These people are horrendous. The communication is horrible my flight was cancelled and they made me pay to get another flight. Hours and hours taking on the phone with a so called supervisor that could not help. Stay away!
I received a call from CheapOair and spoke to a very helpful gentleman. He told me I would get a full refund in 3 to 10 working days. True to their word the money arrived 3 days later. I would recommend CheapOair to everyone. This came as great news as my wife was diagnosed 5 days ago with bowel cancer. This cheered me up heaps. Many thanks CheapOair.
I will never use Cheapoair again nor recommend them to anyone else. I cancelled the booking within 1 hour when I noticed they had changed to US$. Despite clearly stating (via site and customer services) Full refund if cancelled within 24 hours they took $250 NZ$ off me.
I recently had an awful experience with this business. I booked with them and was assured multiple times that I paid for checked luggage. When I checked with the airlines I was told that I would have to pay extra for checked bags. Also, after booking my $690 ticket with them I was told that I had to pay extra for seats! This is not true and I wonder how many people they swindle with their dishonesty. Beware and do NOT use Cheapoair. After filing 2 formal complaints against them my money was refunded.

Be really careful and read the very tiny print before purchasing tickets or insurance from these scam artists... they will find a reason to keep your money.
CheapOair has excellent customer service! Without recounting a long drawn-out saga, suffice it to say that CheapOair expeditiously resolved a conflict in my flight home and I could not be more satisfied. I will definitely be using CheapOair for future bookings.
Had a round trip flight booked 3 moths in advance and purchased travel insurance through them. The returning airline flight cancelled all flights on day I was supposed to return two and a half months in advance for "weather delays" I guess Frontier Airlines has a very advance Doppler system. I found another returning flight with another airline that would work, CheapAir Customer Service would not let me do a round trip ticket so I had to purchase two one-way tickets for the same weekend trip and cost me over $200 more for the tickets. All the customer service would offer was $10 off if I spent an additional $250 on tickets that I had already purchased. I have never been treated so badly by a company. I am disgusted and will NEVER book with this company again.
My flight from NY to Tokyo was cancelled and i need to buy another flight that cost me $1300 and im tried to get a refund of the flight that was $700 and nothing.
They just dont care, just stole your money and ignore your contacts.

They wrote their own review! I have spent a lot of valuable time (mine) trying to get this ridiculous organization to acknowledge fault and reimburse me for their error - and I am not even asking them to refund my airline tickets! I made the plane, along with my 80 year old mom and 23 year old son, but only just, and only after we had coughed up 165 Euros (approx. $270 Canadian) ON TOP of our airfare in order to "buy" our boarding passes. This organization is a joke, but the joke is on consumers who unwittingly trust them with travel plans, including special ones such as mine (when will my 80 year old Mom travel to Europe again?) Whatever you do, do NOT use this organization - always book directly with the airline you wish to use. REALLY TICKED IN CANADA
Horrible, horrible service. A bunch of crooks. Took hundreds of dollars for a flight which I had to cancel; they said I can use the amount as credit (after I paid the cancellation fee). Refused to honor this, even though I was within the time window allowed to use the credit (as per their own T&Cs which they refused to honor!). Worst customer service reps - wasted hours of my time; hung up on me; and verbally insulted me! Do not use and waste your money! You're better off booking with the airlines directly.
Booked a flight + insurance (travel protection plan) which stated cancel any time. My fault for not reading the small little details. I thought I got a good deal, but next time I will be taking my business somewhere else. Thank you but not thank you CheapOair.
The trip insurance does not mention cancel any time for a refund, However, you can cancel a reservation any time and contact the insurance company to file a claim. Insurance is not for a "change of plans", but medical emergencies, delayed flights, lost bags.
After booking I noticed my baby who will be sitting on my lap... WHO DOESNT HAVE A SEAT ON THE PLANE needed his middle names added to the itinerary to match his new passport. I was told it would be easy, so I called and fixed it. Then later ( the next day) realized I was CHARGED to re book the flights... all 4 of them. The charge went to my BOYFRIENDS credit card. HOW CAN YOU CHARGE HIS CARD WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION? And WHY CHARGE US WHEN ALL YOUR DOING IS CHANGING A NAME OF A PASSENGER WHO DOESNT EVEN HAVE A SEAT TO BEGIN WITH. If I would have known this is what would have happened I would have called Westjet and got their help for FREE. Or could have got my son a new passport for cheaper than what they charged me...
This is an AWFUL company! Watch out for THEM incorrectly putting your names on to your flight tickets and blaming you for it. My family now has to pay an additional $600 on top of the $1,200 spent on flights through cheapoair to change the names with the airline! And they arent even compensating is for ANY of it! So ridiculous. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY TO BOOK WITH THEM!
I received a call yesterday from a supervisor from their billing team (number was from New York) saying that they're willing to waive the $150 cancellation fee on the condition that i remove this complaint.

