I don't even know where to begin. I initially thought the company was good based on the first part of my move, I didn't realize that the reason it went smoothly was because it was a very simple move that didn't require the company providing any documents such as liability insurance and it was a move into storage. The second part of the same move is where it all went to hell. I was moving into a condo in NYC, of course this means more rules and regulations, as well as "paperwork" that I was told by my moving agent, was "standard". Well they were completely unable to get it together and follow simple instructions to provide the paperwork to the building management as instructed via email in plain English, my moving manager was just as frustrated as I was with trying to figure out what was so difficult with submitting the documents to the condo. In the end, my move was delayed by two weeks and I almost lost the apartment because of all the back and forth and email traffic between myself, the building management and the moving company. The stress they added to an already EXTREMELY stressful move was beyond words van describe. And if this wasn't enough, when I finally did get moved into the new apartment, I discovered that multiple expensive items had been irreparably damaged, there were grease stains all over my $5000 couch which wasn't appropriatetly covered for the move, and the fabric was also ripped. As if this wasn't bad enough, come to find out, they cracked the screen of my $6000 4 UHD TV. Multiple other smaller items were also destroyed, all one of a kind porcelain and glass items. I was reimburse $37 for all the damages. I am perplexed that this company is still out there and not bankrupt from law suits.

I highly recommend Colonial for long distance cross county moves. Customer service was exceptional. Best customer service experience. Reps were very helpful and very easy to contact. My main contact was Tracy, she said she was a Rep, but her knowledge and follow-up, makes me think she is one of the owners of the company. Again, I highly recommend Colonial. My major concern was moving a large safe, it arrived in perfect condition. I was very happy. My move was from NJ to AZ.

It was a difficult move and any issues that I had were followed up with and ultimately resolved. I would recommend Colonial based on the customer service with follow up.

Everyone was very polite and helpful, from getting a quote and setting up the pickup and delivery. The team on the ground in California was amazing, taking the time to allow me to sort out what was going to Florida and what was staying behind, as well as moving boxes and furniture in and out of the storage facility. The team in Florida was just as great, setting up my bed and putting boxes and bins in the patio area. Thank you all!

Pros: movers were on time and delivery date was within the given parameters. Cons: one of the case managers was extremely rude to me on the phone. I almost couldn't believe it, but he was annoyed with my questions and actually mocked me on the phone. Also, case managers changed every few days - I think I had five CM's before we were through. Con: several of my items (shredder, file cabinet, desk) arrived damaged. I didn't file a claim as they didn't reach the level of the high deductible.

This was our first time using a moving company and our first move in 43 years. Everybody was great from our initial contact to our direct contact throughout the move to the company that did the actual move. Due to the extensive contact, their encouragement to let them know if we added anything, etc., we were over- item from the estimate, 60 pounds over estimated, but we were under in the amount of packing required, so the cost was less than estimated. Despite a one week delay due to the biggest snowstorm in the northwest and southwest, we were very pleased. They could not control the weather. They contacted us several times to update us about the van's progress.

Lamps damaged, paintings torn, no additional insurance so the items discussed were not paid for. The most damaged item was my bose player which was totally dismissed in the conversations that I had with your contacts. Because of the virus and my husband being ill, I was unable to follow the packers around to make certain that unnecessary items were not packed, like news papers, boxes of trash etc. Everything was packed in one day but I was not afforded the time to go over both floors with the man that was supervising the packing. Even he admitted that i probably would not need so many of the items packed. Would not use you again nor would I suggest to anyone else that they use you. It will be a year in May since the move. Polite movers.
