Worst experience I have ever had with opening a new checking account. Unfortunately I had to make 4 phone calls where I was put on hold for over a hour each time and I had to take time off work to make 3 visits to the local branch near my residence and each time they had to call another dept to attempt to correct the error on my checking account. To my surprise, the 1st visit and 2nd visit I was litterally lied too which is why I had to make a 3rd trip to the branch. After an hour and half at the branch they told me the issue was fixed, only to find out that after I got home and I attempted to use my chase app from my phone, I found that my account was not fixed. For some reason the chase organization are not all on the same page and none of them seem to positively know the answers or solutions to such simple issues and to my questions that were clearly warranted. I find it difficult to trust Chase bank for the fact that they would rather lie and give false information to their customers, I say this because I made sure during each visit that I understood exactly what they told me, and instead of Chase bank employees being knowledgeable or honest about not knowing the answers or policies they chose to lie to me instead. 5 different employees told me false information, due to them not actually knowing the correct answers. It's unprofessional and I feel sorry for the employees because honestly their lack of knowledge and the fact that they felt it necessary to lie instead, made them all seem really stupid to me and somewhat pathetic... this is the fault of jp Morgan chase corporations lack of employee training and their lack of instilling simple ethics and values. I'm seriously considering closing my account and taking my financial business to another bank of who I can trust..

I tried to make a appointment in person or over the phone to open a high school acc to my 2 kids... no date available, the customer service over the phone suggested to open a kids acc and go to the closest branch to upgrade the acc... when I got there, none of the 3 managers were with a customer and they said if by 4:15 the customer don't show up they would help me... I got here 3 pm... by 4:15 they came up and said 45 min would not be enough time to help me... really? BTW no customer show up... I'm thinking I should start to look for another bank...

I never write any review my whole life but this is my first time writing a review because I am very upset about the way they talk to their customer! I was asking if they have a feature that I could check my balance because it used to show on the app that has been taken off. The agent was NOT even LISTENING to what I said and kept on saying "MA'AM YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR BALANCE". I knowI have to check for my balance but I am asking for the FEATURE! JUST LISTEN! They were very disrespectful toward customer. I would not recommend!

You can't do anything on the website. Nothing works. You have to call customer service and they can't help you. EVER. They have to send you a form by mail, you fill it out, send it back, wait, call them back and MAYBE they will help you. There aren't many branches available, so going to one is a huge hassle, but it's preferable than talking to any of the people they hire for call centers.

No Phone Reps
July 8, 2022

I have a chase account and as long as all my transactions are online they are great, but to get assistance on the phone especially from the ******* Culver Dr, Irvine CA. It has been a week that I've been trying to speak to someone for the past 4 days. It always ends up with "They are assisting other customers" we should at least be able to chat with someone. All I need is the branch manager's name. Terrible.

I opened a checking account thinking the $200.00 promotion was just that not with a whole lot of stipulations! Then I mobile deposit a check for $700.00 on the 3rd of July that they said would be available on the 7th then it turned into the 14th... I deposited thinking I would have immediate access, boy was I wrong! Then dealing with customer service and thier hold department has been a nightmare! It sucks! You can't even get a hold of corporate office and they give you the run around and have you on 50 plus minutes of hold time to talk to anyone. Needless to say when I can I will close my account with chase and NEVER DEAL WITH THIS INCOMPETENT BANK AGAIN! You can't even go into an existing bank to deal with the issues... WORSE BANK I'VE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF DEALING WITH!

I have banked with Chase for decades. I deposited a large check, after 24 hours they released the funds. I paid some bills, then to my surprise they put the funds on hold again. My account was now overdrawn by thousands. When I called them they said they couldn't verify the check. I called the branch manager where the check originated, he spoke to the branch manager at Chase. Check verified! Chase refuses to release my funds for TWO WEEKS. I have my car loan with them 3 credit cards, 2 debit cards and 2 bank accounts. I did everything and this is how they treat loyalty. I'm done Werth Chase. They don't deserve good customers because they participate in bad business practices.

