The best fare price ever

When I decided to book a flight to visit my son on West Coast, cheapoair gave me the best fare. This is when I decided to book another flight to visit my home state in the Northeast. What a remarkable deal I received. I will continue to search this website when traveling.

The ticket was purchased online and everything was spelled correctly. I contacted the airline because I had to change the ticket to a one-way, which would cost $50. The airline was all ready to make the change, but could not do it because the name on the ticket was misspelled. The airline told me to contact CheapOAir directly (although, oddly, their system said the ticket was purchased through Travel Long). The airline said after the name was changed, CheapO should be able to make the switch to one-way. The airline also said that I would probably be told I would have to pay a $200 change fee; if so, I should ask for a supervisor. I called Cheap O Air immediately after. The first person I spoke to said he could not help me and transferred me. The second person said he could do the name change, put me on hold (no hold music), and then the call disconnected after nearly 15 minutes. The third person (new phone call) I spoke with told me the change would be $200. I politely asked for a supervisor. I was told that "names do not matter on domestic flights" and he would not transfer me until "I changed my attitude." He also said I "did not understand the travel industry" and if I wanted to call the airline on my other line and conference him in, he would explain to the airline how things worked! I finally got him to transfer me - or so I thought. After a hold of nearly 20 minutes (with music this time), what sounded like the same agent returned. He did not give a name or an apology. He told me the one-way ticket cost less than the round-trip, so the airline would be happy to rebook me for a $50 fee; however, the total cost would be $95. I asked why it was more and he could not explain it. He also said they could not do the change right now, but I could pay for it now, and they would take care of it in 3-4 hours after the name change showed on both the ticket and itinerary (I guess names do matter!). I told him to forget it and I would work directly with the airline. In total, I was on the phone with them over an hour to fix their typo, and I still have to call the airline to get the one-way ticket issued. I will never use CheapOAir again!

I have booked through this site many times over the past 3 years. However this time is has been a nightmare. I booked a flight that departed at 7:30am. 5 days after booking that flight, I received an email stating the the flight time had been changed to depart at 6:00am and that I needed to accept the change or reject the change and someone would contact me to resolve the issue. Since my arrival into that city would be at 6:00am, I rejected the change... and waited for 5 days for a response. I chatted with CS department numerous times over the next 5 days and was always told that someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. No calls. Finally after 7 days I received a voice mail from a person that was incoherent about calling a number and cancelling the reservation. I call the next day and was transferred 3 times and disconnected from the call. After I called back again, I was told that I must accept the change because there are no other flights with that airline. I was also told that cancellation is not an option. So I am in quite a position. I have tickets for a flight that I am unable to make because the airline changed the flight times and CheapOAir is not helping at all. I have spoken to 8 people this morning and still nothing resolved. I have asked to be escalated to a supervisor and still nothing.

I found Cheapoair seeking cheap flights. I was a little worried with all of the scams out there. However, my experience was no scam. My flights were confirmed and by far cheaper than any other flights available. Not only has all of my experiences using this site be more than satisfactory... A representative called to make sure all went well! Thank you for your positive experience! And thank you Robin Gottschalk for the pleasant follow up call! That is what I call excellent customer service!

Save yourself the trouble

Stay far away this place. You will regret it. My flight booked on Oct 31 and it is now Dec 24 My flight has been changed three times. They will blame it on the airlines yet, if you go to other sites you'll see the flight is still there. They just dont book you and you get bumped. The latest change today isn't even listed. Meaning when you go to the itinerary it isn't even showing a change. My total time including layover has also increased 24 hours with them. If I have one more problem I will lodge a complaint with the better business bureau. Stay away from these rip offs. I found out the other day people in the military say the same thing.

Dear Michael, our apologies for the inconvenience the airline has caused in changes in their operations. As a travel agency, we have no control over the changes the airline makes in their schedules, and we can only provide you with the options that they present to you for the new flights. There is a misconception that travel agencies have the say in switching customer's flights around, and placing them on less than desirable options, but that is not the case. CheapOair is not the end provider, nor do we have a say. We can certainly go back to the airline and check if there are any other flights they have that will work for you, but it's not guaranteed they will.

I purchased a ticket to Mexico through Cheap O Air. My husband was hospitalized, and I wanted to cancel and get a credit for later travel. I had also purchased Travel Insurance. The representative was rude and extremely arrogant. I had also purchased other tickets for this vacation... directly through the airlines,. And it was a breeze receiving a credit to be used within the year. In addition to being rude... I was told that I had to pay a $50 fee up front to cancel, and lose another $59 for changing the flight. This $50 was an additional upfront fee... not deducted from the already paid ticket. I had used them several times before, but I never had to cancel or reschedule a flight. I can honestly say. It was by far the worst experience customer service experience I have ever had... ever! Needless to say... I will never use them ever again... and I strongly suggest that the company use American Representatives for customer service to Americans... the rudeness was appalling! I was not doing them a favor... I was the paying customer., A customer service department ONLY exists to service the customer, and maintain the integrity of the company. If this is so... why do you even exist? The man I spoke to sounded like he hated his job, and did not want to even be bothered. As an international traveler who travels 50-60 thousands miles a year... they just lost my business... FOREVER!

