Could not solve a technical issue and of course they refused a refund. There goes $30 for nothing but a headache.
Has the potential offering things that Netflix doesn't have but they rip you off, so I am cancelling after writing this review.
Bell Canada sucks big floppy donkey $#*!, and their brain child, Crave TV is $#*!ing useless. I've had no problems with watching Crave on my phone, but, as soon as I cast it to my TV (65" Sony 4K) the $#*! app decides that at least once during the show, itll crash, and force me to restart. This isnt a once in a while problem, but, EVERY single $#*!ing time, regardless of the time of day, or program. My internet is through Cogeco, whose techies say it's not my connection that's the issue. This was confirmed when I streamed Netflix flawlessly, binge watching a season of Animal Kingdom. Crave is a waste of money, and all Bell Canada employees should be hung by their ball sacks and bologna patches from rusty hooks. $#*! you, Bell. Rot in mother$#*!ing hell. Cancelling subscription to Crave, and staying with Netflix. I urge all who read this to do the same. Show these $#*! gobblers Canadians will not tolerate a third rate streaming service because we are such nice folks, and dare not rock the boat. $#*! rocking the boat, I just sank that $#*!. Eat a $#*!, Bell Canada, and take your Crave TV with you.
We are with Shaw. They partnered with Crave. Our recent experience has left us moving away from Shaw for premium programming and moving to Netflix. Bravo Shaw. Not.
Here's what happened: We started binge watching Homeland. Finished episode 6 of season 2 on Friday night. Tuned in on Saturday to find out all of Season 2 had been wiped out. Ok, we said. We'll move onto Season 3. Started Season 3 on Saturday and now, 4 days later Season 3 AND Season 4 are gone! What is that? We're done with Crave. Who the hell launches a service this poor? Bell Media. That's who.
The shows on the service are good, but its frustrating to use. Chrome is the only browser it likes, which kills me. It treats every browser on the same computer as multiple logins. You really need to up your game with the user experience, not sure I will keep this
Hands down the worst app ever made.
Crashes on Samsung every time you use it.
You can't delete it and reinstall.
You have to reset your smart hub and then load all passwords for all apps.

Laggy, Buggy, and now has altogether stopped working on our Samsung Smart tv will not Even load or open. Not worth paying forso bad it would be frustrating even for free!

Honestly, I never had any issues with Crave before the first episode of the last season of GOT. The ap worked fine, it showed my cravings. First 2 episodes I could not start live. I learned that I had to watch them after the live stream on my Samsung smart tv. Now in the last few days, I have had to sign out and back in every time I turn it on. Some times it just spins and spins so I give up. BUT! The strange thing is, the ap works fine on my Chromecast on my older Sharp tv. Works fine but the interface is different in that my cravings is missing. Tbh, the picture is better on the Sharp, too. I wish they would fix it, have been a satisfied customer for the past year or so. Will likely cancel after I finish the Sopranos in 2 more episodes.
After watching GoT episodes I will cancel and I hope they go out of business. Errors playing episodes on Samsung Smart TV. Horrible customer service
Nothing but errors and constant issues. Tech support was suppose to call me back in an hour and it has been a week. Not even worth the time or effort. Most the times I cant even get the app to load on my tv so it is just a waste of money and thry can't be bothered to call me back to try to resolve the issue. They need shut down or a class action law suit stuffed up their $#*! for such poor service at this point. They should be held accountable.
This app would be great with the titles available. Unfortunately, there are some major problems that cannot be overlooked.
1. You cannot fast forward or rewind. At least not on a Samsung Smart TV
2. You cannot resume your episode midway through so if you don't finish it you have to watch it all over again.
3. When you start an episode or movie the resolution is crap for some mysterious reason and takes a fair amount of time to resolve.
4. With the most recent update, none of the above issues have been fixed but now the tracking bar which was staying up far to long in the first place, won't go away at all.
5. For some reason I now have no my cravings' area so now have to search shows every time I want to resume a season.
There is more but I've wasted enough time on this already.
What a joke of a service. It really feels like they are not aware their competitors have smooth running programs.
So expensive and honestly not worth it. It signed me out of my Xbox three times this weekend. The app also just closes which wouldn't be a big deal if it didn't take forever to load again. Sometimes the screen also goes black and says "sorry for the inconvenience" or something like that. Thought it might be my internet but Netflix works fine. And they changed all the passcodes for my accounts so I had to go online and remove them. Definitely going to cancel my subscription.
I paid for a Crave subscription so that I could legally watch Game of Thrones instead of torrenting it. On the day of the first episode airing, we missed the livestream and instead watched the episode straight from the site after the stream was finished. I imagine there were millions of others doing the same thing, so the service was SO LAGGY that it was unwatchable, i PAID for this service, and here I am with 10 guests over watching the video buffer for 10 minutes before giving up. We ended up torrenting the episode instead and it was downloaded in 5 minutes in HIGHER QUALITY THAN CRAVE STREAMS! I am legitimately embarrassed to have paid for this service and will never, ever be returning to it.
These Donkeys keep adding "addons" to watch their different programs. $9.99 for basic crave another $9.99 for HBO an Movies and another $5.99 for a Starz add on. You can view all the options and then click on somthing you like, nope, cant watch this, need an addon. They use this method to try an extort you into spending more money to watch. Netflix and Prime are cheaper, and their apps dont suck as much. Staying logged into your account on xbox one is a nightmare. And it crashes often. Sometimes before or, Mid show or right after you watch one episode of a series. Reload and find your series again and hopefully you dont have to log in again. Dont waste your time with this.
Ive never reviewed anything in my life, but the Crave is the worst app I've ever used, I needed to express my anger. Crashes, slow, tells me I don't have an active sub half the time when nothing has changed. Layout seems ok at first but it isnt. An absolute embarrassment to modern media.
Its the worst app trying to use on the xbox one is a nightmare. I like the shows on it but its soooooo bad to use. It wont work half the time I try and log in
Cant watch one movie without 5 errors popping up throughout. Accidentally bought a years worth of it. Highly do not recommend absolute piece of $#*!.
Crave updated their platform yesterday but made it worse than previous. Not user friendly, service cuts out, freezes, can't navigate. Don't waste your time.
Interface is rubbish, customer service is atrocious, and I can't watch Starz on my Amazon Fire TV stick despite having a subscription to it because they haven't yet enabled the Amazon app for Starz. My Cravings list won't show all of my added content and the app crashes/freezes occasionally. Nothing to complain about in regards actual content offered.
Answer: I would not recommend getting CraveTV. Their customer support and technical support as well as quality is not upto the mark to compete with other service providers.
Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.

Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
