I've had a lot of fun. I've won more than I spent, so I guess that's a good thing. Having stuff show up at my door is like Christmas in July! I like getting cool stuff!
I've only had one problem so far. A glitch with their BidBuddy system. I've entered bids into their BidfBuddy, I had no "Cancel" button available to me to get out of the auction. It's happened more than once. Most recently was when I entered 500 bids on an item and couldn't get out of the auction. All I could do was watch my bids tick away! I reported it to their technical team to dispute the number of bids I lost. I'll give an update whatever the outcome... stay tuned.
Okay, like I said, here's the update: DealDash Support made note of the glitch and credited me back 95% of bids I lost due to the malfunction. I updated my rating to 5 star and have been extremely satisfied with the site and their support team. DealDash Rocks! IMO
There are way too many rude people who use this site, if you're smart don't even start using this site. Look at it this way, if u buy an ipod for say $30 u'll be like "omg look how much i saved!" but in reality those $30 equal 3000 bids which each cost 60 cents. Dealdash makes 1,830 bucks for something they bought for like 100 bucks. And in my experience for the past month there are now way too many people to win anything for cheap prices that make sense. If you want my advice, don't even start or try this site out.
Hi Zach, thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear you don't enjoy the site. Each bidder has a bidder bio which they can update to share something about themselves. Although the majority of people use this in a kind and friendly manner to share hobbies, etc. there are some that use the bio to try and intimidate others - for example say. That they'll bid forever! Most people however just try to ignore the ridiculous or rude bios and then report it to our customer support team so we can remove the bio and request the person to use the bio as intended.
As for the price items get sold for it may seem that someone from outside the company could calculate the money DD makes using your calculation example, however these calculations don't take into account all the free bids used in the auction, the fact that bids are purchased on sale at 15¢ instead of 60¢ and that most people that don't win the auction get those bids back for free to try again after the auction is finished because they Buy it Now. With that said, of course we want to make a profit and we do so in order to exist so that we can continue providing a fun place to shop and get some great deals. We are the longest operating site of our kind in the USA since 2009 and there have been hundreds of PA sites come and go - one reason being they could not sustain supplying the deals therefore went bankrupt. All in all, we have about the same profit margins as an average retail store and it's our mission to continue providing a fun, fair and honest marketplace for people to come together and shop. Anyone interested in giving DD a try can do so completely risk free as we offer a 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase within 90 days - no questions asked.
If you'd like to learn more about our business please feel welcome to contact our support team via email or chat. I hope I was able to address some of your concerns and provide some useful information in this message. Sincerely, David
Thank you Paul, we appreciate the feedback. Here are some top customer voted bidding tips:
1. Bid only on items you like.
2. Focus on one auction at a time.
3. Decide in advance how many bids you will use in the auction (keep to this limit).
4. Use Buy it Now if you don't win to get your bids back and the item
5. Keep to a budget
For those that don't know what the Buy it Now is, it allows those that don’t win the auction, to still get the wanted item because you’ll have the chance to buy the item for its low retail price. We’ll ship it for free and even give you back all the bids you used trying to win it in the auction.
It is really sad had the mount of players, playing as a joint team has increased. It is difficult
For DEAL DASH to stop it, players can often play in same auctions, but it is how they are playing. They maneuver down to 3 bidders on a item and one disappears, and within 1 bid the team player stops bidding allowing for there partner to win a auction at a extremely low price. They often try to disguise with a new player joining with no information like State, but they jump in and out of auction trying to mislead legitimate player as to how many bidders are bidding at the same time, and in a blink of the eye AUCTION is over and team has won, making it frustrating for honest players. It is more prevalent now more than ever! Making it unfair to other legitimate players to have a fair chance to win. That is why where there is gambling there will always be those that exploit it.
