I think the company is a sham. Operating only in a small residential area with no fixed address in the website. Stay away from this company. Worse nightmare if you buy stuff from them. I's a fake company.
I have never seen such bad quality prints. Contacted the support who graciously sent replacements free of charge. They are not better. Astoundingly incompetent or domething is very wrong in the quality control...
NEVER buying again.
Lowest quality Tshirts, all cotton but weird cut/shape, cheap stitching! My Tshirt came to me with the sleevse stitched to the midback creating a huge wrinkle. They accepted the return but I had to pay $14 return shipping for a defective product. I will not try them again!
I've just received 3 shirts, two of which are graduation gifts. They're huge and the print quality is terrible. It's as though they ran out of ink - on all 3 shirts. Disappointing. The sizes are also massive, which is not at all what I expected based on their sizing chart. I can try to shrink the shirts in the dryer, but I'm concerned about the print. Not professional looking at all. I will not be buying any more shirts from them, which is a shame because their science tees are fun. Disappointed - and not sure how the recipient will feel when she sees the prints.
Print is the worse quality i have seen in my life and i buy a lot of anime shirts. I am shocked that someone actually let this shirt get shipped. I will never order from here again. There are other websites for anime shirts. They also have horrible customer service. It can take weeks until you hear from someone regarding a return. Its 2021, they should have a better return system put in place. My print of Hisoka has many dark lines. Its hard to tell by the picture but in person the shirt is unwearable.
Stay away, they don't answer email or provide a phone number to talk to a human. They SUCK. I've' been waiting for 3 months.
I ordered a tee shirt Jan. 10,2021. It arrived in a timely manner and the quality of the T-shirt itself was good. The graphic of the cat falling through a pocket was not. It had a noticeable light streak through it. I emailed twice giving them 2 weeks each time to respond. Other than an immediate email each time, acknowledging my query and saying it might be quite a while before they could get back to me, I have yet to hear anything. It's been at least a 6 wks. I'm sorry I ordered without doing my homework first. There was no place to leave a review on their website that I could find. It's too bad because the designs are fun and different.

When I first found DBH around 8 years ago, I remember getting high-quality prints on high-quality material T-shirts for an unbeatable price (during sales shirts were only like $17). They won my loyalty, and for years I have continued to order a lot of my shirts from them...
Sadly, over the past 2 years, EVERYTHING, and I mean everything about the company has gone downhill!
As all of these more recent reviews are alluding to, customer service is almost non-existent, and when they are there, they don't communicate clearly or on time... And that's if they end up even replying at all.
The last 2 orders I have placed with them had to be fixed twice, taking each order about 3-4 months to be properly fulfilled.
-They use multiple types of shirts from different parts of the world now, and one brand (next level) is way too small and the shirts shrink so much they end up looking like crop tops (or bibs as another reviewer mentioned lol)
-Prints are often printed on the wrongs side
-Prints are often the wrong size
-Prints are often poor quality (missing ink, wrong colors, etc, etc)
If I could give this company no stars I would. Ordered a shirt that came defective. I have sent several emails over the past 3 weeks with no response back.

My order - of SIX t-shirts, no less... at a price tag of 25$ a piece, was more than 2 weeks late vs. Their "estimated delivery date". Their customer service when I inquired about status was terrible - long, convoluted senseless answer 4+ days later. I had to insist to get an answer. Tshirts arrived too late for a Christmas gift. They looked great at first (good cotton quality, funny designs). But once washed - following their instructions! Some large stains and white stripes appeared... truly bad quality, on a shirts. Their customer service responded more than a week post complaint. Asked me to send back all shirts at my expense, but ONLY if they "hadn't been washed"!... to have an EXCHANGE. No apologies, no nothing. Not even an offer for a partial refund. Do NOT recommend. Despicable quality and customer service.
I ordered from them the beginning of December 2020, and still haven't received my order February 1st 2021. I've tried several times to contact customer service about where the products that u paid money for are and have never gotten a response. Do not waste your money. I wish I would have seen these reviews before I wasted mine.
I haven't purchased anything from Design by Humans yet, but I am one of the people who signed up to be someone who sells their products here. Now, I should mention that it took many hoops to jump through- including a submission of a portfolio- for them to be able to accept me as a partner. However, once I finished all that, they accepted me within the hour. This will become important later.
Very soon after, I submit my first design to one of their Brand partners (Sea of Thieves, if it matters). They say they'll review it and get back to me within a month. A month and a half later they return, saying they can not use the design. No worries, right? That's fine. I eventually redesign it more to their liking and send it back.
Two months go by before they get back to me, specifying that yes, they can use this design! Perfect, right? Wrong. Apparently, I need to resize the image a very specific degree and send it back to them- something they didn't state anywhere on the submission site. Okay; a little annoying, sure, but that's still something I can do. I change the size and resubmit it, and while I'm at it, submit a second design I'd finished in the meanwhile- tailoring its sizing to match the first one I submitted.
Now, when you submit any design, you get a helpful email telling you that your design has been submitted. Looking through my email, I noticed that the second design had a submission email, but not the first. I wasn't aware if this was simply a problem with whatever email-bot the site used, or a problem with my design submission going through. So, I contacted customer support about it; I didn't want to accidentally submit my same design twice, and potentially aggravate whoever it was that validated and denied the designs.
