It is really difficult to find out and locate how to cancel the monthly subscription billing process. There is very little information on the web site as to how to proceed to do this so that my credit card is not automatically billed each month.

It took six attempts simply to get the site to accept payment. I don't always fill in my payment details correctly first time, but multiple attempts failed with "Java. Lang" error messages appearing on the form which is a terrible user experience and pretty frustrating when I just want to message people.

Care.com is taking advantage of small businesses during a pandemic. They contacted our small family owned preschool and told us for 200$ a year they'd send us leads for hiring staff. They failed to inform us they'd charge us for each lead whether we accessed them or not. They've wound up charging us 880$ in the last 2 months. The management is deceitful, fraudulent, and has lied about contacting me and my staff. They are very unethical and if you look at their reviews on BBB.com, they have over 450 reviews and are rated at 1.3 stars. Stay away from this evil business

It was frustrating to find out ONLY AFTERI had created the whole profile and started reviewing candidates and making a list that there was a charge for the services. I did not understand that my posting wasn't actually posted until I started paying. I don't mind paying for the service but the site is very misleading

Racist policies
March 9, 2022

I tried signing up to offer my services as a qualified teacher at a discounted rate but I kept getting rejected because my last name is too short. Many Asian names have 2 letters and the fact that a company doesn't even allow one to sign up due to this is straight up racist.

I wrote to them to explain that my last name is indeed 2 letters long. It took them a week to even get a response when they say itll take 24 hours. They then requested that I prove my identity but they don't ask this if your last name is longer than 2 letters?

Really shocking policies. Will not be joining as a result of their lack of cultural competence in 2022.

Only 4 people were recommended in my area and I was not offered a full discount despite not even having been a member more than a few hours. Unfortunately, it does not appear this site will best suit my needs based on the area I am in, and I feel strongly the company should offer a full refund to those who come to find out that there is such limited availability in the area.

I was previously a nanny

I was previously a nanny. I couldn't even access my account to close it and open a parent account without paying for a background check I didn't need. Once I opened a new account with my husband's email, I then couldn't access the special offered to new accounts to sign up for premium which is required to actually hire someone. If I didn't live in a small town and had another option, I would absolutely use a different service.