I registered to the site, and the only way to get a real idea of how it worked was to purchase a bid package. I purchased the least amount, which was 200 bids@. 17 a bid for a total expense of $34. It is a total sham... please avoid... for instance, before you purchase, just look at the bidding home page, and do the math, bids go up incrementally at one cent in purchase price for each bid. Why do you think that is, it's because with every bid (at 17 cents each) represents enormous revenue to this company. Think about it, if the current bid shows a price of $46.00, that means $4,600 bids were placed so far, at a price paid to the company of $782 just in bids, plus the $46.00 purchase price, so $828 total to the company for probably a $100 item! DO YOUR MATH people, and AVOID THIS! At least on Ebay, you don't spend any money unless you won the bid on the item you want. You are not caught up in the clicking away 17 cents every ten seconds!
Hi Mary, did you know DD has a 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase? This allows anyone to try the site completely risk free. Our customer support team is also ready to help answer any questions about how the site works to ensure complete understanding. Additionally, anyone that does not win the auction can just buy the item at its regular retail price and get back all the bids used in the auction free. Please let me know your username and I'll be happy to personally reach out to you and assist further and ensure you receive your refund as you are not satisfied. Sincerely, David
I wish I could give less than 1 star.
This is a complete scam. STAY AWAY.
I saw a commercial for this on Fox News (should have been my first clue huh?) with all these cute elderly people claiming they won Ipads for $29 and the like.
Let me be very clear IT IS IMPOSSIBLE.
First of all, read the fine print on those TV ads. Find out how many bids the small print says they needed before they won the item - IF they won it at all which I strongly suspect is a lie. If you do see the small print you will see the average "winner" bit more than 1000 times! That means they spent at least 1000 x 0.18 (per bid - the current lowest price for their back to school special) = $180 just in bids alone! That doesnt include the price you end up winning the auction at which was never close to $29 for electronics.
I made the mistake of being suckered into this scam. DONT DO IT.
I wound up spending $72 in bids and got absolutely NOTHING. Not a single thing.
Here's the TRUTH about this site.
1. You have to buy bids. Each bid costs at least 18 cents. Sounds cheap right?
2. Once you bought your bids you can enter the auctions.
3. The auctions start when there is 10 seconds left on the clock - sounds great right? Just get your bid in before the 10 seconds are up and BOOM - you win! NO NOT AT ALL.
4. Every time a bid is placed before the 10 seconds are up - the clock starts OVER again at 10 seconds!
5. That means that you can literally bid at 9 seconds and it's all for nothing clock starts all over again.
The site tries to keep you hooked by giving you free bids for every min then 2 min then 3 min etc you are top bidder. ANOTHER SCAM.
It's almost impossible to remain top bidder for more than a few seconds. Someone will come in, place their bid and boom you need to bid again.
This site is nothing more than masked online gambling if I am being honest. They try to entice you with the rush of the bidding but the house will always have the upper hand.
STAY AWAY.
Hi Haley, sorry you do not like the website after trying. There are over 800 auction winners everyday on the site and a risk free buy it now option in case you don't win. Please be sure to get in touch with customer support to get your second chance guarantee (bids returned from your first purchase free for a second chance) if you would like and your 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase since you're not satisfied. Sincerely, David
Have to bid wisely but i will recommend you to try it
Very true Abdul! It's important to bid wisely and follow some top bidding tips customers share:
1. Bid only on items you like.
2. Focus on one auction at a time.
3. Decide in advance how many bids you will use in the auction (keep to this limit).
4. Use Buy it Now if you don't win to get your bids back.
5. Keep to a budget
Even if you don’t win the auction, you can still get the item you wanted because you’ll have the chance to buy the item for its low retail price. We’ll ship it for free and even give you back all the bids you used trying to win it in the auction.
Me and 3 of my friends tryed dealdash.com... Well a waste of 36 dollars we all one 2 to 3 penny auctions with each one was worth $10 so the a loss of 6 dollars and all the time. Would love to know how I can get my time and money back!
