If you take a look the positive reviews of Campers Inn are about what a nice time people had with the salespeople showing them RVs. Anyone who has had to deal with their service is generally the opposite.
I bought a new Winnebago Revel at the Campers Inn in Kingston NH last October. There is an issue with the roof mounted MaxxAir fan. I ordered the replacement parts myself. I called them yesterdayto see if they can make the necessary repair. They said they could not get it in until August.
The funny thing is the sales and F&I people were continuously telling me what a great organization Campers Inn is and how well they take care of their customers.
Even though this is a warranty issue, that I figured out for myself and ordered the parts for...the first time I need help I'm told too bad.
New for us, motor home owner. LP would not flow to appliances. They worked into schedule even though backed up. Wow, thought great service I thought.
I told them I had checked full tank, tank valve open, replaced regulator, purged lines for 30 minutes, but still wont flow. Asked of a switch I may be missing? Was told would have to drop off. That was the only item requested to address.
End result was $400 invoice, 2 hours labor, to tell me the LP switch was off. At $200+/hour expertise wouldnt that be the very first thing, within minutes of trouble shooting?!
Campers inn had my unit for 7 months went to pickup they said was done got to dealership unit still had things not fixed was supposed to have solar charger fixed got it home stir does not work after they had it for 7 months
Coming from a former employee that was proud of the establishment even before Campers inn took over i can no longer say that i am. Left to better myself and grow and there was no "bad blood" they said when leaving they have done nothing but put blood in the water. Went in to talk about customers i had waiting on units coming that have called my personal cell and was told to get out and never step foot in the building. Then to better that my family and I's insurance was cut off before my final date and now have a back track of medical bills from my two kids under the age of 3 due to the company not honoring insurance 30 days after my leave. I was also in the market for a camper and i can say i now cant even buy from the establishment from my own friends due to the company and their new found "rule"
Worked with Susan Thorpe to purchase a Winnebago Travel Trailer. She was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She seemed truly interested in our wants and needs. She was very patient and not pushy while she was with us. We purchased the travel trailer in October 2022 and just got around to writing a review.
Thanks you!
As a departing employee of Campers Inn and someone familiar with the management of the company, I am uniquely qualified to give an unbiased appraisal, on the substance and character of this organization.
The owner/CEO is Jeff Hirsh and the CFO is Ben Hirsh.
I can honestly say that these are fine men, ethical, honest and of high character. The company makes decisions based on integrity, not profit. As a normal course of business, I have seen them refund sales, that they did not have to refund, because they thought it was the moral thing to do. I have seen how they treat employees, from the lowest to the highest in position and prestige. Every employee is treated with dignity and respect. When they must terminate an employee, they do so in a way that preserves the dignity of that individual, careful to be gentle and kind, careful not to damage the person's self-esteem.
Campers Inn has been an upright member of the communities that they serve. The employees are trained and cultivated, allowing them more opportunity to advance their career and lifestyle.
Because I am about to retire from Campers Inn, I have no ulterior motive to leave this review, other than to help any person considering a career, or a potential customer deciding who they want to do business with.
I enjoyed working with the people, and they were very helpful; their paperwork process is focused on the local store and not the consumer:
1) You pay for the camper before they prep it for delivery
2) You pay for the camper, and the 20 days plates start from that date, not when the camper is delivered. The plates were dated 9/28/2022
3) You sign the title application before you even take delivery - I bought a used camper and purchased the peace of mind coverage. They had one sign the title transferring a CT title before I even accepted the camper and before their work was done to approve the camper to be fit for sale.
4) The camper was delivered on 10/11/2022 by Cliff, who spent many hours with Lois and me on the delivery of the camper! We got our money's worth there on the peace of mind! There was little peace of mind at the closing! The Service Manager, Amanda, said they would take care of
They did their work, and the service people were wonderful. This was my first camper purchase, so maybe it is not like buying a car or home where the work is done before you accept the property. I asked to speak to the manager, which never happened, so I called corporate, and they referred me back to the store.
I know they wanted the paperwork to be signed before the end of the month, and delivery was in a different month, so it seems to be a sales booking issue. My brother-in-law bought a new camper, and they did the same thing. My lawyer friend bought a camper from them as well this year, and you sign a form that makes you responsible for the camper when on their property before you accept delivery.
So you can see why I think the business focuses on paperwork for Campers Inn, not the customer focus. If the people their like Amanda and David were not so helpful in finding ways to make it work, I would not have closed on the camper.
Good luck - maybe ask the salesperson when you visit Campers Inn and other places if they are the same in delivery procedures. We are excited about the world of camping, and I hope this helps others as they shop!