Update v2.0: In reply to CheapOair's response. So you do admit that your rep has contacted me with offer of a $150 refund. You are, however, not providing proof that the refund has taken place or that you acknowledge the agreement I had with your rep until now.
You deny holding the refund as leverage against me taking down this negative review, but I suppose it's impossible for either of us to prove since you refused to send me an brief email confirmation as agreed upon during 2 minutes call. Regular people do not have the time to review companies and provide updates unless there's a good reason to do so. I have done everything in my power to act in good faith, it's time you do so as well.
We would like to add that we are refunding the fee to the customer as a goodwill gesture, but has no bearing whether he updates his posting or any of the other sites.
Upon noticing a mistake on my travellers name, I immediately called in within 24 hours to request a change. They told me to email my passport information to this address that was given wrong. I called in again, and got another wrong email. Finally got the right one when I was able to reach a rep through their online messenger.
They told me that it will take 8 business days for them to even begin reviewing my concern. In 15 minutes, I was able to reach the Airline and they told me that it would be a very simple process that they won't even charge Cheapoair to help me. Now while I understand that there's a lead time, 8 business days is ludicrous. It's been over 48 hours and they still haven't even acknowledge receiving my email request. How do I know that they even received my information?
Back to the rep over their online messenger, he told me that cancelling my ticket will incur $260 and the refund will take THREE MONTHES. They're holding me hostage to accept their slow resolution (if it is to be resolved at all) with a completely unacceptable refund time.

I got air tickets for my wife and my baby in April/2018, for family issue (my baby girl passed away) couple off days before flight day I called to cheapOair and request to cancelled air tickets with proof of documents, more than 40 days gone and still waiting for refund, every time I calling to cheapOair, they said you have to wait, for how long no body knows.
I booked a USD 1800 ticket only because of the itinerary to make my flight short and they changed it and the new one asked me to stay 8 hours at an airport.
The only reason why I booked this flight and paid that amount was to have the shortest itinerary possible.
After I paid and flew to my destination they just randomly decided to change me to an earlier time that essentially costed $500 less when I booked my initial flight.
These people are thieves and liers, such a shame what this company has become. I; m making a law suit. Totally unethical company
The airline the customer was flying had a schedule change adding additional layover time because the original flight she had canceled. The airline AA provides the options, not CheapOair, we can only present it to the customer, if they decline, we go back to that individual airline and ask for something else. In this case we did, and found a flight more suitable for the customer, case closed.
I have used cheapoair several times, even though their customer service is below average, their prices were relatively okay.
Their refund policy is a fraud!
They convince you that you will get your credit refunded for future use with them if you cancel within 24 hours of your flight. But then they go around and charge you twice the money you paid for the original ticket! FRAUD
No wonder it's not BBB accredited.
Do yourself a favor and do not use this service. They booked me on the wrong flight and tried to blame it on the airline. I was standing in line to board the flight when I was told I was not on the manifest, yet I had a written confirmation from CheapOair that I was. They kept me on hold for 3 hours, (they hung up on me twice so I had to call back), trying to find out whose fault it was rather than rebooking me on a flight. I actually only saved a few dollars by using this service. I wish I had spent the extra $40 and booked directly with American. The best thing they can do for you mentally is to refer you to another service.
The airline had a change in schedules, and had not notified us, therefore we could not extend the changes to the customer in a timely manner. However, this was resolved that day! Our apologies for the inconvenience,.
Not really enthusiastic about using CheapOair again or referring them to anyone at this time, arrived at the airport only to discover that I had no confirmed seats on any of my flights despite my confirmation email from CheapOair showing confirmed seats. I contacted customer service who said it was because of changes to flights I had made, didnt have much to say after I reminded him that I was sent an email confirming my seats after changes were made. Customer service then said they would send matter to their seating department and matter would be addressed immediately and seats would be issued for remaining segments since I had taken care of first leg myself, props to AA in taking care of this, well it wasnt as I arrived for next flight after a 1.5 hr flight to no assigned seats, called again and was given same story, and was offered for them to again take care of situation, I declined and said I would handle myself which I did in 5 mins. Guess the name CheapO apples to their level of service as well, and flight savings wasnt all that great to begin with, hope others have better luck
The customer changed his flights, so the original seats he booked, were for the first set of tickets. When the changes were made for the new flight, seats could not be re-assigned due to not being available on all the segments. Customer was not charged for the seat fee by us. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
After you book the flight, they call you and try to help you.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!

The airline Frontier had a change in their flight causing them to cancel her connection. This is not controlled by us or any travel agency, and we provide the options to the customer that is given to us by that airline. Customer chose a refund of the original flight due to it being canceled, and she purchased another one. We do realize schedule changes are an inconvenience, and offered her the options given to us.
