We hired Joann to take care of our two cats over the holiday week. She always communicated with us about our cats and did a great job taking care of them. She also gave us a surprise when we came home to a clean area (food and water station).

Rip off

I was attempting to find a person to walk my dog twice a week. All of a sudden I get this billing page. I thought it was $12.99 for one year so I paid with my credit card. It was over $300! All I can do is cancel my credit card. End result: No dog walker, ripped off royalty

The worst

What a ridiculous concept: to have people be able to create an account, post a job, look at Job applicants, allow job applicants to apply for your job, but then have no way to hire or communicate with them without upgrading! I mean seriously what was the point of all of that if you can't even do the one basic thing of hiring someone for the job. Absolutely ridiculous! Don't waste your time.

I am waiting for customer service. I can't chose a payment for my sitter who is "hired" I can't seem to figure out the payment portion. I promised to pay $130 for 5 days but see no reference to this on the site. She is new and wanting to be paid. The pet sit is not until Dec 23-27. I told her she would be paid through the service.

I was frustrated by care.com itself at first- I wanted to hire a last minute babysitter due to an illness and the website said I needed to pay a subscription or a temporary subscription fee to message a possible candidate. I went with the second, needing this service for a short time- but when I tried to message someone it told me I had to be a premium member to message for a job within 72 hours. I eventually found that I could post a job for the next day as long I as I wasn't directly messaging them. However this was confusing

However! I had multiple wonderful candidates apply within several hours and was able to get babysitting coverage for the next day.

Criminal and MVR checks

I have sent a Criminal and MVR check to my favorite potential sitter Bridget L. She states that she has checked her notifications and checked her email address and she has not received a request for a criminal and MVR check. I like that option to do those thorough check but so far it does not get received by the sitters. Please help.

Customer service

Poor customer service, unable.to.apeak with an agent all communication is electronic and for the most fromated. They up charge, cause add ons to the subscription in a shady way. I have tried to hire twice through them the first 2 workers flaked on interviews and the 3rd is basically running an u licensed daycare out of thier home.