Hi Tom, thanks for letting us know about your experience. We’re glad to hear you and your friends all won 2 to 3 auctions, however very sorry to hear you did not enjoy the experience. If you would let us know your username we'd be happy to look into this and help you get your money back. Just reach out to our customer support team. Thank you
I have bought about 350.00 in bid pks. Seems all i win are cheap inexpensive items like 10.00 gift card or $20 or $30 item, well hell i've spent 20x what these items equal, i mean its fun but not really worth it. I feel as far as anyone really knows they could have hired bidders working for them to scam people into buying bids for items they want thats more epensive, as far as there ads them people i'm sure are being paid to say how wonderful they are. Thats all i have to say, take as you see worthy. Mike.
A great customer tip is to always Bid and shop for items you like! DD has a great variety of items available but always bid on items you really like and would like to buy for myself or give as a gift. This way if you don't win the auction, just buy it to get bids back and have those bids to win something else.
DealDash really is a FAIR and HONEST bidding site. Recommend to anybody whose been through those other so called Penny auctions, switch over to the best and you won't be disappointed.
I just spent 30.00 (200 points) on an item that was won for 8.00. It seems my Bid Buddy ran out at 7.99. What a ripoff! I ahve been outbid by 1 cent more than once. I now belive other posters who feel Dealdash is manipulated. I should have paid attention to these reviews before I joined.
Hi Jon, I'm sorry you were outbid in the auction. When no more bids are placed the auction sells to the highest bidder therefore the winner always will win by just 1 cent. Keep in mind there is a 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase if not satisfied for any reason. Just get in touch with customer support. Sincerely, David
I just saw an example where, early bidding on a $1000 Amazon Gift Card where the 10 second clock ticked down, ran out to 0:00 and then the next bid was accepted 3 seconds later. Another time it was 6 seconds after the bid ran out! My opinion is they wouldn't let the clock run out. The customer rep blamed it on my computer's lag time when I emailed them, but it was shown on their clock as the bids were made. 7/13/13 $1000 Amazon gift card starting about 12:30pm CST. One bid was at 10:51:24 and the next was at 10:51:37 (PST) 13 seconds later! Then there was another one at 10:52:13 with the next bid at 10:52:29 16 seconds later. I saw the countdown clock go to 0:00 then there was another bid! I couldn't believe it! I also saw where 2 people came in at the same amount. They show the avatar of each bidder and there were 2 that came in at 62 cents. How does that happen when the bid is increased by 1 cent for each bit? Stay Away. Rip Off. They agreed to refund the full amount I paid for bids because I just signed up yesterday.
I'm sorry for the negative experience and glad you received your refund. From your message it sounds like there was heavy network delays on the site therefore it was not functioning normally.
I bought 2 bid packs and won nothing. They say you should win something, but its not very likely.
Hi Jen, I'm sorry to hear you did not win an auction with your bids. On average bidders win at least six auctions and there are over 800 auction winners every day on the site. Please be sure to get in touch with customer support to get your second chance guarantee (bids returned from your first purchase free for a second chance) and your 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase if you wish. Sincerely, David
They make it impossible to win without spending more than the product is worth. Don't do it!
Hi Michael, I'm sorry to hear you feel this way. The auctions are really unpredictable which is part of what makes shopping on DD so exciting and on average there are over 800 auction winners every day. If you don't win an auction with your first bid pack, we'll return those bids free to give you a second chance. If you're still not satisfied with your shopping experience, we provide a full 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase - no questions asked. Just send us an email and we'll be happy to help you out.
I am aware before that auction sites could actually give us the ability to own an iPad or a TV at a low price but I never expected to get those things for a dollar only. My ideas and perceptions about this matter changed when I came cross this one site that many people already love.
