Morgan helped me find the perfect dress and was super friendly! I had a great experience! Couldn't have asked for better help!
I am very grateful to both Robby and Louanne for their help in helping me find a beautiful dress to wear as a wedding guest for a bride and her family (very dear to me). It turned out that the very first dress that Robby picked out (I considered many) was the one I went with! He was a very good listener, had a great eye and cared about my finding something that I will not only feel good about wearing, but that I would love it, and I do, and actually, it is quite comfortable on! Well done!
I had the most amazing experience with Farida at David's Bridal while fitting and arranging alterations for my dress. She was extremely informative, knowledgeable and warm. She really made my experience delightful. We added a belt to my dress and it elevated my look and made my simple dress really shine. I would recommend all brides work with Farida, but she truly was lovely.
My entire experience here was horrible! The day I came to try dresses on for my big day I had a dress online I absolutely loved but they didn't have it in my size. So I tried on similar ones and found one that fit perfect. All it needed was shortened and a little lace detail over the arm. Like a hanging cap maybe 3-4inches if fabric. I was told that day that they could take the extra fabric from the bottom and add that no problem. I was also told that because I made an appointment I was going to get 10% off my purchase. Got in my car so excited and when I got home realized I didn't get the 10% off. I called a couple days after to get a ruff estimate on the alterations price and was told it will definitely not be over $100 since my dress only had 3 layers and just needed shorten. And because of that I didn't stress the 10% off. I came for my alterations was told that can't do the lace detail on the arm like I was promised and then was charged $270 for literally just taking 7inches off the bottom in the front of my dress. The manager came up and said she could take $50 off since I was a diamond reward member and there was a coupon for the first alterations. Like why wasn't that offered already! I wasn't asked at all at checkout if I had rewards membership. I was so upset I couldn't help but cry and it was so embarrassing crying in front of strangers feeling like I just got lied too and totally misled. This is supposed to be the one thing about a wedding the bride dreams of and they have ruined my experience! I'm completely crushed!
I was a walk in costumer. I felt awkward when I walked in because the staff did not treat me like a bride to be because of my age. Yes i am older than the average bride. I did not have the service I deserved. No petite sizes, and your on your own. Towards the end I bought my dress. I will never go back again though.
Worst return policy bought shoe had to order and took two weeks to come actually had to call them to find out they were in went on vacation for a week when we got back the weren't quite right took back to the store for a refund said it was out of the return policy 7 days really they are nice until you want to return something then they are really rude don't buy from them unless you really really want it
We went to David's bridal in Fargo ND for a fitting with Taylor she was amazing very helpful and it was a great experience!
I have been waiting for a refund for over a month. In the past two weeks, I have called and texted many customer service representatives and no one can figure out to get me my refund. All I get is passed on to the next person. I would not recommend them as far as online purchasing.
I ordered a simple dress for a second wedding on the beach. The customer service during the purchase phase was impeccable. A good amount of suggestive sales occurred to complete the entire look.
I was contacted by phone saying my dress was in so I contacted my daughters to attend the fitting (one driving an hour from out of town). We arrived and were informed the decorative belt was in but the dress had not arrived. We left.
I was not contacted again. After several more weeks following the recommend 4-6 week delivery timeframe I attempted to contact the store during business hours. I followed the telephone prompts and was unable to even leave a message. After a few more tries I opted for the alterations department prompt. The seamstress put me on hold to check on my dress (not her job) and informed me that the dress was in. I picked up the dress that day, tried it on and scheduled a fitting.
I arrived for my 10 am fitting with my dress in tow at 9:58. I was made to wait outside the door as they opened the door for an employee to enter them locked the door again and waited two more minutes while an employee stood feet from me inside the door. At 10am when they opened they let me in. I informed the manager of the poor customer service and she said the cash register was not operational before 10 and offered no further explanations or apologies.
During the alterations I was fitted, signed paperwork then was told my $200 wedding dress would cost $200 to alter. I am a size 12 and a size 16 was ordered requiring significant alterations. I am of average proportions and buy off the rack.
My alterations appointment was delayed to the point where it would have been difficult to find another seamstress in the time remaining prior to my wedding. I felt stuck to pay the exorbitant amount.
Do your homework. This was the most stressful part of my wedding planning when it should have been a memorable experience.
My review is specifically for Mrs. Stacey Knight at the Glen Burnie store.
1) As soon as we walked in ( myself & my sister) I'm the mother of bride. We were greeted immediately with a warm smile. By the staff at the front desk
2) The store was clean, not overly crowed I was direct to my area so I didn't have to wander around the store.
