We monitor reviews for authenticity
A few promos pop up here and their. Still, the people I've met seem autentic and patient. That matters more to me than any banner. I'm okay with it.
I asked about a credit discripancy and got a clear answer. It was a misunderstanding on my end. Nice to feel heard without a script. That builds trust.
Hi, William. Thank you for sharing your experience! 🌟 We’re glad our team could clarify the issue and that you felt genuinely heard. We’ll keep working to provide clear, personal support you can trust.
Money maker. They try to draw you in by having to pay continuously for contact communication. I never paid anything. Kept getting bombarded with fake profiles and women I'm not interested in. This dating app is a total scam.
Hi, Peter. We’re sorry for your experience. DateMyAge is designed for real, verified connections, and credits support safety and authenticity. If you’ve received messages from suspicious accounts, please send details to [email protected], so we can investigate.
It took three tries to craft my bio, but now I receive messages that feel thoughtful and genuine.
Hi Brian,
Thank you for sharing your experience. Taking the time to refine a profile can make a real difference, and we’re glad to hear it’s leading to more thoughtful and genuine conversations. That’s exactly the kind of meaningful interaction the platform is designed to support. If you need any assistance from us in the future, please contact us at [email protected]
This dating site has so many traps and tricks to eat your credits, such as "play & Win" pup up on your screen is totally a scam.
To the customers, they buy the credits/membership to communicate with people not to play game to get vertiul gifts but the "play&win" game eats your credits misleadingly. My experiese with this datemyage.com is horrible...
Dear Yanling,
Thank you for sharing your experience so openly. I completely understand your frustration, when credits are used unexpectedly, especially in a feature like “Play & Win,” it can feel misleading and take away from the main purpose of communicating with real people.
To clarify, “Play & Win” is an optional feature, and credits are only spent when you actively participate. However, if the prompts or pop-ups caused confusion or unintended deductions, that is not the experience we want for our users.
Please email [email protected] with your account details and any screenshots of the issue. Our team will review your credit usage and ensure everything aligns with our policies, so you feel confident and in control of your experience.
Your feedback is invaluable in helping us make the platform clearer and fairer for everyone.
I joined Datemyage believing it was a separate dating platform with its own community. I paid for membership for 15 months, communicating with a "verified" free member who claimed emotional involvement but not a single video call or even an attempted call ever took place, despite Datemyage's own published policy stating:
"Free users have video-calls with other members on their contact list at least twice per month."
This rule was advertised as a safeguard for authenticity, and I relied on this when deciding to pay for a subscription.
ISSUE 1 – Was the Policy Ever Enforced?
I requested a simple YES / NO answer:
Was there a video call involving my account with the free verified user during my 15-month membership?
Datemyage refused to answer directly, citing privacy even though I only asked about communication involving my own account. If the safeguard was genuinely enforced, this should be easy to confirm.
This made me question whether the policy is actually applied in practice or only used in marketing.
ISSUE 2 – Cross-Site Profile Duplication (Not Disclosed Clearly)
The same "verified" member (with the same ID, photos & videos, bio) appeared on four different affiliated platforms:
1) DateMyAge
2) AstroLove
3) Dating.com
4) YourTravelMates
The same verified free user profile appeared across all sites without disclosure at the time of purchase to the paying members
This suggests the presence of one shared backend database, while marketing suggests separate platforms with unique communities which may affect consumer expectations at the time of subscription.
ISSUE 3 – Consumer Clarity Under Australian Law
Under Australian Consumer Law, services should not create misleading impressions that influence a consumer's decision to purchase particularly regarding safeguards, profile authenticity, or the uniqueness of free verified users on the platform.
I simply asked:
1) Is profile replication automatic across platforms? Technical explanations and not general opinions
2) If safeguards exist, when are they enforced?
3) Can a free user claim emotional involvement for months without verification — indefinitely?
So far, I have received general replies but no direct answers to these questions.
FINAL THOUGHT
This review is not to cause harm but to promote transparency. I would appreciate clarity on these matters so that paying customers in future can make informed decisions based on real enforcement, not just policy wording.
I remain open to a fair response but I believe this information will help other users evaluate their options before paying.
QUESTION FOR OTHER MEMBERS
1) Did you communicate with someone for long periods without a video call or meet up in person ever happening?
2) Did the same profiles appear on different sites?
3)If you had similar experiences, please share below it may help others make informed decisions.