Excessive fees
July 8, 2022

I've been with Chase for 15 years now. Purely based off of familiarity. The fees are crazy and exhausting financially. With all the new online banking options and apps, it's just really a waste of time to deal with an institution that makes you feel invaluable.

Just not worth it
July 7, 2022

Honestly a horrible experience applying through them, to start off I have good credit and low debt to income. I applied when I was checking out well booking a flight, figured why not. Wasn't immediately approved which I thought was odd but waited for information. Got an email stating they couldn't verify my DOB and address. Again odd as I had them check my DOB and address that the credit bureau's have and they matched but okay submitted my proof and nope said the images where distorted. What? Distorted form a 12 megapixel camera, okay resubmitted the same images and they got approved. Then I call to see when I can expect digital confirmation if I get approved so I can book my flight, and after running in circles for days I get told that no matter what I have to wait 7-10 business days(possible 30, no one knows) or basically 2 weeks minimum to get it. So I suggest one thing, use another company, there are very similar cards out there and I apples and got instant approval.

Never have I been so disrespected and ran around aimlessly from department to department and hung up on by specialists. Not customer service but their specialists. All regarding a possible fraudulent issue involving my online banking account due to possible fraud deposit into my account. Initially they advised me they were putting a hold on my account to protect us both. Then, next thing you know they decide to completely close my account. Even after being a valued customer for years and never having one incident with many direct deposit checks into their bank during all that time. Not only that though, they then give me a hassle pushing me from department to department or hanging up on me multiple times just to do it all again with attempting to take out my own money from D. D. So that I can pay my bills with my new account elsewhere. LOL well looks like my last direct deposit which was a bonus from my employment, won't even reach me for another week. Making that 2 weeks since they closed my account. Plus, giving me the ring around before actually closing my account to get my direct deposit I've continuously had with them for years. Was told multiple times it was closed and 5 days later still had to close it! Let's hope it's truly closed so I can receive my DD now finally SMH... RIDICULOUS!

I would run miles away and go to a different bank where they will respect you and your money. After so many times. Calling back and forth managed to get an appointment to open an account. I went to the branch on East Bidwell Folsom, Ca. I went there at 9:05 for my appointment. Susan, the lady I had appointment with said my appointment is not until 9:15. She said that "I do not have time for you, you are going to wait for 15 minutes. She was standing and talking to other banker, After all these calls and visits to the bank, I was to still wait. And her attitudes for customer service not acceptable. I would rather go to a local bank. It is too big a bank for it's own good.

If you are with this bank BE VERY CAREFUL and tell others. Use bank of america or frost. Read the fine print they give you per your account. It wont hurt you to leave and switch banks. Take my advice when i say(type)withdraw your money and go to another bank asap. Protect yourself NOW. Dont wait. Chase is outsourcing (india) a country that already participates heavily in U.S. phone scams- they scammed me-almost got me concerning our lifes savings-TAKE HEED & LEAVE-PLEASE & warn others. #$tay$afe

Locked my account while paying bills. Previously accidentally withdrew someone else's $10,000. Withdrawal from my account with I luckily noticed as I was sent an overdrawn email. Low automatic deposit limits that are unusable. Bad customer service when going into a branch. I do not recommend Chase to anyone and will be changing banks asap.

You can not freeze your account due to loss or theft of card or if you suspect a scam. You can only do it on line through there app. What good is customer service?

I went twice to the bank to speak to David Clarke to add my daughter to the account and I was told to set an appointment. No one at the bank. I went again and he was chatting with Vilma Roc who is the branch manager and after they chat for 15 minutes and ignoring my presence and my husband presence, I was told to set an appointment. No one again at the bank. I left the bank and went to another chase located at 138-02 queens blvd, we spoke to Mr Kevin Castillo who helped us right away and welcome us. It took him exactly 15 minutes to add my daughter to the account. The first time I withdraw $100,0000. 00 from the acct and told Mr David Clarke that since he doesn't value my business, I am taking the money to a different bank and I did. Who need to hassle with lousy employee. That bank is going down the drain. Please change employee and the service at that bank
