I bought two gift cards. One was usable and the other was not. I called the customer service line about the card the merchant refused to accept. The carfcash rep sent an email to the claims department and cc'ed me on it. After four days, I hit "reply all" and asked for the status of my refund. I received no response. These gift cards ended up costing much more than the face value because I have an unusable card and can't seem to get a refund.

The first and only time I've used Card Cash is when I bought a gift card for my mom's birthday sms gifted it to her.

How embarrassing was it when she called me from the restaurant and said it didn't go through? At least it was my mom, and I told her I would cover her tab.

Card Cash did refund me, but it was a lot of effort for no benefit. I asked Customer Service how common this was and they failed to provide any kind of a response whatsoever. Left to my own assumptions, it's occurred 100% of my interactions with them, so maybe this is just a completely unreliable service.

I gave it a 2 because they had a return policy on this, although I think there is a day limitation (that I was not aware of). If my mom had used her gift card outside that return period, presumably I would have been out the entire amount.

So you can't gift this to anybody because you can't be sure that it will work or that they would use it before the return policy expires. But you could take the chance yourself to realize some savings... if it works

I've been buying things for years. I've always had a great experience. It's easy to purchase, cards are easy to use, the paper certificates can be a little difficult sometime but that has to do with the cashier not being properly trained how to process them as payment. I've had to deal with customer service on maybe 2 occasions and my issue was resolved promptly. I really have no complaints.

I have purchased several gift cards from CardCash. Most recently three had zero values and one substantially less value than claimed. The last one with a zero value was suppose to be for $75 from Einstein Bagel. I went to an Einstein Bagel location. Was told that this card had no value. I thereafter contacted Einstein Bagel's customer service number. They advised me that this card had been zeroed out four days prior to the date CardCash emailed it to me. CardCash should not ship worthless cards. Moreover, it should not take 4 work days to issue a refund.

I received a gift card that had no value loaded and now I have to wait until they research it. It was their mistake but I have to wait for over a week while they investigate? It was meant as a gift for someone who is moving but it appears their 'investigation' will take too long. Granted, this is the only issue I had after purchasing multiple cards but it is their issue, not mine.

I have been using CardCash for a couple of months now and I've already bought hundreds of dollars of gift cards. The discounts CardCash offers are amazing and I have been thrilled with them!

The only thing that I would like them to add is a reliable app. They do have an app, but it's barely worth the space on your phone. I used it to buy a gift card and did use the card once with no trouble, but I didn't use up the GC and had a remaining balance. The next time I opened the app, the card was gone. I had to use the card up via the emailed PDF document instead, which involved opening my email, digging up the message they sent and opening the PDF, all while the cashier is waiting for me to pay. There is no way to restore your purchases to the wallet in the app. This is irritating and should be fixed. If the app, and especially the wallet, would work well, this would easily be a 5 star outfit.
