. The
Company being reviewed here helps the next three sites set-up and then keeps passing the newbie to the next co. Down the line.If I could have afforded to buy in deep enough maybe I would have been another mullet trap further down the line. My continuing search led me here. Hopefully, I will one day write a good review for TB and sitejabber. Since I have again been handed off to a site other than the one for which I just signed up. I will be watching closely.
My experience with Doba.com is that I seriously looked into Doba.com as a source for items to sell in my online store. I was looking to broaden my product line and was looking for a new wholesale source of products. After reviewing Doba's reviews from existing and former customers and their business model I concluded that the only entity making money with Doba was Doba. Their wholesale price points were not competitive enough to make an investment in their company worthwhile.
I was curious about the 7 day free trial was entering my information in when they asked for my credit card info., so I googled some reviews and realized it was probably not going to be a good idea. I closed the browser and didn't sign up. The next day, I get at least 3 calls from them with a voicemail telling me to sign up for their promotion of 14 days free. I hope they stop calling me because I read on another site, that they've been receiving calls from them almost every day... and it's not possible to block numbers unless you pay $4.99/month if you're with AT&T so I'd recommend against trying it, unless you like the thrill of waiting for their phone calls.
I dealt with them a good few years ago. I was stupid and let myself get duped. I signed up (I don't remember if I had a free membership for a week or something or if I paid a small fee) Some guy called me the following day and got my dumbass to fork over $200 or something for a year or two long membership or something. They claim to have items at a fair wholesale price to sell on ebay. After I got into the site and poked around, I saw that their prices were selling for the going price on ebay anyhow. I tried to get my money back to no avail. I just sucked it up and let it go knowing I got duped. If you're going to run a business find a niche of your own. A third party isn't going to make you self sufficient.
They may not necessarily be a scam site because you can get items from them and sell them on ebay, but it won't even be worth your while. You might make a dollar or something off the sale. Some of their stuff was even selling to you for higher than on ebay.
Oh and don't give bums money. Buy yourself a bottle of wine (or whatever it is you prefer to drink) =D