Posted in the interest of transparency and consumer clarity.
A former paying member
Dear Rosie,
Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review. We appreciate your concerns and want to address them clearly.
Video Call Safeguards: The “twice per month” video-call guideline is intended to encourage interaction, but enforcement relies on member activity. While we cannot disclose another member’s personal actions due to privacy, your account’s communications are fully verifiable by our support team. If a promised safeguard was not met, we can review it and take corrective steps.
Cross-Platform Profiles: DateMyAge and affiliated sites share a verification system to ensure safety and authenticity across platforms. This does not mean profiles are fabricated — rather, it prevents duplicate fraud and fake accounts. We acknowledge that this could have been more explicitly communicated, and your feedback will help us improve transparency.
Policy Enforcement & Clarity: Unusual patterns are monitored, and reports from paying members are investigated. We aim to balance member privacy with authentic engagement, and your experience helps highlight where we need better communication.
For a full, case-specific review, including verification of your interactions and enforcement of safeguards, please email [email protected]
with your account details. We’ll investigate thoroughly and respond directly.
Your feedback is invaluable in making our policies clearer for all members and ensuring that expectations match reality.
First, maybe you get the $20 discount for the first month, but each month after is $49 by the month plan - trust me - go by the month and quit early. For the price you get a limited amount of credits to use. Women have two types of accounts: paid or free. I have sent emails to ten different paid account women and have not received any responses and have not seen any online ever. To be a free account a woman must have a verified email and put up at least 10 pictures and fill out all the questions. Amazingly all the paid women rarely fill out any questions about themselves. IE, they are just taking a dip and realize quickly Datemyage is a waste of time/$$. 90% of the attractive women are Free and amazingly their photos are all posed glamour photos when they were 20 years younger. You will quickly run out of the few credits you get for joining. The cheapest refill is 50 credits for about $40. Each email or chat or video to a FREE woman will cost 1 or more credits each. It costs nothing to email or chat with a paid woman - but so far none respond or are online and probably gave up after the first few days. However if you like Chinese women, and money doesn't matter, they will be all over you because they all have free accounts. It is you that pay. Somehow they will pay at home for phenomenal glamour photos, but won't pay for a paid account. I wonder why they are all hot to meet an American guy? Maybe they are being subsidized to see who they can meet. About 10% of your free hits are from Columbia, Ukraine, Italy, and Mexico.
Dear Carl,
Thank you for your detailed feedback — it gives us a lot to work with. We want to clarify a few points to help others understand how DateMyAge operates:
Paid vs. Free Accounts: Members with paid membership get unlimited messaging with other Regular paying members, while free accounts have limited messaging until they upgrade. All profiles — paid or free — must pass verification, including email and photo checks.
Credit Usage: Credits are only used for communication with free members; messaging paid members is included in your subscription. This ensures members have a choice in how they spend.
Activity Levels: Sometimes members stop using their accounts or log in irregularly — that’s not something the platform can control, but we monitor inactive profiles and remove them regularly.
We encourage you to share any specific profiles or situations that seem suspicious at [email protected], so we can investigate and ensure compliance with our rules. Your insight helps us improve transparency for all members.
Signed up for dates, ended up in a weekly book club. Could be worse.

Video quality is better than my family's Zoom call, and that says a lot.
Dear Donna,
We’re thrilled to hear you’re enjoying the video quality! Our goal is to make virtual connections feel as close to in-person as possible, so it’s great that it even beats your family Zoom calls.

Took me sec to find filter button smh. But anyway like once you set up the filters it's very easy to find whatchu looking for...
Dear Claudia,
Thanks for sharing your experience! We understand that discovering all the tools can take a moment. The filter button can be a bit hidden at first glance. Glad to hear that once you set it up, it helped you navigate more easily.
If you ever want a quick walkthrough of all advanced search and filter options, our team is happy to guide you — just email [email protected].
I'd rather click here than shout over loud music downtown. Worth a few credits. I suffer from social anxiety and I don't like to go out very much. What's staying at home is very funny because I can talk to people on my own time and I don't have to worry about all the other people around.
Dear Oscar,
We’re really glad to hear that Datemyage.com offers you a comfortable space to connect with others. 💛 Our goal is to make meaningful conversations possible for everyone, especially those who prefer a calmer, more private environment over crowded places. Thank you for sharing how the platform helps you engage at your own pace — that’s exactly the kind of experience we hope to create.
