My mother was FORCED to purchase $18,000 in ADDITION insurance that she did not need. When she told them she didn't need it, they snuck it in the purchase contract anyway! Lawyers need to be called and contacted and avoid using them as a dealer!

Our brand new fifth wheel came with the furnace, water heater and refrigerator not working. The optical control board is broken and they refuse to replace it unless we bring the whole unit in, which would cost $400 and leave us without a home. It would only take them a few minutes and cost less than $200 to replace the board.

Going up on a proposal
November 1, 2023

They proposed an amount in writing on an RV and at the last minute went up $11,000 on the deal saying it was because of repair they weren't aware of. When I ask them why I had to pay for the repairs all they would say to cover the cost. Why weren't these problems found out at 2 dealerships ( Jacksonville, Florida or Byron, Georgia) before it was put up for sale. After I told them I wouldn't pay the extra cost they sold it to a friend of an employee. It looks like I was told false information just to sell it to the friend. Saw an email address to the CEO at which I sent an email to him and when they called me I was told he didn't talk to customers. I WILL NEVER go to any Camping World store ever again and I will pass the word so no one else gets done dirty by them like the did me.

Not happy
October 28, 2023

Been looking at a fifth wheel they have that we really like. I received a email saying it was on sale. Went in again and they quoted us a total different price than the email, we showed them the email and they dropped the price to what the email stated. Since we are trading in our trailer they were at least 4000.00 off what we needed to be in our trailer to trade which is okay but then they made it such a big deal to match the price that was emailed me…. Hummmm I didn't send myself the email and I don't set the prices. I feel it should have never been a hot item to act like they were doing such a great job coming down to the price in the email. Why do they feel like they can jab a person on a trade in? No one in their right mind wants to roll over a balance from one trailer to the next when my fifth wheel is newer than the one I was trying to buy. Maybe it's time to move on and go some place else. Oh FYI as we are sitting in the dealer ship we check the internet price which matched the email we received they raised the price back up about 3,000.00.

Junk
October 24, 2023

I purchased a 2023 Nexus Triumph from Camping World. On the very same day that I brought it home, the generator wouldn't turn over. The control panel was bad so the generator with control panel was replaced. That took 3 weeks. You would think Camping World would have tested that before letting it off the lot but I guess not. Now, because of other things in our lives we didn't get camping for the next month or so. Finally got camping for the first time. Yup, everything was dead. I had to start the truck to start the generator. Thank goodness there was 110 electric power 150 feet away. So that helped. We had lights and the furnace at night. So now, after a week back in the shop, I'm told a $150 fuse is blown that won't allow the batteries to be charged. And guess what, Nexus won't warranty the fuse and I'm sure as heck not paying for it. Who knows when I'll get our camper back. I can't hardly wait to see what the next issue is. Quite frankly, anyone reading this, don't buy from Camping World and don't buy a Nexus. Half the time or more, I have to call multiple times to get someone to answer the phone.

Jeff Krozel was our salesman at the Las Vegas location. His professionalism was beyond my expectations as he was absolutely incredible throughout the purchase and trade in of our other trailer. He took his time to help us understand the contract and it's contents. He listened to us regarding our wants and needs and found the right rig for us. David with finance did an amazing job as well as Paul Allen the General Manager. An epic shout out to the entire team. Thank you for working with us.This is our second purchase and highly recommend them. There are many false reviews due to competition and I feel they deserve a great review due to their commitment to their customers.

About a week after an expensive tent arrived (shipped from UK va FedEx to US), I got a duty bill from FedEx for 25% of the cost ($450). The purchase said free shipping, apparently not duty free shipping.

There was no way to calculate the duty fee. Customer service tells me they have a calculator on the site, but it's a joke. Unless you know where the item was made (which was NOT on there site) its impossible to calculate. A simple tent, bought in the UK, that was apparently made in china, has a huge tariff.