DealDash has a well-known name in the online realm as one of the best reliable sites that offer more for your hard-earned money. It is not every day that you get to buy electronic gadgets or designer bags at 60% to 70% off its price tag but this can happen right at DealDash. All you need to do is purchase a meager 60-cent pre-bid pack which you can use in bidding for your noted products.
My bidding and auctions experiences there are all totally good. You should also check out this auction site open of these days and actually get those items at prices you would think as crazy offers!
DEALDASH MAKES MY DREAM BEST
Hi dudes! Am Robert, 21 yrs old. I am a great follower of Vampires. I'm always excited when someone narrates about vampires. My grandfather narrated me about Vampire diaries, a novel based on vampires, when I was 10. It was penned by a famous novelist L. J. Smith. I was very much thrilled and I dreamed that I should see this story like a movie.
The story centers on Elena Gilbert, a young high school girl who finds herself eventually torn between two vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon Salvatore. I read the entire stories of the novel. I was very excited when movies regarding vampires like Underworld, Twilight etc hits the screen. In 2009, this story was published in the CW television network in the clear vision.
"An idea gets better when we see it than we read it!". With more visual and sound effects, this story was published like a serial with several seasons for each book. As I heard that these stories were published in a series on television. And by that time the three seasons were over and the fourth one is going on. So I decided to buy a DVD regarding vampire diaries. As each DVD costs $50. I dint have enough money to buy it.
As I was using DealDash, an auction site. I found some DVD's were in the auction. Then I searched for "The Vampire Diaries", it displayed the dvd's for each serial. I decided to buy it through auction. As there were 3 seasons in the auction and the fourth one was not yet completed. I lost once and won the auction twice in $9.76 and $11.23. The lost one was brought by retail price. I enjoyed seeing the serial with HD quality and digital surroundings. As the story was horror, It looks more thrilling and my dream comes true. Thanks to DealDash! For this great offer.

The timers seems to be rigged. Even if you are quick enough to bid at the -1 second mark you don't win the auction, the timer resets to 9 seconds and you have to waste MORE bids. This site is for people who have LOTS of money to buy bids and spend hours trying to beat the timer
Hi Carol, sorry if there's been any possible misunderstanding about how the site works. With each new bid the clock always resets to allow a chance for someone else to place a bid. If no new bids are placed the auction sells to the highest bidder. Our customer support team is always available to help with any questions so don’t hesitate to chat or email us at anytime.
I don't usually use sites like this, but i found out that to me this is the safest site out there to buy and use bids, sometimes when using webroot to rate other sites it may take awhile to get your bids in the long run it's worth the wait
At first I could not stop winning with first bid pack... Than spent over a 100 dollars and won nothing... Bid during last 2 seconds and it would not accept it. Stay far from this site. There must be people being paid for there reviews here.
Sorry to hear you've been having a hard time winning more auctions recently. People tend to have a much better experience and win more auctions when using DD not just as a bidding site but as a shopping site too. In case you lose, just buy the item you wanted at regular price and get back all the bids used for a chance to win and save on something else. This is why it’s recommended to only bid on items you like. Our customer support team is always available to help with any questions so don’t hesitate to chat or email us at anytime.
Well…. Saw this on tv yesterday and checked it out…i have used quibids before and its basically the same…i have come out ahead on quibids and the bids here are 15 cents compared to 60 over there so bought the 33.00 pack…right away i won 3 10.00 gift cards and 1 15.00 gift card…3.01 bids and 1.22 bid so i send in my quarter with paypal…but i still have over 200 bids left so what to do?…i decide to let the whole thing ride on a 25.00 git card. That auction has been going on for 6 hrs and it up to 8.40…needles to say my bids ran out at about 7.30…funny how you can bid once and win and then bid 730 times and its just you and another bidder for hours on end…then a third one jumps in at 7.00 just before my bids run out…i figure im ahead of the game 12.00 but really dont let this go to your head or any other penny auction for that matter…. I actually did much beter with quibids…. Won 145.00 in gift cards for 15.00 but once my bid pack is done, then so am i
Answer: Thats a hard question to answer, because it depends on the article, and its value. I will say I have won some great Articles, and lost many, maby more. The more valuable the article the harder to win. Personally, I gave up on Deal Dash due to the BID STOMPING and Jumpers and the gready nature of some bidders, who stockpile bids. Also, even though Deal Dash supposedly has means to catch Buddy Bidding, I myself have caught at least 4 people doing buddy bidding, reported it, and nothing was ever done about it. Finally I no longer play on Deal Dash, for the reasons I mentioned, but thats my choice. Its up to you, on what you want to do. Hope this helps.