3) Stacey was assigned to me. Immediately I knew she was the person for me. She was warm, friendly, listened when I spoke, she assessed my needs with limited conversation, professional with a little sassiness which helped me RELAX! I enjoyed her immensely. Even though I didn't make a purchase I had to do this review. Mrs Stacey Knight is a 5-star bridal coordinator. Thank you
Oh My Goodness... My daughter and I went into David's in Woodbridge yesterday afternoon and had one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. On walking in, we were greeted and asked if we had an appointment which we did not. We were looking for off the shelf Mother of the Bride and Bridesmaid dresses. 10 minutes in I asked an associate if they had any dresses with a certain (classical) neckline style and showed her an example and she immediately said, no, we don't have anything else like that in the store. They literally have thousands of dresses and many with that style of neckline. She did not offer to help in any way. Then my daughter was in a change room and an associate knocked on the door and immediately opened it wide, not waiting for a response. My daughter was naked and there was a man sitting right by the door waiting for his wife to come out of another change room and he saw everything. She was mortified! How is this not in your training package 101? Totally and completely UNACCEPTABLE! I picked up an outfit for my mother and when I went to pay, the girl asked me who had helped me. I wasn't going to say anything but the fact that she wanted to attribute my sale to a sales person for some sort of gain, flipped my Karen switch. I told her that NOBODY helped us and told her what the other sales girl did. She apologized to my daughter but used the excuse that they were conducting interviews and didn't have the time to help us. There was one other lady in the store trying on dresses, my daughter and I and about 5 staff and they couldn't have helped us? We were in the store for about 45 minutes and we saw the girls all standing around chatting with each other, fluffing dresses on hangers and completely ignoring us. David's, you need to do something about training these girls in the world of sales. I am in sales and very successful because I would never treat customers as we were treated yesterday. My budget for my dress was $1,000 and my daughters was $500 as well as there were 3 more bridesmaids that are in need of dresses. We probably could have found dresses in your store if we had have had any help whatsoever. But I'm thinking a return to your store is probably not in the future for any of us.
A completely disappointed possible customer!

I had a really bad experience with davids bridal in Syracuse ny. I went there for a wedding dress. The dress had holes in it, stains on it, and it did not fit right. They did alterations I could zip up the dress but it still had the stains, the holes, and the top part needed more cushioning. I had to leave the dress again so they could fix it and they said they would over night it to me because my wedding was in a week and a half. I received my gown and cried for 3 days straight after they did the alterations the top was floppy, the stains were still on the gown and it would not zip and since I lost weight and not gained weight it should have zipped up with no issues. Then I had to call the corporate office in Pennsylvania for help because the store said they could not do anything. Well corporate said they would give me partial payment back well my sister talked to them and I did wind up getting my full refund. If you have any issues like I did then I strongly suggest you deal with corporate instead of the store in Syracuse.
Purchased my wedding dress with them, also where my bridesmaids got their dresses all of them received dresses that were insanely too big, I was told 250 for alterations then after pinning my dress I was told 370 and they did nothing I asked, the next day I Called back and said it was too much for my price range and I was coming to pick it up I needed to pay a 35$ un pinning fee and they left a pin in the dresses chest area bc it was stuck and created a pull in my wedding dress my whole experience was devastating, Never again will I be going to David's bridal
The stylist that I had my appt with disappeared after I tried on a few dresses yesterday at the Alderwood location. I ended up sadly walking out of the store because I couldn't get any help. She was no where to be seen.
Made a 2nd appointment for alterations, realized that what was discussed was not done despite being charged for alterations. In fact, instead of doing what was agreed upon, they chose to cover up the actual stitching needed by sticking a flower where the alterations was supposed to be. When I called the manager to let her know that someone on her team was being dishonest and was doing shoddy work. She never apologized or offered a refund. She wasn't genuinely concerned or that it even happened. Really disappointing that a store manager wasn't able to conduct herself in a professional manner with integrity and care. It was an easily rectifiable situation but a manager that doesn't care says it all.
When trying on and buying my dress the women who worked there helping kept stating that the size "8" is the same as the size "6" and that the dresses are the same size? So the day of my alterations they try to tell me my dress is too big and that no one told me the dresses are the "same size". You can ask the other 4 people who were with me and heard the same thing. THEN the alterations lady was the RUDEST person and did NOT make my experience a pleasant one. She was trying to force me to get a hem and to get all kind of things done to my wedding dress that I didn't want and then got rude with me rolling her eyes and raising her voice when I told her I didn't want to do that. After picking up my dress after alterations THE VERY NEXT DAY I had 2 buttons come off and not to mention they left another button off my dress. I Later found out the rude lady was the alterations manager at the Spartanburg office named Alexis. How rude of you to act like that to me as a paying customer. I will NEVER buy from this company again and I will let everyone I know the big inconvenience I've came across. VIP alterations in boiling springs is fixing my buttons and I totally recommend them for all your alteration needs! Do not waste your time with the rude customer service at David's Bridal
I bought my dress for my son's wedding form David's Bridal which was great and reasonable. I needed alterations so scheduled an appointment. What they failed to share at the time of the scheduling is that it was going to cost $275.00! That's almost double the price of the dress. This is totally wrong and a huge disappointment especially since I bought the dress from them!
I feel really sad for all the soon to be brides. This is supposed to be the dream destination for every woman. They pretend to help you find that one dress and then YOU DO. There's all kinds of extra fees and more stuff to sell you. Just please know you have other options.