I was straight up told from customer service that it's impossible for them to know where every item they sell is manufactured... well guess what, if you don't have this info, the end user gets stuck with a bill. They simply don't care. Will never buy from them again. 0 Stars.

Circus
October 7, 2023

My 5 th wheel was dropped off 2 hours from my home at Hamburg pa. It's was an insurance claim. Some small body work and two awning. After 4 months and dealing with no call back we were forced to drive 2 hours to pick it up incomplete. They wouldn't even call the adjuster back. They installed 1 awning and did some horrible body work. The manager Dalton brennen lied to us and can't get anything complete after 4 month. They also killed our batteries costing us hundreds of dollars. A business with this kind of reputation should not be in business. We are also contacting the attorneys general to report the company. Stay clear of these clowns. And as far as Corp. They are even more corrupt. Marus needs to go. Running camping world to the ground. Will never buy or bring my rv to them. Stay clear people ….

They fix my camper as soon as I role my slide out. My floor got damaged now they said it's not there fault. They will not fix it. We'll I didn't have the issue before. Only had one decent experience with one camping world down by Seffner fl. So far I would not recommend camping world for nothing. No honor among thieves.

Don't don't don't do business with them. Just don't.
All the horror stories you read online about Camping World are true.
The sale process is nice, and this is the catch, once you get the RV it's all downhill - if you have any issues with the RV- good luck with that. Prepare to fight for any warranty claims, and save money for out-of-pocket expanses.
Repairs times are so long, sometimes in the months.
If you want to sell them back the unit, expect about 15% of your initial cost. (yes, 15%, 85% less of what you paid a year before).
The communication with them is hard, not responsive to email, the channels between them and the manufacture (Keystone in our case) is broken.
If you expect to get any service from other Camping World branches as you travel- forget about it as well.

Don't do any business with them. Do yourself a favor.

Hesitant as I was to even think about using Camping World for anything, they had an Airstream I was looking for at a decent price. They have terrible reviews for everything. They are the same as Good Sam...garbage! Both companies are liars. The trailers floor covering was bubbling and I asked the sales person, who seemed like he was on crack tried to tell us some sob story that didn't line up with what I was looking at so I started looking around and low and behold thet was a used valve laying on the floor in the bathroom. It was the waterheater valve and it must have leaked all over the floor at some point causing the floor covering to bubble and seperate. The trailer was filthy and only had one very old looking battery. But he said don't worry we detail it before it's delivered after the trailer has sold. What a joke and a lie. This is the kind of way they provide everything to the customer. And there was no way I would buy toilet paper from them much less a 80k trailer. Beware people and look at reviews from this place and Good Sam. They will screw you around in a heartbeat if you let them. They are a P.O.S.! We laughed as we drove off. Typical worthless company run by Good Sam STEER CLEAR from these morons! This was a Washington State store which I won't say which one but I would stay away from all of them. They are all the same scamming scumbags.

I purchased a new 2022 motorhome from Camping World in April 2023. We mutually agreed to do all the paperwork electronically because I live in California and the coach was located in South Carolina. Upon reviewing the contracts, I noticed there were extra charges for GAP insurance and an extended warranty program that I did not ask for nor did I want. I immediately called the finance manager and informed her of these additional fees, and she insisted that I needed to sign the contracts and return them within the next 48 hours, or the approved loan will have met its deadline and would no longer be available to me. She further insisted that the GAP insurance and warranty could be reversed upon request and all monies would be refunded towards the lending financial institution. I signed all contracts and took delivery about a week later. At this time, I informed the finance officer I wanted the insurance and warranty fees refunded and she agreed to cancel those items for me. About one month later I again contacted the finance manager via email to have the services cancelled and was told she knew nothing about my request. She in fact called me a liar in her email response to me. So, I contacted her store manager who said he would investigate and help with my request. In August I contacted the corporate office as Marcus suggests he has an open-door policy, and any customer may contact him directly. Of course, this is not true, and I was met with a phone operator trained to receive complaints from customers such as myself. The operator informed me that someone would be returning my call to assist with my situation. I later received a call from someone that identified himself as the General Manager. I submitted all of my emails and dissatisfaction to him and requested a confirmation of receipt from him. He did provide the confirmation and that is as far as his assistance went. It has been 2 months since our last communication and still I have not received and refunds to my lending institution nor has the undesired services been cancelled. These services are costing me $11,350.00 against my will and can only be cancelled by Camping World. Not only am I paying for services I never requested however, I am also paying interest towards the loan for these services. Camping World has only proven again and again that they are out to get money any way possible and complete disregard for consumer satisfaction.

