What company doesn't have a customer service phone number to call and speak to a human to help resolve ongoing issues?! It doesn't matter how many times I try to explain that the "reply in email" feature is not working, and how many times can "support" reply that I can simply go on-line to approve comments. Step, repeat. Step, repeat. We just keep going around in circles.

A couple of times I have had posts that were removed. The first one was a conservative political viewpoint with no curse words, no name calling and it was removed. The second review was removed because I quoted a celebrity's opinion on women. Instead of using the B word which rhymes with itch that the celebrity used, I put 2 asterisks in the place of a couple of the letters in the B word. That got my comment removed. One of my "followers" turns out to be one of the Disqus moderators.

$#*! Off
November 6, 2017

I wrote my detailed view on a movie. Nothing conservative or controversial about it. Then it got deleted as spam. So i fixed what seems like the problem (layout, double space, paragraphs, etc), and it worked... for a few minutes. Then it got deleted as spam again. I'm so done with this thing.

Don't bother sharing any conservative view point even when posting on an article from a conservative site. It will be posted and shortly tagged spam. After you notify Disqus of the "mistake" they "work to correct" indefinitely. When they're called out for doing so they will blame the site's moderation however they're system is what is flagging the comment as spam and the site moderation is never aware it has taken place. This has become their MO whenever a comment can't be accused of violating any term of service while debunking progressive or liberal propaganda. Oops! Sorry thought it was spam it must be the site moderation not approving it. This doesn't stand up to scrutiny when the comment is posted, has already received feedback, and is then removed never to return. ALL CONSERVATIVES, LIBRITARIANS, AND POPULISTS CONTACT THOSE SITES YOU FREQUENT AND WISH TO COMMENT ON AND ANY ADVERTISER ON DISQUS TO DROP DISQUS!

Disqus needs to close
August 23, 2017

The Disqus staff needs to get professional help, or, not spew their crap for it. There are around 750 mean-spirited site moderators all across Disqus (including conservatives, alt-right, and conspiracy theorists) as they still refused to deal with users or site moderators who cyberbully, harass, threaten, defame, or slander people.

This site needs to be permanently shut down by the FBI and the Interpol for investigation, as the online defamation attorneys and law firms who represent the individuals will ask the individuals to seek legal action against Disqus as the commenting platform is going to lose a lot of customers as they will find alternatives to Disqus. Everybody has had enough of this crap as I hope the site will be permanently closed and have its staff and its product support team arrested/sentenced to six months in prison for corruption and failure to terminate any mean-spirited users/moderators.

Update 10/03/2018: I hope Zeta Global (the parent company) also faces legal action from the said online defamation attorneys and law firms.

Several years ago, I enjoyed debating on Disqus, but it gradually deteriorated when more and more whiney snowflakes (who couldn't stand to lose a debate and just wanted to jab at people) and liberals joined.
They started increasing moderators with political agendas vs monitoring for TOS violations/ cyberbullying. I often got flagged for a conservative idea, but the liberal cussing me out, did not.
Now they have created tons of little "safe spaces" developed by the users, for you to go in and talk about rainbows and unicorns, favorite cartoon characters, etc. with people who SHARE your views. That way no one gets their feelings hurt, because we know that the real world completely works that way... And so, our snowflake problem continues until we end up in a bloody blizzard!
They still have some news feeds, but nowhere near the amount that they started. It's a total joke and a waste of time. It's a social networking site for blogging nerds, who need to hear their ideas validated by others.
I like to "discuss" and intelligently debate ideas. Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong. I can handle adult conversation, but I don't like being censored for my ideas. So, I no longer waste my time.

Hypocrites
August 18, 2017

They run comment sites for companies such as ABC News and then when you call them out for censorship and banning anyone that disagrees, they fold up and claim that they are not responsible. I am a Moderate and was banned from ABC from stating a fact. Apparently with Disqus, anyone who disagrees can flag you and have you removed.
They got a lesson on free speech from me, but they are too dense and biased to understand it.

Nazi Moderator
August 12, 2017

This is a fatal flaw. My first post, deleted, by the moderator, and as the post is not visible after deletion, I'm not sure what the problem was! I was accused of making an insult--WTF? I was talking about a book list, for crying out loud, not Donald Trump! Clearly, other reviews here support my account. The Disqus business model can't collapse soon enough for my tastes...

The moderators from this site have gone out of their way to block all of my posts on every single one of the websites that they control the comments to. I have tried to use up to 5 different email addresses and contact names, yet, every single one of my posts have been rejected. If you have a point that you would like to make that supports the agenda of the current President, don't bother posting. I will be working overtime along with my fellow conservative publishers to have all conservative websites review their relationships with this regressive anti-American propagandist!

Would be nice to have a site like Disqus actually work for people to comment. Without being degraded, made fun of, or called names because somebody finds it amusing to make rude comments and not really ever contribute to the topic. Obviously we all know some of these kinds of people who now have a platform to shout out how great they are and how low you are. These people are why many sites are dropping comment altogether. Probably just as well. Disqus is not helping in maintaining a respectable comment site for discussions.

