I submitted my resume to dozens of jobs through this website, and although some of the replies I received back were marketing jobs that didn't match my original request, I also received many emails and phone calls for legitimate positions. Within a week I had two interviews every day, and now I'm happily employed. I searched on indeed.com for a month and never received a single reply, so I'm happy this website actually worked.

I tried to purchase a two-week access to their resume database, but because I have a company based in Tokyo (and U.S. based credit cards), these nitwits refused my business. Seriously, are they so ignorant that they don't know that recruiting is an international business? Posted my complaint on their Facebook site and they responded indicating that they would be in touch with me directly. Of course, nothing from them. They are truly morons.

On the outside looking in Career Builder seems as though it is a great site, but it really isn't. I apply to Admin jobs and all of the companies that call me for interviews are for marketing. The job positions are very misleading and clearly marketing and working as a receptionist/administrative assistant are two different things. I do not think that this site is very helpful at all.

This site is OK they have easy application process interface, however it would not be the only place I would looking as there are numerous sites that provide other jobs than just CareerBuilder.com. I like careerbuilder.com but I would recommend using indeed.com as well as they provide an extensive job database

I was able to find job information, but many of the jobs seem to be already filled internally, or through some other means other than CareerBuilder.com.
Not to mention many of them just seem to help company and corporation HR departments by giving "employers" a lot of names and resumes, so if they ever get sued, they can claim that they "looked at many potential candidates" through their website, even though the position was probably filled weeks ago by someones niece or grandchild who did not even need to apply for the job.

I have to say that careerbuilder has too many spam advertisements. A lot of fraud and scams job on the website that don't fulfill the real pupose of finding a quality job.

This and other sites I have gone to to look for a job sticks applications for schools up in my way, then I start getting tons of phone calls from schools everyday since I went on the site. This and other sites like this won't allow you to go to the next page unless you respond to advertisement from a school. I don't want to do that. If I was interested in going back to school, then I would go to a site for schools.

If you are out of work or just trying to upgrade your next job careerbuilder might be a place to check out. This site has hundreds of jobs that go back at least 30 days. The problem with it is that your resume is put into a pile of thousands and so not really noticed by employeers who might come to this web to search for possible employees. But have no fear for some bucks careerbuilder will upgrade you to the front of the line and that way you can get noticed by searching employers.

The website is very popular and there by your chances of jobs posted there are excellent but the problem with it is trying to stand out. I recommand that you see which employers are looking for someone in your field and send and write them directly, don't use the site to submit your resume as the employer will get hundreds from this site in this fashion instead write an introductory letter and attach your resume to it and send it by the post office, make sure that it is professionally done (this runs between $75 AND $250 depending on which service you use) and use good resume paper and send it directly to the hiring manager( you can get the name simply by calling up the company).

I definately do not recommend this site. I'm not saying it doesn't work but you do have to go through a lot of loop holes just to apply for the job you want, then you find out that they're not actually hiring at all let alone the position you've applied for. I have yet to find a site that actually is decent for job hunting.

I heard good things about careerbuilder.com. Then I became a member and decided that those things were all lies.

I signed up in high hopes of finding that perfect job. All I've found so far is a stack of emails in my junk folder trying to sell me on resume services and other things I don't need.

If you jump through all the hoops, I'm sure the perfect job is waiting for you somewhere on that website. I just worry that you'll pay so much in assistance fees that you'll need that job to get yourself out of job searching debt.

As an business owner, I've used this site for recruiting. I got some excellent applicants, and have made a couple of hires. But they're expensive. So, a little over a year ago, I decided to run a side-by-side comparison and advertised the same opening for a $45K/yr salaried business position on careerbuilder.com ($400 cost of ad) and on craigslist ($25 cost of ad). The numbers and quality of applicants were similar. Since then I have done my advertising on craigslist with excellent results.

I am going to give careerbuilder three stars based on the fact, I have never had a single job contact from the site. The list of jobs are impressive and the site is easy to use. It just strikes me as strange sometimes that the same jobs keep getting posted and I have never met anyone who actually got a job offer. I am sure that has happened but I don't personally know of anyone. I am not trying to slam the company, they seem to be legit but I do wonder about the screening process for some of the jobs. However, it is a well-done site and hopefully of use to some people.

They are great and my favorite part is they only contact via the email YOU CHOOSE. And if by chance a faker manages too post a job to you through careerbuilder.com at the bottom of every email is a link where you can turn that fake job in too, they will investigate and will take care of that account. I have had some great job offers because of careerbuilder.com. Ive just had my 2cd job interview, background check and drug screening for Aldi. A place ive always wanted to work..

Careerbuilder continues to post jobs for SurveySay.com after several requests that they label this company's job postings as NON-TRADITIONAL. SurveySay.com is an online survey company, not a regular job and is similar to Global Survey Group which has also posted on Careerbuilder.com. They labeled their job postings as NON-TRADITIONAL. There is no difference between both companies. Job hunters are led to believe that they will receive CASH. Nope, you will not. You only receive bonus points which you have to use to buy services or products from their clients online. Yes, you may get $15.00 if you are lucky, but they never give you enough surveys to meet the MINIMUM required to get paid so you can pay some bills. Careerbuilder needs to do a better job at "protecting" the job hunters that visit their site and listen to those of us who report "weird" job postings. The botton to report this company has been removed by Careerbuilder.com so that we can no longer report SurveySay.com to Careerbuilder.com. Yet, Careerbuilder.com CLAIMS that EVERY job posting has a "Report It" button. Nope, the one on SurveySay.com went bye, bye...
