I am a mother of two Autistic children. Connections Academy has not only been accommodating and patient during this difficult, yet exciting adventure. They've gone above and beyond at every chance possible to help us attain the foundation for a strong and hopeful future for our entire family. Thank you for leaving a review about Great River Connections Academy, Kimberly! We appreciate it! ~Alexis
We were hesitant at first to enroll in this school, but we decided to give it a try. In fact, we were shocked by the amount of organization and attention on the part of the administrators and teachers, who provided us with the necessary assistance. My child now had enough time to learn and be disciplined with school schedules. Which made his life much easier. The program is easy to use and there are continuous trainings for parents, which makes the work easy, and that will help the students to achieve their goals. Thanks to everyone who participated to create this amazing school program.
We're thrilled to hear that we've exceeded your expectations, Hadda! We hope you have an amazing rest of the school year! ~Alexis
Lots of opportunities to meet up with school mates. No penalty if you can't make it. Convenient test sites. Complete access to grades. My child is more focused on learning without distractions.

Our experience has been one without anything confusing because everyone is all there to help you or lead you to whom you need to speak with. My son has done better here than any other schools as his curriculum is also easy to follow. We made a great choice picking Georgia Connections Academy!

Simple, fast and easy is the enrollment process for the
We're glad that you had a positive experience with the enrollment process, Ludivina! Thank you for your review! ~Alexis
My student is in 9th grade right now. He has trouble focusing and without connections Academy I don't think he would have stayed with his own age/grade range. The curriculum is sometimes a bit in depth, but for the most part, it is definitely doable. I also like the flexibility it gives with time to get lessons finished and being able to finish lessons ahead of time when needed. They also give plenty of time to catch up on overdue lessons.
We love that your student is thriving with Connections Academy, Jennifer! Thank you for sharing! ~Alexis
My daughter enrolled her freshman year and is currently finishing up her junior and looking forward to completing her senior year with MCA. Can not say enough positive about our experience. The curriculums, the teachers, the advisors and overall support has been nothing short of amazing. They continue to amaze me each year.
This is great to see, Heather! We hope that your daughter has an amazing senior year next school year! ~Alexis

From before school started to right this very moment my experience with Maine Connections Academy has been excellent. The communication between staff and student as well as staff and parent/caretaker is extraordinary. I've NEVER been so informed before, from absences to information on my child's work and grades. I am impressed about the fact that I have to submit work and attendance is also reported by the parent. Every step of the process is amazing. Our counselor and teachers are great, informative and caring.
We're so happy to hear that you feel informed at Maine Connections Academy, Faylene! Thank you for your review! ~Alexis

We were late getting our daughter enrolled to Connections Academy but everyone jumped in ready to help us. My daughter has had such a great experience. She's enjoyed her first year of homeschooling and looking forward to her next year.
Thank you, Angela! We're so happy to hear that your daughter was supported even with starting late! ~Alexis
I like the workload for my middle schooler, my freshman has a more extensive reading workload but the only complaint I have is the teachers could probably be a little more accessible. Hopefully next year will be better in that regard.
Hi Ebony, Thank you for your review! We'll forward your concerns about the teachers to our administrators so we can work on improving! ~Alexis

Thank you for your review, Howard! We're glad to hear that the staff at Nevada Connections Academy had such a positive impact on your student! ~Alexis
My 10 year old daughter started 5th grade with Connections Academy, because of bullying, lack of a positive environment, and lack of learning in her brick and mortar school. Connections Academy means that the parent is more involved and knows what is going on. I see what my child is learning and where she is struggling. I am actually able to help her. My child was depressed in a brick and mortar school. As our first year at Connections Academy went on, she is happier and has actually started to say that she is no longer depressed. High marks for Connections Academy, because my child is now in a positive environment where she is able to learn. Her teacher, Mr. Dominick, is phenomenal with the children. He works very hard to virtually give the children social times as well as helping them when they have trouble with school work. This school is perfect for the self-starter, but it also fits well for a child who isn't a self-starter as long as the parent is able and willing to help the child through until they can learn to be more responsible. I feel very supported by the school as a parent.
We're sorry to hear that your student had such a difficult time at her local school, but we're so happy to hear that she's doing so well with us! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and leave a review! ~Alexis
Answer: Work at your own pace is the biggest lie out there. Supplies are usually quick to arrive though.
Answer: That is a very good question Dee. We were drawn in with that promise as well. They use exampmes of child athletes and child actors (at least they did when we were going through their website looking for schooling options) as examples of how flexible their program is but we found it to be a very different experience.
Answer: Do not put your child in this program i hate it i switched to connexus i could get more time in the gym and work out i used to spend five hours in the gym in normal school but now im only limited to one hour a day because i have so much work.the teachers never respond and its horrible they dont help me and when im at gym they call then i cant i pick up so they call my parents who are at work and will get in trouble if on there phones. I hate tis school and everyone in it and your kids will to so DO NOT DO IT! 1111
Answer: Attendance is more important to the school keeping it's Charter, than making sure a student is truly on track academically. The School has no communication skills, which is why it probably attracts lazy teachers.
Answer: I find that people take the time to vent about bad experiences rather than take the time to write reviews for good experiences. If things are working, why scour the internet for reviews. Every kiddo/parent will have a different experience with Connections Academy. Like any school program, it's not going to be right for everyone, not everyone will like a teacher, or administration or class... It's a rigorous school, not a homeschool program with lots of flexibility and curriculum that can be changed. It's working for my 7th grader, but it is hard and we wouldn't be enrolled if he didn't have me to sit by him 80% of the time. Otherwise he's getting an excellent education in Oregon and we love the teachers.
Answer: Yes, you can do you your at any time. I start at 5:00am and finish at 11:00am.
Answer: Maybe once a month. The student might get a phone call from his or her homeroom teacher on a monthly basis. Other than that, unless you or the student contact the teacher individually, then the interaction is done as a whole in the Live Lesson rooms. And so much outside stuff goes on during Live Lessons, the students do not get a lot out of them.
Answer: Hi Tina, Teachers schedule LiveLesson sessions (usually one per subject per day), and other work is done independently. Teachers are available outside of the virtual classroom for more support if needed. Outside of the LiveLesson sessions, work is done independently, and students can typically complete their schoolwork any time of the day, any day of the week. ~Alexis
Answer: Hi Malorie, Teachers schedule LiveLesson sessions (usually one per subject per week), and other work is done independently. Teachers are available outside of the virtual classroom for more support if needed. In general, there is no set time to log in outside of the LiveLesson sessions, so students can typically work any time of the day, any day of the week. For information specific to the school(s) in your state, please email us at [email protected]. Thanks! ~Alexis