Customer support is supposed to get back to you within about a week or so- business hours only. It's been a whole month since then, and I have not received a response. Nor have I received any updates on my submitted designs. I find it frustrating how they can accept more partners to make more designs for them (and, by extension, make them more money) within the hour, but they can't be bothered to help when it comes to time-sensitive customer complaints.
TLDR: Think twice before you decide to partner with Design by Humans. They're incredibly slow, offer poor customer support, and send their artists jumping through hoops and running around without guidance. A website that offers its users genuine monetary gain should be far more professional than this!
I paid $25 for t-shirts that I wouldn't pay $5 for. The ink is so faded on the shirts that they look like they have been washed 100 times. I put the black shirt next to a black tv remote and it looked gray and faded in comparison. The shirts are thin as well.
6 plus weeks for an order that was supposed to arrive by Christmas. It is now January 6th 2021 and no merchandise received. Contacted them several times and they do not respond. I will be filing an FTC complaint.
I ordered a hoodie on November 30th, 2020. It said that it was being made specifically to what I ordered and I would have it by December 14th. The 14th comes and my order is still "being made". I reached out. Told them I wanted to cancel my order, because it was not going to arrive on time, it was a Christmas gift. They emailed back, more than a week later saying that they had shipped it. It was the 22nd at this point. I explained my situation, and how I couldn't track it because there was no tracking info. They assured me it was on the way, and I explained again, I did not want it. It was going to arrive too late and I was going to buy a different gift to replace it. I have sent at least 3 emails since December 14th. It is now December 31st, and I haven't gotten a single reply back. The hoodie finally arrived on December 29th. And it's the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen! I ordered a size small. BIG MISTAKE! It's a child size small! Not an adult size small. The material is SO cheap, and thin, it's like t-shirt material. The print on it was done very poorly as well. I haven't worn it, or washed it, and it's peeling off on the top corner. I have emailed about this as well. Still, no response. A 50$ piece of sh*t hoodie! I could have bought a plain black hanes hoodie & put my own logo on the front of it, and it would have been better quality! The lack of care from them was my biggest concern. The fact they take NO pride in their work. They refuse to acknowledge my concern, and refuse to respond to my emails. I am writing reviews for their poor service, and very, very poor quality work that they're sending out. So, BUYER BE WARNED... IF YOU'VE GOT $ TO BURN, BY ALL MEANS. THIS IS YOUR PLACE. IF YOU WANT QUALITY, AND GOOD MANNERS, SHOP AROUND!
Order this beginning of december with priority shipping. Still waiting and sent 4 e mails with an automated response. Never again. This is a present. Now I wish I had read reviews first because if it even arrives it may be low quality judging by what other reviews are saying. Stick to the sites you know well.
It's been a full 3 weeks since I ordered my merchandise. They have sent me nothing and do not answer any of my emails. I have been robbed of about $50.00. These were to be presents.
On 11/27/20 I ordered three t-shirts for my niece for her birthday. They took my money. They sent an email estimating the delivery date of 12/11/20. As of today - 12/15/20 they haven't processed the order! I sent a request on the contact form (there is no phone number anywhere on their website) for an explanation on 12/12/20, a Saturday. Of course, they are not open on weekends, before 8:"00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m. As of 12/15/20, a Tuesday, they failed to respond to my inquiry about where the order was. I had to initiate a chat. The person on chat blamed shipping problems for the delays, until I called her on it, then she admitted that it was their processing problems, blamed it on COVID. But didn't they know about COVID when they took my order, my money and gave me a 14 day shipping estimate? NO IDEA what the product is like because it hasn't been received. BY THE WAY, this was not a custom order - chose their designs. Chat person refuses to give me a phone number to talk to someone on the phone.
From best to worst t-shirt company in under 2 years. What happened? I have bought over 30 t-shirts from them over the last decade and the fit, material and prints were flawless. The prints felt soft and perfectly integrated into the fabric. They lasted dozens wash cycles without fading or chipping
Out of my latest order, the print quality varied from OK to terrible. One shirt has an unacceptable print which is missing maybe 25% of the image for which DBH will send me a replacement. Another print that is supposed to be a pristine geometrical design with solid colors has scratches, faded colors and some very blurry edges. Overall, the prints have that tacky feel to them which will obviously lead to crack and chipping after a few washes. This is not the even close to the quality of the shirts I bought in the past.
Design by Humans used to be special, now they are like all other cheap t-shirts, but they are still sold at premium price.
What is going on here? New management? Are they intentionally driving the brand to the ground by cutting quality and trying to make as much money as possible before closing?
Update: Update: I got my replacement T-shirts... and the prints are even worst.
Answer: Maybe COVID-19 has impacted their business. Don't know if they are jerks as that would mean I've been able to have some contact with someone at the company. That is the issue, there is a complete lack of customer service. A request for an exchange requires first digging up the policy on their website and filling in an online form. But after an initial automated acknowledgment, there is no response. For over a month, even with multiple attempts to follow up, I have not received a single communication from this company.
Answer: Not sure at this point. Never sent my order as of 3 weeks.
Answer: If opening a store involves their customer service coming between you and your customers, I would say stay away. Their lack of customer service has led me to stop buying from DBH.
