Worst experience ever!
February 13, 2015

Worst experience ever! I made a appointment for my new deck and front speaker, in my 2008 hyundai accent.( show up 9 mins early had receipt and was ready to go) i left to go home to wait for a call when my car would be done, 2hrs later no call, so I call the Everett cartoys up to see where they were at, the guy on the phone tells me that they are just pulling my car into the shop to get started on and it might be another 2 hours lol. I'm never going back to cartoys. Also cartoys likes to nickle and dime you on everything, instead of just having a flat rate fee for installion, but that would be to reasonable, and easy. Cartoys is not the better way to go!

Watch out, these guys are seriously dishonest! I had a CD/radio receiver installed on my car. They were busy, but told me they would have it done by 1pm. It wasn't done until after 4pm. They told me they had all the parts and I paid for what I thought was "the sale price". I was told the Bose speaker harness I wanted wasn't needed and they could do it with another harness that was "cheaper". Halfway through waiting, my little daughter needed to go home for her nap, and my husband came by. We switched cars, and he waited for me while I went home. My husband questioned the price, which was over $100 than he had been quoted a few days before. Turns out Car Toys jacks the price of their products way up before a sale, and you end up really paying more than if it wasn't on sale. Also, the jerk salesmen told my husband that I had asked for the more expensive harness (it wasn't really cheaper after all, it was MORE expensive) and claimed he had explained this all to me, and I ok'd it. Total lie. To top it all off, the install guy scratched the paint on the top of my car during the install. The top of my car was perfect, and now there's a big swirly scratch it the paint. Do NOT go to these guys, they suck.

What a rip off
August 6, 2013

What a rip off. Charged me over $200 in unexplained fees on top of the installation charges. Charged for new brackets when the new speakers came with brackets and they were the same size and style speakers as what came out any way so they weren't needed. The deck and speakers that they installed was $300 they carged $400 for the installation totaling at $700. I will never shop there again!

Car Toys warning do not buy from these people! If you want low prices you sacrifice customer service unfortunately there is no way around it car toys could care less about what a customer means in the long run they just want your money now and don't care if you ever purchase from them in future which I will never do again. There sales reps will out and out lie to get you to buy from them straight up lie. I was sold a phone girl says oh we have this great replacement coverage if anything happens your phone will be covered just bring it back and we will swap it out. Lie you can't bring it back they have you call India and you have to mail it in. Ok fine but that; s it right? Nothing I have to do just send it in right? Yes that's it, another lie, turns out there is a 125 dollar deductible so after blowing up at the answering service for these lies I say whatever i need my phone so I have to pay it, well there system is down so they can't take my credit card, so they have to call me back, on a phone I can't answer calls on but they don't care, they got my money in first place who cares if I'm happy now. Lying to get the sale only cost you customers when they figure out they have been had.

Car toys are the worst when it comes to ethics and business conduct/ Practice. They cheat, promise you with best service and they are on the other side of that! If you do not agree with them and accept their mistakes, they humiliate you and prove you wrong no matter what evidence you have. They will never refund you your full money, In case if they accepted to cancel the deal!

Sweet deals on Alpine speakers. My local auto shops are charging me about 50% more than this website for the same exact alpine system. That does not include installation. Instead I bought it from cartoys and brought it down to an arco station and got it installed for just a couple hundred dollars. I could not believe what a rip off those car stereo stores are these days. I cannot see them staying in business when I can buy the same stereo online and have it installed by a regular garage.
