ConsumerLab.com provides independent test results, reviews, ratings and comparisons of vitamins, supplements, herb and nutrition products to consumers and healthcare providers.
ConsumerLab enjoys a strong reputation among its users, who appreciate the unbiased, detailed information it provides on supplements and health products. Customers frequently highlight the site’s thorough research and reliable testing, which empowers them to make informed decisions about their health. However, some users express frustration with the frequency of email updates and recent login issues related to cookie settings. Additionally, there are requests for broader product reviews, particularly from popular retailers. Overall, while the service is highly valued for its quality and reliability, there are areas for improvement in user experience and communication.

Very satisfied with the service! Objective, data-based product reviews help me identify better supplements.
General info useful but reviews on the same brands over and over are not.
Most of the time the brands I use are never reviewed. For instance, Protein Powder/ I use SUNWARRIER PROTEIN ORGANIC WARRIOR BLEND IN BOTH CHOCOLAT AND VANILLA. Sold at CVS.and Vitamin Shoppe Never shows up in your reviews. Very annoying.
Also KOS protein powder, same, You NEVER review it!
Magnesium Taurate capsules from Cardiovascular Researcch. No reviews by you!
Probably wont renew if you continue to ignore these popular items
Love the info but the site is difficult to use. I'll click wanting to read additional info Top Picks or a report.
The site has me re-enter sign in again & then not take me to specific info I requested
I get frustrated & exit the site when this happens.
Please fix this!
The product reviews get worse as you test obscure brands when most of us use the popular brands by known manufacturers. For instance, you have reviewed neither Nature's Bounty nor Puritan's Pride in over two years. What's the mattter? PP was sold evidently, but it remains a popular brand. Also Vitamin World. I buy a lot of Vitamin Shoppe's products, nary a review. Swanson? Same. Shiff, same. GNC, sometimes.
For years I have relied on ConsumerLab to help me select health supplements that are safe, effective and appropriate. ConsumerLab is my go-to source for reliable information, and I actively promote its use to others. Every supplement I've bought has to have been checked and rated by ConsumerLab. I choose cocoa, green tea, extra-virgin olive oil, canned fish, and many other products based on CL recommendations.
We appreciate your support, Kathrynne. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review.
As a long-time subscriber, i appreciate Consumer Lab because they don't just publish the headlines/bottom line behind the scientific study, they cite whether the research was performed on animals or people, how many participants started, and type of study—cross blind, double blind, observation, etc. I'M sure more studies are available, but I feel they do a good job of covering most of the medical journals.
We're glad to hear that ConsumerLab.com is helpful to you, Judi. Thank you for your review!
My experience has always been a bit TMI - however the information/recommendations you provide are reliable and second to none.
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
I always consult Consumer Lab prior to purchasing supplements and have also
Learned a great deal from the articles and videos they share with subscribers on a variety of
Health-related topics.
Thank you for that nice review, Judy. Thanks for your support. We're glad that you appreciate our work.
I made a request to unsubscribe, but they did not respond. As soon as you see this article, we hope you will respond to your subscription cancellation request.
I rarely purchase a supplement without consulting the Consumer Lab website. With no regulations in place to govern the validity of the content of supplements, it's pretty much a shot in the dark to know if you are swallowing the correct dosage of your supplement, free of contamination, etc. Consumer Lab provides a much needed service to its members.
I would like to see more chewable and liquid versions of supplements reviewed since I cannot swallow those large pills. I often end up to taking more pills at a smaller dosage to get to the actual dosage that is effective.
We're glad to have you as a member, Mariette! Thanks for your review. You can always feel free, as can any member, to shoot us suggestions and questions that we might answer in our CL Answers section.
I use Consumer Lab all the time to make purchase decisions on supplements and food items. Found it really useful during worst of COVID for information on everything relevant. I trust CL.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! We appreciate your support and are happy you find our information useful.
Unbiased information on anything these days is a real blessing. Keep up the good work and continue to give us information on safe supplements etc. The fact that cost is considered when recommending products is important to some of us. I am always looking for easy to swallow or liquid supplements because of a throat condition.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Marion!
The content of your reviews is excellent. However, your review pages become increasingly long as information is added, and there is no "Back to Top" feature available.
I'm very grateful for ConsumerLab. I check your product reviews before I buy vitamins, supplements, protein powder, chocolate bars. Your reviews have altered what I buy most of the time I go shopping.
That is great to hear, Denise! Thank you very much for sharing that,. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
But... too much at one time... would prefer one or two items at a time.
The reviews are honest, confirmed with science, not influenced by companies and always providing important information.
Thank you very much for sharing that, Roni. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support!
The information provided by ConsumerLab.com is most helpful. Notable examples are information on supplements to prevent, reduce the risk of or treat Kidney stones, Macular Degeneration, and also the Coronavirus. There are times when they review supplements and conditions for which I would never have thought to look up information, and the information proves to be both interesting and helpful. I will continue to subscribe to this worthwhile report.
Before starting any new supplement, I always check with consumerlab.com to see if they have ratings for it and which ones pass or fail. Sometimes a brand available to me wasn't tested so I have to just pick one as long as it's not one that's not been approved - but I try to pick one that has been approved if I can find it. I trust their ratings, and I appreciate all the info about each supplement - like the different forms it may come in and the pros and cons of each.
Thanks for your review, Linda. We appreciate your support!. You can always feel free, as can any member, to shoot us suggestions for products you would like us to test.
Well researched reviews, independent evaluation of supplement contents which reveal contaminants, lack of accurate labeling of contents, problems with delivery. I use personally and professionally as a physician for my recommendations to my family, patients, peers.
Thank you for posting that nice review. We're very glad to know that our information is helpful you and many others!
Signing in to the website doesn't always take me to a review I click on initially thru the email.
A little frustrating

Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
Answer: Yes, we recently published a new report on turmeric and curcumin supplements as well as turmeric spice (ground root powders) at https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/turmeric-curcumin-supplements-spice-review/turmeric/
Answer: Hi Barbara - You can give a gift membership to ConsumerLab.com from this page: https://www.consumerlab.com/giftcerts/. We have a link to this at the bottom of every page, but the font is a bit small. Hope that helps.