Disqus.com is a website where you have different categories where you create discussions or respond them. It seems cool at first, but I got to be totally honest. Disqus.com has the worst moderators I've ever seen and the news and politics communities are insane. They will all attack you if don't agree with all their views. However, I was warned by sitejabber about this place. But for some dumb reason, I believed if I a gave it a chance I'd might like it. It could be a new Sodahead and a step up from IGNboards. But man was I horrifically wrong. Let's start with the moderation. Unless they like what you say, free speech isn't tolerated. They'll remove your comments and ban you without you knowing. I got remove from the breaking news section and all my comments I posted in the breaking news section were removed. They weren't bad at all and didn't violate any of the rules. I made a thread about how to figure out why I was banned from breaking news in Duck's den.
The Duck's Den is suppose to be a place where you could ask why you were banned or why was your content removed. However, the thread has been marked as spam. How the $#*! is that spam!? I tried asking other communities before that thread, they couldn't help or figure out what was going on either. I even ask the Admins of Disqus but they said:

"Hi Raj, As Disqus doesn't moderate at the site/ channel level. The best you can do is to pick another channel to post on."

Unbelievable, right? Mods there can get away with anything. It's totally frustrating. Now for the communities. It's mostly a right winged site. But that's not the problem. The problem it's full of flammers, bigots, racists and blockers. What's annoying is that most moderators due that favoritism BS, so if you're cool with the mods you're not going to get nuked. The website design is seems OK, they should allow private conversations. This is a terrible website ran by people who were clearly bullied in school or just flat out $#*!s who didn't make it in life. So they bully people online, by the deleting things and banning people because they can. Don't be a victim. Heed my words: STAY AWAY FROM DISQUS.COM.

Someone asked why they got banned...
July 11, 2017
Updated review

I believe our posts get removed and we get banned, even called $#*!s from moderators--of whom you would think would act more like the referee and not the instigator--because each discussion has an agenda. As long as you go along with what everyone else who is still in the discussion is saying, you are fine. However, dare express an alternate opinion--of which you may not even realize you are doing--you are told you are trolling (which means you are purposely writing something meant to cause disruption). Therefore as a troll, your post is removed.
If you then ask why your post was deleted, you are now called a $#*! and are banned from the discussion entirely. And when you become confused as to what just happened for no reason, especially after a moderator who uplifted several of your opinions disagreed with one and simply deleted it, you finally find someone in Disquis management. It is then you are told to take it up with the moderator who banned you or another moderator on the page. You are also told the moderators have free-run to delete anything and ban anyone they want to and that management WILL NOT step in or interfere with a moderator's decision, even if that moderator is belittling you and is cursing at you.
Finally, if you decide to appeal to another moderator thinking you will get a rational response, you are told you "threatened" the moderator who banned you because you went to management. Then are you threatened with getting banned completely off of Disquis for life?
It's as simple and as ignorant as that!

According to Diqus (which means to discuss), the idea of the site is to discuss topics/issues of all kinds within society. A topic, such as a lead news event, is placed on a page and people are "invited" to discuss, comment and share their opinions on it. The idea is to exchange and share ideas and viewpoints. This is a great way to understand others who think differently than yourself and gather more understanding on issues.

I quit using discus. They only allow radical right views. If you state something contrary to their mind thought, they go after you personally, when I read something, and want to say something, and when it's Disqus, I just don't bother.

Boycott Disqus!
June 14, 2017

Quite right, these other comments on this page. Disqus lures websites in, then runs a bait and switch program, automatically imposing censorship across the board. Quality commentary is shadow banned, antagonists are promoted. If you upset one person at one site, you are likely to see every single comment you've ever made anywhere on the net, retroactively removed. Text banning, thought police, deceiving posters, misrepresenting the product to webmasters, corporate nightmare disqus. The proliferation of Disqus on blogging boards is awful. If you love censorship, you'll love disqus. Disqus is disqusting. I'm tagging in a new IP address, but I won't be frequenting any sites which use Disgus anymore. Disqus seems to be the most unethical blog host I've ever seen. There is nothing more offensive than censorship. Now with extra bias, automation, and completely chaotic management tools. They'd have to give disqus away for free, and it won't be long before people won't even accept it. You can't sell censorship to intelligent adults, it's plainly stupid to promote censorship based on feelings and biased considerations. Disqus's quintessential mistake was to blur the line between automatic spammers, bots, and organized troll parties, and include regular individuals trying to make regular comments in the list of persons to be censored. What do you want to bet that if you were a powerful company, you could pay Disqus to auto censor commentary net-wide with key words related to your business? I'd bet you can. Thanks Disqus.

Disqus is an arm of the domestic Left in America, and a MONOPOLY that "black-lists" cogent conservatives impeding them to sign in on the websites that use their service, Most of those websites are leftist, the rest --incredibly, including some conservative websites-- just don't care and take the "freebie" that Disqus places under their mouths. Non-leftist websites should wise up and use other services to get the sing in processing done. Conservative and other non-leftist bloggers should denounce and expose Disqus.

I stopped using Disqus today. It appears to be designed for "political trolls", meaning, it is perfectly alright for anybody to write a short obnoxious comment yet as soon as you write out a well throughout comment or reply, it will flag your comment as "SPAM" and however long you took to write your comment or reply will be wasted time and effort.