Don't even think about. Too many red flags. Good looking guys with best qualifications and jobs, looking for dates in Site! Something is wrong!
Dear Nora,
We completely understand your concern. It’s important to feel confident that the people you meet online are genuine. Datemyage.com has a strict moderation system in place: every profile, message, and photo is screened to help prevent misuse and maintain authenticity. However, if a user ever seems suspicious, you can report or block them directly from their profile, and our team will promptly review the case. We truly value your vigilance and appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback. It helps us keep the community safer for everyone.
I am submitting this complaint regarding DateMyAge.com, an international dating website that presents itself as a legitimate matchmaking platform but engages in misleading, deceptive, and exploitative practices targeting paying customers.
Over a period of months, I spent approximately AUD $XXXXX interacting with a verified "free" member, relying in good faith on the company's published Communication Policy for free user (Section C. 5), which states:
"Free users have video calls with other members on their contact list at least twice per month."
Despite this explicit rule, the free verified user ("Haitao") refused every video call for 15 months while continuing to exchange messages, emails, and audio notes. The company failed to enforce its own policy or provide any remedy instead offering contradictory explanations after my formal complaint.
Key Issues
1) Policy Misrepresentation
The published policy uses mandatory wording (" have video calls") to assure paying customers of safety and verification. However, after my complaint, customer-service staff repeatedly redefined "have video calls" as "voluntary," "recommended," and "if comfortable."
These reinterpretations are not present anywhere on the public website. This constitutes post-facto distortion of contractual terms, misleading paying customers.
2) Non-Enforcement and Selective Shielding
Free and "featured" users are not required to comply with the very safeguards promoted to paying members. Many free users' profiles do not have the video-call function enabled, contradicting the written policy and allowing systemic non-compliance. Despite full chat records and timestamps, the company's "investigation" concluded "no breach of policy" — showing that enforcement is deliberately avoided.
3) Commercial Exploitation
DateMyAge's revenue model depends solely on paying members, not free users.
The platform benefits when free users prolong chat-based interactions, causing paying users to continuously purchase credits. This creates a direct financial incentive not to enforce safeguards such as video calls or verification.
4) Circular and Deflective Customer Support
I submitted two official cases (Case #******* and Case #*******) with full evidence — screenshots, messages, and timestamps. Instead of acting, the Customer Success Manager (Ahmed) closed the case by repeating new definitions of the policy. Subsequent responses from other representatives contradicted each other — one saying the case was "closed," another claiming it was being "investigated." This circular handling avoids accountability and prevents consumers from reaching any resolution or reimbursement.
5) Systemic Deception and Potential Fraud
Evidence indicates that many "free" or "featured" profiles are not genuine users, but possibly chat operators employed or incentivised by the platform to keep paying customers engaged.
Such activity constitutes misrepresentation and may breach international consumer and fraud laws.
6) Last but not the least:
DateMyAge's refund terms claim that credits can only be reimbursed or refunded if a verified free user is found to have lied during a video call. But here's the issue: free users' video-call functions are disabled, so there is no way for paying members to ever verify whether those "verified" users are genuine. This creates an impossible condition for refund — you can only be reimbursed if deception happens during a video call, yet the very feature required for that safeguard is unavailable or refused by the so-called verified users.
In practice, this means:
Free users avoid verification indefinitely, despite the published policy (Section C. 5) stating they "must have video calls with contacts at least twice per month."
Paying customers continue spending, believing interaction is genuine and compliant.
When deception is discovered, the company denies refund, claiming "mutual consent" and "privacy," even though the non-compliant user was never verified.
This is a designed loophole that protects the platform's revenue, not its members.
It's misleading, unethical, and breaches the basic principles of fair trading and consumer protection.
Dear Rose,
Thank you for sharing your detailed experience. We sincerely regret that your interactions on DateMyAge.com did not meet your expectations. We take every concern seriously and aim to provide a transparent and safe environment for all members.
Regarding video calls, our platform encourages users to engage in them to enhance connection and verification, but as with all interactions, participation is voluntary. This approach respects individual privacy and comfort, and while the policy encourages video calls, it cannot compel members to connect in real time. We understand this may have been unclear, and we apologize for any perceived inconsistency in communication.
We also want to clarify that our verification process and moderation system are designed to protect paying members from fraudulent activity. All profiles undergo review to maintain integrity, and suspicious behavior can be reported for immediate investigation. While no platform can completely eliminate misuse, your reports help us strengthen safeguards and improve enforcement.