Answer: Hi Beatriz, I want to start this conversation by inviting you to read our Audit Conducted by Ernst & Young: https://dealdash.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/dealdash_ey_audit.pdf Fair & Honest is a symbolic capture of DealDash's core values, and these certainly start and end with our commitment to being humanistic. I would love to show this to you, how can we help? Please let me know. Adrian Community Manager
Answer: Hi William. If you do not win an auction you will not automatically get the bids back to your account. You have the option to use the Buy it Now button. By using the Buy it Now option you will get the item for retail price and all bids back to your account that you used in the auction. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they both get the item they initially wanted, as well as retain all their bids. If you do not want to use Buy it Now you will unfortunately lose the bids. We recommend our users to bid on items they really want, so that if they lose the auction, they can still get the item and their bids back. Let me know if you have more questions!
Answer: Hi Julie, I hope you are having a wonderful day I'd be happy to explain how the Buy-It-Now option works. Each bid you place takes away one of your bids from your balance and increases the price of the auction by 1 penny, then resetting the clock to 10 seconds. It's in this small window that someone else must decide if they will place a bid to outbid you. If no new bids are placed and you are the final bidder in the auction, you win the auction at the final sales price. If you do not win the auction, you will see the Buy It Now button. By using the Buy it now option, you will get the item for retail price and all the bids you used in that auction will be returned to your bid balance. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they get the item they initially wanted as well as retain all their bids. Please let us know if you have any other questions and be sure to read more about us here: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work Thanks so much for your great question, please feel free to reach back out and let us know if there's anything else you need. Answer: Hi Emogene! Great to hear you had a good experience and won a few items. Orders are usually delivered in 7-10 business days. I hope you enjoy your items. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Answer: Hi Kathy - All items are brand new. We work with top suppliers such as Walmart and Sears, who ship the items directly to your door! If you are unhappy with any item you receive, simply contact our support team and they will help you out. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Answer: Hi Elizaabeth, Thank you for getting in touch. We offer all of our customers a full money back guarantee for the first bid pack purchase. Our payments team can get in touch with you and issue a refund. Please send me a number we can call. My email is [email protected]
Answer: Hi Patricia, Thank you for getting in touch. I am sure this has been a misunderstanding. DealDash is audited by Ernst & Young, confirming that all bids are placed by real customers and all items are delivered. DealDash members and their acquaintances are strictly banned from taking part in the auctions. My guess is that another user may have chosen a user name similar to DealDash. If so, we'll need to change it to avoid confusion. Please send me an email with your user name, so I can find the auctions and spot the user. My email is [email protected] I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Adrian Community Manager
Answer: Hi Jan, For new users, I normally recommend watching our How it Works video for a brief overview of what to expect from the auctions: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work DealDash has a 100% money back guarantee on your first bid pack purchase and a winning guarantee. If you decide to give DealDash a try and don't win an auction with your first bid pack we'll return the bids back to your account free for a second chance. You can even keep any bids in your account or items you have won. Giving DealDash a try is risk free!
Answer: Hi Jasmine. All items on the site are brand new, factory sealed and come with standard manufacturer’s warranties. Vanessa, I am very sorry to hear you have felt that way. Could you please let me know your user name and I'll pull up your account? I'll be happy to assist with any concerns!
