Outrageous nonsense. I have a land line, but they would not believe anything I said and email was not acceptable. Be prepared.
Opened my 17 year old son a money account with capital one. Read all of the terms of use to be sure he would be able to use zelle. Capital One claims if they are 13 or older, and the parent enables it, they can use zelle. This is not true. According to a supervisor they are still rolling out zelle for the minor accounts and said only some accounts have access to it. They could not explain to me why my son's account did not have that feature. Very unhappy with their false advertising and immediately closed the account.
I have had a Neiman Marcus credit card for roughly 20 years now. During this time NM changed banks to Capital One. Capital One lowered my credit availability significantly to roughly $500 because I was no longer using my credit card was the reason they gave. That occurred about 5 years ago. Now there is something I wanted to order and more importantly I received a letter from NM stating my card had gone inactive because of me not using it and they would cancel this card in July if I did not make a purchase by July. First I had to call Capital One to get it reactivated and update my financial information which by the way had greatly changed for the better. It took 4 days to get the activation at which time I called back by phone to get my credit amount increased. I held on the phone through this process for over 30 minutes only to be told they could not complete the process at this time and I would be notified of their decision by mail within 10 days. I received that letter which stated in order for them to increase my credit I would need to send Capital One my personal tax returns and my personal bank statements. The only time I have ever had to submit those kinds of personal documents was when I bought a home. They said their decision also had to do with my credit scores which I have an app for that which I pulled up on my phone while I was speaking with them. My lowest credit score recorded with all three credit bureaus was 780 which is almost a perfect score. And according to any alerts from my credit bureaus Capital had not even inquired about my scores. Capital One repeated to me that I wasn't eligible for any increase without providing them the personal information and documentation they requested. I cancelled my NM credit card right then and will report to my credit bureaus that it was a cancellation request made by me. Otherwise the cancellation will bring my scores down. This is more than ridiculous and a bit scary. Be wary of doing business with Capital One and Neiman Marcus credit cards.
I completed a pre-approval form for a Capitol One Rewards card that was supposed to have a $95 annual fee; the process completed by saying I would be approved, but the details then showed the fee was $395. I went ahead and completed an application for the $95 fee card, but it then said I was denied... And I have an 835 credit score. They obviously tried to trick me into getting the higher fee card.
No problem-solving skills, no service for customers, everything is the customers' fault that is their mindset. Will start looking for another bank to replace it.
OCTOBER 17,2023 I asked to renew my Capital One card while living on a temp. Visa in the Netherlands. I do not want to use false information or data or give my address to someone else in Canada because your policy is to allow fraud. I get an AMEX card using a Netherlands address, why not yours? It's going on 3 months waiting for a response...?
They closed my account just because of a payment that I didn't want to verify on my account which is so annoying. Hate it so much
I purchased a new pair of shoes at Bass Pro Shops using new Store Card (Capitol One) and got $20 off of my $60 purchase in October, 2023.Did NOT! Receive ANY! Billing Statement from Capitol One for over 2 Months! And when I did (yesterday) they hit me with a $112.00 Bill for Interest and Late Fees!...I'll pay the SOB's today, but Capitol One can kiss my A$$.even a Mafia Loan Shark wouldn't charge that much!...Their card just went thru the Shredder too, about 5 Minutes ago!...
Deceptive, unresponsive, and condescending on the phone. Worst experience with a CC company in my life. Do yourself a favor and go with another card...
They robbed me their dirty crooks legally do not sogn up for credit cards they arent ur friends they will rob u blind if ur tuff a month sticknit out do not succumb
My granddaughter lost her Money debit card, 4 transfer's 3 different countries and 20+ minutes! So frustrating, to the point that I need to find a new bank! You can't understand these reps, they talk over you and don't listen!
They lie cheat n don't speak English very well…they will hang up on you when you ask a question. When asking their name and operator number they ask why are you asking for that…because I want to know who I'm talking to …they refused to give their information and talk over you then you ask again their information…again they suck big ones and are a headache…find another cc company so you can eliminate a headache
APPLIED FOR A NEW CREDIT CARD, GAVE ME $7000 CREDIT, SET MY USER NAME & PASSWORD FOR MY NEW ACCOUNT,, COULD NOT SIGN IN, TRIED TO RESET MY USER NAME AND PASSWORD AND IT SAID IT COULD NOT USE MY MOBILE NUMBER,,, SO I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, 2 HOURS ON HOLD,, WHEN I FINALLY GOT A HOLD OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I THINK THE GENTLEMAN WAS FROM INDIA BECAUSE COULD HARDLY UNDERSTAND HIM,, I WAS AT WITS END BY THEN AND JUST HAD HIM CANCEL THE CARD,, NEVER AGAIN CAPITAL ONE, NEVER AGAIN, MY TIME IS MORE VALUABLE THAN YOUR POOR SERVICE!
Filed a fraud dispute, followed the directions for their "investigation." Took less than a day for them to deny it all and tell me to work with the merchant that gave me fake products. Worthless as far as fraud protection. Thanks for wasting my time.
Unfortunately, my car broke down and I had to rent a car. I didn't realize about the $300 deposit on the car rental, as online it sounded like that was for debit cards. I was then $19 short. I went on to make a payment on my card. Once it updated, I realized I was still $19 short. I then cancelled it to correct it. It didn't update this time. I called Capital One for the first time in the 5+ years that I've had cards and was so disappointed. The first two people I spoke to didn't understand me, and me them. The third person spoke just fine but he decided to transfer me without a word because I had a Savor card and said I was renting a car. The Fifth person was from the Travel department, and she was nice but couldn't help. She is the only one to apologize several times. The Sixth person I talk to was a regular customer service person but could care less.about what issue I was having but instead told me...Since you cancelled your payment and put it back in I can't update it. You'll just have to wait until it clear. I said I'm stranded, and I have two credit cards and a CD. She didn't care at all! I guess either she was having a bad day or maybe that's her natural self. Merry Christmas to the people at Capital One that failed me today. I would rather go someplace and pay more than to be treated like "Who cares that you are stranded or that we can help you"? Not going to happen with Capital One. Very sad I always thought it to be a good for my credit cards, but you learn who you are dealing with when you need assistance. I did end up getting my car but it was because the Enterprise in Pascagoula, MS was so caring and had great customer service. The Capital One 5 employees that shoved me away and one that was kind was a wake up call.
They have the worst customer service ever! The automated guy in beginning of call sucks! Can't hear anything or do anything! Then after 10+ mins they get a phillipino girl who speaks horrible English! And they easily confused
I just got off the phone with capital one customer service and the person I talked to was amazing. He even told me merry Christmas. He activated my card within a few seconds. I have not had any issues with this account and I've had it for many years. Thank you so much for being amazing and taking care of me in the way I deserve. Your customer service rocks!
Capital One is practicing the Bate and Switch tactic on it's Quick Silver credit card. Initially the rate is 0%, that's the BATE. The interest rate is now 30.24%, that's the SWITCH!
I opened a dispute with Capitol One Bank, seeking a resolution and refund. Despite three months of waiting, my valuable time was wasted, and the case was closed without a satisfactory outcome. When I reached out to Capitol One's travel team for assistance, they claimed they couldn't help and directed me to contact the airlines. A lack of support and resolution has left me thoroughly dissatisfied with Capitol One's customer service.
Capital one is untrustworthy! I never asked to open up a credit card in my name. I hate Capital one! They are the most under-rated company who had lied sending mail about someone wanting a credit card n trying to open one up. They are worth garbage!
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way

Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