Regarding support interactions, we acknowledge your frustration with case handling. Our team strives to provide consistent and thorough follow-up; however, cases may appear contradictory when escalated between teams. We are reviewing your experience to ensure future complaints are addressed more transparently and effectively.
Finally, refund eligibility is determined by adherence to our policy and the evidence available. While we cannot guarantee reimbursement when a user does not engage in video calls, we review each case individually. We encourage you to contact [email protected] with any unresolved concerns so we can reassess your situation directly.
We value your feedback, and it will be instrumental in improving clarity, enforcement, and member experience moving forward.
As soon as the account was created, I was flooded by a stream of obviously fake profiles. These profiles are very easy to spot, but blocking each one took a lot of time, because the app is very slow, & the blocking function didn't even work for some of them, even on the website. They could easily clean up their own app/ website themselves, by creating an account & getting flooded by the fake profiles. It should show you only people based on your location.
It kept switching my city to the entire country, which is supremely annoying & antiproductive. I was very surprised to see it let me put in just the city/ specify the city, on the website, eventually.
Dear Gitonga,
We truly understand how discouraging it feels to encounter profiles that don’t seem genuine, and we appreciate you bringing these details to our attention. Our moderation team is actively refining our verification filters to prevent inauthentic activity, and your feedback helps us prioritize that effort. Regarding location accuracy, the issue you experienced with the city resetting to the wider region is known, and our developers are already finding ways to improve local match display.
Please contact us at [email protected] with the email linked to your account so we can review the blocking issue directly and make sure your settings reflect your preferred city only. Your experience should feel real, relevant, and easy and we’re determined to get it there.
When i am on this app it does everything to take credits from me by disrupting the app by shutting it down and then me starting back up
Dear Norma,
Hello, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry you experienced interruptions while using the app. DateMyAge.com does not charge credits for app restarts, and all purchases are processed securely through your selected payment method. We recommend reviewing your purchase history in the app settings, and if you notice any unexpected charges, please contact our support team with the receipt attached so we can investigate promptly.
I was sent nearly 40 "interested ladies," all of whom were located in a small neighborhood in my hometown. When I questioned this, the next 30 plus were from a different small neighborhood; they were all too good-looking to come from these neighborhoods. I canceled the membership, then a couple of weeks later, I logged in to confirm the cancellation, and the site automatically charged my card as if I had signed up again. There is no history of charges in the admin-that also would tell you the site is a scam.
Dear Lee,
Hello, thank you for sharing your experience. We understand your concern regarding repeated member suggestions from nearby areas. DateMyAge.com uses an algorithm that may prioritize profiles near your location to increase connection chances, but all profiles are verified according to our internal standards. Regarding the charge after cancellation, please note that logging in does not automatically reactivate membership, any unexpected charges should be reported with your payment proof so our billing team can investigate and correct any errors promptly. Your feedback helps us improve clarity and transparency in these processes.
The minute you join DateMyAge you expose yourself to rip off and utter scam. It's a totally fraudulent business run with military precision: lots of paid "translators" and women providing DateMyAge with their photos for commission. It is a well-polished scam, they have ripped off thousands of unsuspecting men. I don't know why they are still in business and how they manage to get away with scamming so many people.
Dear Klaus,
We’re sorry you feel the platform operates this way. To clarify, DateMyAge does not hire “chatters” or pay members to communicate; all profiles must pass verification before being visible. Translators are only available if two members don’t share a common language, and that is disclosed. While conversations can remain online for safety reasons, members are free to stop any exchange they find unhelpful. If you’ve encountered accounts you believe are misusing the service, please report them through the profile tools so our moderation team can investigate and take action.
This summary of what the site is about. Please flag for others This site is scam!
"actors" with attractive profiles send you scripted romantic, flattering letters. If you look closely, the "actors" are the people the are only after your cash which they get through chatting and paid messages exchange
They insist that you stay in the app to chat them giving an ilusion of sincerity in writing you. I figured this out, to meet people through the site you had to scroll past all of the "Free users" section of profiles which make you wonder what percentage is are the people who actually paying money to find a connection. Many features require purchasing credits, which can lead to higher costs compared to traditional subscription models. The costs associated with using credits is ubnormal every tab is a charged the authenticity of profiles you interact with is ot of the wolrd whee thing seem `stary' The profiles are fake, the messaging is all fake and they have bots who interact with u so you use you credits.