Assisted by Vinny/Spenser of St. Augustine. They replaced my awning. The whole awning casing simply fell off the rv at camp-if it had come off while driving, I may have injured or killed others on the highway. Had to lift a 150 lbs casing into the rv. They argued that they had done good a good job. In 15 years of RVing this has never happened to anybody -nowhere! In that same service request, they were ask to repair the generator, they took 3 hours of labor to replace a $25 air filter. I say again, IT TOOK THEM 3 HOURS TO REPLACE AN AIR FILTER, charged me $509. There are no nuts, screws or difficulty in opening or getting to this filter on Onan 2300 lp unit. It takes 1.5 minutes to do.

I noticed smoke in the back of my RV when I plugged into shore power. So I unplugged and took my motorhome to camping world to have it looked at. The tech said he checked the connections in the breaker panel 3 times and said he couldn't find a problem at all. After the RV started smoking again after I plugged in, I went to another camping world where I was given a tech phone number. I called and was told I needed a new transfer switch or water heater. I didn't believe that. I canceled my cross country trip and began the journey home. I got to my first stop, I was able to check the breaker panel myself, since that's where the smell came from. Sure enough, I found a completely burned wire, with a very loose connection screw and several other connections that were loose too. The small control panel at the bottom was also damaged from a fire that wouldn't have happened if the RV tech had actually taken the cover off the breaker panel to check the connections. If I hadn't been an RV savvy firefighter I might have died because of their negligence and dishonesty! And what's more they didn't seem to care. They already had my money, so what was there to care about?

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CON ARTISTS!

I cannot stress enough just how bad our experience was and now we are out $25k. This started due to camping worlds neglect to fix, and properly maintenance a used unit that came in before reselling it to me. Causing a slide roof to break during a rain storm flooding and ruining the unit. Camping world would not take any sort of responsibility and my insurance can blatantly see that this was due to neglect. So no help there either. Now we have 25k pile of garbage on a trailer just hanging around. Camping world blamed us for the neglect even though we had it In there facility a month after the purchase to look at the slide. The looked at it and even serviced a track. But not the roofs seals or the slide cover that they claimed was installed correctly (which was installed by them prior to our purchase). They claimed they told us of this and we refused service. Which is a joke. They never told us because I would've been all over them for it because it would've been their responsibility due to the time frame of our purchase. This is all on top of the fact that our con artist sales person lied to us about our financing contract. We wanted to buy with cash and was discouraged from doing so with our sales associate claiming he only makes his commission on financing. He told us we could take a small loan then just pay it off after 3 months and their would be no fee for early termination. Well needless to say there was when we went to paybthe balance.

Long story short, save yourself the trouble of dealing with these con artists. Save your money and go elsewhere. They will sell you garbage, and not back their own wrong doing. They way they conduct their business is nothing short of unethical and frankly bordering illegal. (Attorney Generals office has been notified)

They ripped us off.
September 16, 2023

We paid 90,000 for a p.o.s. It's barely worth 40,000. We have spent 3,000 in repairs with more repairs needed. Awnings ripped Hydraulic system fried. Wiring shorting windows leaking. Can't go more than 50 miles an hour. When we attempted to address the issues we were treated very poorly. They wouldn't even take it back in trade for what we paid. Only offered to look at it again if we brought it to them and left it for an undetermined amount of time, anywhere from 5 days to 5 months. DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD.