Booked round trip for $751 after 2 days went down to $704 and when checked direct with the airline website find it for $684 they tick people into buying and after the 24 hours they offer to make changes they offer less prices so you can not get refund for the defirrance
They customer service instead of trying to sole the problem they hang-up on me tow times so they get ride of the problem worse customer service I ever experienced
Will never trust them again and please do not as they trick people into getting the more money for the same ticket

Amr, after reviewing the reservation and details of your call, you contacted us 2 days after the booking was done. The agent advised you that our bpg is within 24 hours of making a reservation, and that you needed to contact us and provide screen shots of the lower fare and flights that you found, and forward in an email. We never received that from you within the 24 hours. We also checked yesterday for a lower fare, and the flights you have on Egypt air, are no where near the 704.00 price you paid, but well over 900.00 now. Amazing Customer Service

I have used Cheap O Air multiple times now and I always receive amazing service. From the ease of the site to the actual customer service reps. I am always treated well and get any of the help that I need. The part I like the most is that they always follow up with me after my flight to make sure that everything went smoothly. I appreciate the ease of my travel. I always recommend Cheap O Air to all of my friends and family.

I called them on the phone and I waited for 30 minutes to actually have one person to help me. Then she was so annoyed by me and sounded like she doesn't want to be there. Plus, she didn't even answer my question. It was the worst experience ever. Not only she didn't help me out, but she also wasted my time! I don't ever want to book a flight with them anymore!

Cheapoair? Ripoffair

The rep from cheapoair lied to us about boarding a passenger that is wheel chair bound. He said there was no problem in flying my wife's dad from little rock Arkansas to Denver colo till she calls united to conferm and thay said no and dont bother with there ticket insurence thay wont refund half of the ticket price if any cause its under reveiw DO NOT USE CHEAPOAIR A BUNCH OF CROOKS stick to another reputable company!

Dear Randy, the calls have been reviewed and it was determined that your wife did not say he had to sit in his own wheelchair on the plane, she said he has to use his own wheelchair. If you have traveled often than it is entirely impossible that there is no space for a wheelchair in an aisle or elsewhere. The agent did describe 3 types of wheelchair service, including does the passenger need to be carried to his seat, or can he walk,. Very sorry for the miscommunication, but the airline refused to refund the non refundable ticket and they have the final say, as they are the end provider.

Total waste of $347 for a one way ticket from Colorado Springs to DFW. I went to GOOGLEFLIGHTS.COM and booked a flight for $58.00These guys are a total scam. They won't even give me a credit or any money back. I have used them several times and I will never use them in the future. Do your homework when dealing with this companyAnd hopefully they will speak better English in the future! Good luck..

Not worth it

We booked 4 months early to make sure there wouldn't be any hassle for our trip. I have to call them over and over regarding the changes on our itenerary ( arrival on first lay over is 10pm and we have to catch the next flight at 10:30pm which barely give us time to get out of the first plane and run to the next one). Agent I spoke to about this told me that half hour is enough to catch a connecting flight ( in an international airport) within 30mins, when we are suppose to check in atleast 2hrs before flight. Now, 10 days before our supposed flight, we do not hAve confirmation yet. Been calling them for the last two weeks regarding the changes on our itenerary and still couldn't give us confirmation. Agents I talked to would just tell me they would call me back at a certain day but they never did. It's been so stressful dealing with this company, I quit my job so we could go on a trip and now we aren't even sure if we have a flight to catch. The little money we save from going to Cheapoair instead of getting help from a local travel agent is not worth all the hassle and worries.

CheapOair attempted to help this customer through the SmartCustomer Resolution Center, but the customer did not respond

Laiza, at times the airlines under go several changes in their operations, and it could be even a day before a departure. As a travel agency we have no control over the changes, but can only help in getting a suitable flight that works for you with the help of the airline. As of Nov 29, your schedule change as you described was worked out, and you no longer have this connection that didn't work. We have reissued your ticket, and emailed the new confirmation on Nov 29. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

We purchased our flight to Italy for $985 for both my husband and I. We noticed that they only charged $800 to our credit card and our confirmation said the tickets had not been issued. We called them and they said it was our bank holding the funds. We called the bank and they said the funds were released and it even showed up on credit card online. We called united and they said that Cheap O Air hadn't paid them yet so our confirmation hadn't been ticketed. Cheap O air kept telling us we had not paid them yet we had a confirmation email and our seats. 24 hours later we received a credit back to our account and no one told us. We called and they said that united would not accept the tickets. Meanwhile they tripled in price not allowing us to go on our trip. So they deliberately held our money and didn't pay united and made us miss out on your trip. They scammed us and I will tell everyone I know to never book through them.

Their website is misleading and the customer service is terrible. I was promised a refund as they flight I booked was not the flight they sent me tickets for. I never got the refund. They didn't even try pretend they were concerned about customer satisfaction - they kept telling me that BA wound't refund them so why on earth should I be refunded and leave them out of pocket. They are scam artists.

Cheapoair insurance is a scam. I bought my ticket through them to fly back to the country. I have to change the date to fly back to the United States because I have to spend more days helping the missionary group i am with. Their insurance which is Tripmate told me, I need to have documented military order since I am in the military or documented medical reason in order to change the date. I do not have any of those because it's for a mission trip. I will have to buy another ticket if I want to change the date. I believe that's a rip off. You buy a ticket plus the insurance in case there is a change in the plan. Still, your trip is not covered with tripmate. That is sad. That is a rip off. I contacted American airlines. I am told I have to pay $200 plus the difference in price because my ticket was so cheap. Same thing happen with me with Southwest Airline. They held my ticket for a year for me. All I had to pay was the difference in price. American Airlines is not customer friendly. Don't waste your time buying ticket from them if you know you change the date. Do not waste your money buying their insurance which is tripmate. It's a rip off. You will not be covered.

It does not cover a change of plans, it is for medical emergencies, illness, and bag delays. Very sorry that the coverage was misinterpreted, but the agent did follow the proper guidelines regarding airline exchange policies.
