CheapOair is by far the worst travel agency. I was charged $66 dollars to change my tickets. When I received the changed itinerary I called them back to ensure no passports were needed and they confirmed no passport was needed. When my family arrived at the airport they were denied boarding due to not having a passport. I called CheapOair they called United, United canceled their tickets and after hours of being stuck in the airport United fixed their tickets they were able to leave. However, CheapOair did not fix the return flight and once again they were not able to leave. They were rebooked for the next day. On the second attempt they were able to get on the flight but United oversold the flight and they were asked to stay another day which they refused. I called CheapOair and they only wanted to refund me $66 after I had purchased $4500 tickets. MILITARY PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM CHEAPOAIR

Trash, this website, the chat & the phone reps are all trash. Do they train them not to be helpful. I selected to use them to arrange a flight to and from a location. First the depart & return city was changed then the return date was changed. I chatted with their ridiculously unhelpful system who placed me on hold with the message I'll be forwarded to other party in 4 minutes. I waited over an hour but no one appeared. I found there Customer service number and was told because that airline doesn't flight from where I want to go they can't help and the airline doesn't allow changed or refunds.
It was easy to use and reliable.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