The store manager, Peter, called and said he never got my messages. We had a nice conversation - He said he assumes that customers realize the paperwork is limited by consumer protection. Hence, the trailer is still their responsibility until it leaves the lot. I suggested that they document that in a cover letter to give people peace of mind when they take to sign the documents before taking possession. In life it is about finding balance, and we all need to work together.

Another disappointment experience with Cambers inn customer service calling me to ask about what happened and promising me they will calling me back but they never did. No respect at all.
Will never buy there again. They take advantage of elderly people. My husband bought 2 4 wheelers and they did not charge him right price. He went back and all they did was rearrange and add to figures to make it come out the same
Sales was ok but trying to get repairs to a new camper is a night mare. Dealer blames factory for denying warranty and very littles gets done.
Camper has so many issues, it almost appears to have been wrecked and poorly repaired
Do NOT recommend doing business with these people.
These guys don't have the common sense to repair anything I took my unit there the roof still leaks and the electric is still not repaired properly I have extended warranty and both times they made me pay out-of-pocket and cannot handle figuring out how to go through my extended warranty do not ever buy their units for take anything there to be repaired it will not be done properly
Lisa went above and beyond to correct a frustrating situation. We purchased a RV in November and stored at the Merrimack location. We gave our pickup date at purchase. Someone forgot to instruct service of our dates. We thought we wouldn't be able to get the bus on the date we requested. Lisa to the rescue, our RV was ready when we needed it... Our many thanks to Lisa. We would give her ten stars it was allowed. Bob and Linda Russo
Great Installation. They were very busy. I ask if they could reseal the roof. High quality of workmanship. Something is very hard to fine in 2021. Thanks! Personal makes customer feel at home. I will use this service at campers inn in the future. Great service experience.

Brand new Rv, took out once and has 27 things wrong and has been at dealership for three months and there not returning emails or phone calls Hello, My wife and I have been looking to purchased a newer Rv we have been looking for a long time and wanted to make sure it was the right one. On July 10 we purchased a Brand New Rv as we where excited and we had a big trip planned to go see my son and grandkids who are in the miltary. Well the nightmare began, as my wife worked hard making dinners, ice cream sandwitches ect. For the trip we work up the 2nd day and the fridge and freezer went, all of our food ice cream everywhere, tried everything to see if maybe we hit a button or something, nope! We had to go purchase a cooler for the rest of the week and get more food, that was the least there are 27 things wrong with it. So when we arrived back home we contacted the dealership considering we only had it for about less then a month, they where not to helpful right off the bat. It had been back at the dealer since August 19th, and I have tried to reach out to the and tried to call and I have gotyon no where! Nothing but additiudes and rude comments. I had to cancel three trips because of this and I am paying a 136,000 loan with no RV! At this point I want my money back and they can keep there RV. How is this fair?
Of course if you never have a problem you are going to give a good reviews. It's how a business handles issues is what makes a good business We were sold a used unit in April and told it was in like new condition. Well what we receive was far from that. They told us they would take care of the issues free, and they should. We just wanted our money back but not an option. It is now the middle of September and a summer of camping missed. We are picking the Camper tomorrow and will never deal with Campers inn Pittsburgh again.