Who ever is running this site should be ashamed of himself for making money out of defrauding people
Every person I "met" on this app would lead me on and keep asking questions. All tease and fantasy. Nothing real.
Dear Monica,
Thank you for your candid feedback. At DateMyAge.com, we are dedicated to fostering real connections and strictly prohibit any fraudulent activity or use of bots for interaction. Our credit system supports premium features clearly outlined before purchase, designed to enhance your experience. We encourage you to report any suspicious profiles directly to our support team at [email protected] along with relevant details so we can investigate thoroughly. Your trust is vital, and we continuously work to ensure a safe, authentic environment for all members.
Hey guys! Just now figured out the scam. If I am slow on the uptake I apologize but it never hurts to give information if you have it. If you see that a profile is a "Free User". It means they get to use the site for free and they have these rules that they have to follow. They have to answer 60% of the chat requests that they receive. They are instructor to NEVER give out any personal information, which will clue you in as to their sincerity in writing you. Once I figured this out, I realized IF you still wanted to meet people through the site you had to scroll past all of the "Free users" and get into the section of profiles where the people were actually payihg money to find a connection. That is so pathetic and actually very sad. What is the state of this world?
Dear Renee,
Thank you for your feedback. At DateMyAge.com, we strive to create a safe and genuine environment where members can explore meaningful connections. Certain communication guidelines are in place to protect everyone’s privacy and security. We encourage you to focus on verified profiles and invite you to contact our support team if you need help or have any questions. Your experience matters to us, and we’re committed to making it as authentic as possible.
You are deluged with messages from free users who have no interest in a relationship. The free users are encouraged to keep you chatting to generate income for the website. Tons of really ugly pacific Islanders with try to chat.
Dear Kurt,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience hasn't met your expectations. At DateMyAge, we are committed to fostering genuine and respectful connections among all members, regardless of background.
We continuously monitor user activity to ensure authenticity and meaningful engagement. If you ever feel that someone is not genuinely interested in a relationship or is violating our guidelines, please use the report feature so our moderation team can take appropriate action.
We value all users equally and do not tolerate any form of discrimination or disrespect. Your input is important and helps us improve the quality of our service.
Answer: It seems they are hiring professional chatters that are commission base paid. I am reporting them to FBI
Answer: They charge for everything, and the person I was having the conversation with, would not want to exchange anything that would allow to continue a different way of communicating such as what usually happens after feeling comfortable, texting, phone conversation,ECT.,she is only looking out for this site
Answer: Because it is a scam. Some profiles are online 24 hrs.a day. Others list gifts they want. Some gaul. May even be AI generated scam.
Answer: That is the Scam the get paid the more credits they can get you to buy. The entire site is a scam I promise don't waste your money. Dating.com is their other site and it's the same. It's sad all the scammers out there.
Answer: No they only will give you the very minimum info on them and they just keep sending you emails that cost the most to read and send. Their job is to get you to buy credits and they say all the right things to keep you interested.
Answer: They never give refunds it's a scam site the people you talk to are employees the more money you spend the better money they make
Answer: From my experience as a paying member over 15 months, I learned that the most important thing is to check how the platform verifies identity in practice not just in policy. Here’s what I recommend other users do before investing time or money: 1. Ask directly for a video call early A genuine person will usually agree to a quick call, even a short one. If video calls are always avoided but emotional conversations continue and that’s a red flag. 2. Check the profile ID across platforms If the same member appears on multiple affiliated sites with the same photos, bio, and ID, it may suggest profile replication across a shared database. That doesn’t automatically mean they’re fake but it does mean the platform should clearly explain how profiles are created and verified. Remember, real people are not afraid of basic transparency Even a 2-minute call or voice message often reveals everything.
Answer: Hi David, When it comes to dating and relationships, personal preferences vary widely, and they're influenced by individual experiences, interests, and values rather than broad generalizations based on nationality or background. People from all over the world, including Europe and the U.S., form meaningful connections with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds, including Nigerian men. At the end of the day, attraction is based on personality, shared values, and mutual respect. While some may have certain preferences, others might be more focused on qualities like kindness, intelligence, sense of humor, and life goals. It's important not to get discouraged by stereotypes—authentic connections are built on getting to know each other beyond nationalities and appearances. If you're interested in dating someone from a different background, it's always best to engage openly and honestly and to find common ground.
