In the past week I have tried to buy from this website and they process my credit card, post a pending purchase, and then within 5 minutes "cancel" my order. I have read around and found a few website accusing this one of using stolen credit cards to purchase gift cards and try to resell them or give people who buy the gift cards a "0" balance gift card and refuse to refund money. This is one of a few websites that I have been to selling gift cards and I have not had this issue on any others. I am worried that this my be a scam site. I contacted my credit card company and asked to have my numbers changed.
On April 30 I placed another order with cardcash. Yeah I could not resist getting 11 to 30% off on gift cards to restaurants, I bought cards to 3 different restaurants. Anyway. One of the restaurants I purchased a gift card for was Ruby Tuesday. So on May 7th we go to Ruby Tuesday and had a nice meal. As it turns out the waitress said her manager tried 3 times to process the e-gift card and it would not work. I used another form of payment. Anyway, on the following day I go to cardcashs web page and file a claim, it says it will take about a week. WTF: it did not take them a week to get payment from me. So I looked up the phone number and called card cash, they did not know why the card did not work and said they cannot check every card before sending them out. They gave me Ruby Tuesdays number. I spoke with Ruby Tuesday and found out that the card was closed before I even bought it from the unauthorized reseller cardcash because of a fraud dispute on April 19.
As it turns out card cash sent a quick partial refund on May 9, they did a quick refund of $83.04 which was nice but they still jipped me because I paid $89.29 for the card. I have not the slightest idea why they kept $6.25 of my payment. There must be a lot of dishonest people selling cards to card cash so keep that in mind when you buy from them. I would of selected Neither satisfies or Dissatisfied but because cardcash kept $6.25 of mine they get a somewhat dissatisfied.
BE Aware: You can get good discounts from cardcash but it is aggravating when the discounts dont work out and then you need to stop whatever you were doing to let them know it did not work or you wont get your money back. Oh Yeah. They only give a 45 day guarantee.
DO NOT SUPPORT MERCHANTS OPERATING ILLEGALLY AND INVOLVED IN MONEY LAUNDERING. BY SUPPPORTING THESE MERCHANTS YOU ARE HELPING FUND ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDING FUNDING TERRORISM.
I am a certified fraud specialist and this company is operating illegally. In my professional opinion this company is involved in money laundering and credit card fraud. It appears that the merchant is purchasing numerous gift cards that were originally purchased using stolen credit cards. Cardcash.com turns around and sells these items at a significant profit. You, the customer think you are getting a deal, but all you are getting is a headache. Card cash actually states that you should use the gift card within 45 days of purchase and only gives a 45 day buyer protection period. The reason why they encourage you to use the gift card so quickly and only give a 45 day protection is that is how long it will take for the credit card companies to contact the corporate office of the original gift card issuer and instruct them to cancel out the gift card number that was purchased with a stolen credit card. In essence, cardcash.com is trying to get you to use the gift cards before they are deactivated. After the 45 days pass and the gift card is deactivated by the store, you are out of luck if you have not used it yet as they claim that you are outside of their 45 day buyer protection period, so even if it turns out that that the gift card was deactivated because it was originally purchased with a stolen credit card, they say tough luck on you.
BUYER BEWARE.
I bought a $100 Panera Gift Card. I used it 3 times and it still had a $73 balance. The next time I went to use it the balance was ZERO! Card Cash told me they couldn't help them as I didn't notify them within 45 days of a problem so they refused to help me. How could I notify them within 45 when there wasn't a problem? Clearly the seller knows this so kept a copy of the card number, waited until 45 days passed and then used the remainder on the card. I get screwed out of $73 and Card Cash walks away saying 'sorry, we warned you about the 45 days.' Further they say there is a risk to doing business this way. Risk vs. reward. Stay aways from these fraudsters. You have been warned!
I paid for an e-gift card for Starbucks for $75, and never received it. My card was still charged.
Bought a $500 card to Kay jewelry's. Took my wife to by some jewelry. After very long time of her trying items on and picking one, went to pay and card instead had $15 of value. Man was this embarrassing and awkward moment with my wife.
Great discounts if you can plan your purchases couple of days in advance
I use CardCash regularly to save money on clothing, gifts and even on my prescriptions.
As in previous transactions, the cards I ordered were the cards I received. Time to receive was about 3 days from date of purchase. Arrived via First Class Mail in an inconspicuous envelope for added security.
I have been using discount gift cards for YEARS. I first started with Raise, although they were previously owned by someone else. I now use CardCash, Raise, and Retail Me Not. These are the BEST sites. I JUST purchased $50 Macy's with almost 9% off from CardCash. As for immediate delivery, the three I mentioned are FABULOUS! The others... not so much. SaveYa is the WORST. I complained, they now deny my purchases! Their loss for "Verifying" me once again. I spend thousands and save hundreds. Just trust the 3 sites I mentioned.
I love to be easy to buy or sell and the different means of payment available.
Bought a gift card to Cabela's. After printing the certificate, there was no barcode on the paper, and the card number printed did not work at the register. Took 20 min. Of trying, but finally, the manager at Cabela's was able to transfer the amount to an actual card and we were able to complete our transaction.
It's great to be able to save money on purchases at my favorite stores!
I've used card cash for movies and big name malls. Works great! Might not have all the cards I want in stock, but I like the emails that show me the sales.
I have purchased cards from this site several times now and have always received the cards timely. Thank you for saving me money!
Very straightforward, easy to use. Excellent customer service in the rare times i've needed to contact them.
Will continue using.
Always check balance immediately (might have a zero balance when you get it.) Always check balance again before using it (might have a zero balance, even though it had money when you got it; embarrassing at the store!) If you haven't spent all the money in 45 days, check the balance again (you may find it magically was drained exactly when the guarantee period ended.) I do still purchase from CardCash sometimes, but only if I will be using the money immediately.
Bought a gift card and got the balance promised with a 30% increase in buying power
Got a great deal on a Petsmart gift card using a promo code. They mailed it pretty quickly. Overall, a great experience!
I have made close to 15 purchases on this site and absolutely love it. The printable cards arrive within minutes of ordering. It comes in real handy for those office lunches, that always seem to be last minute. I have never ordered a physical card so I cannot rate those.
Answer: Thanks for bringing up the CardCash BBB rating, we appreciate the opportunity to explain why we have this rating. A few months ago we got into a dispute with a seller who defrauded us. We decided to take this matter to court rather than simply resolve the complaint that seller filed with the BBB. As this complaint remains open while the case is adjudicated, the BBB has downgraded our rating. Once this matter is resolved we expect our rating to more accurately reflect our commitment to excellent customer service and business practices.
Answer: Negative comments because they deserve them. They have the best deals because they have the most scammers selling them cards. That's why they only have a 45 guarantee. The majority of their cards will be zerod out by the 45 days or right after. Then, you are screwed. They WON'T refund your money after that.
Answer: Yes, my brother had a bad transaction with Cardcash. He put a hold through PayPal and Cardcash had to respond and then quickly resolved the problem. Cardcash is the only gift card company that I have dealt with constantly sells bad cards. I know only use giftcardrescue, cardpool, or monster giftcard. Never had a problem with them.
Answer: We have a 45 day guarantee for such occurrences. Please reach out to our claims department so we can assist you. Thanks!
Answer: Of course! You are covered by our 45 day guarantee. Please email [email protected] so we can resolve it immediately. Have a wonderful day!
Answer: They don't. Don't do it. They make it seem like this is a better, faster option but they've taken my $150 cards for over a week now and have not responded or provided me the MasterCard info. Please stay away and report to BBB as this is a common practice of theirs.
