Lost in translation

I saw a picture of a nice Seiko watch on buyee and they put some very confusing statement down about "breath." I was unaware but the listing was just for a bracelet. I thought it was misleading and as soon as I purchased the item the photo disappeared. It was not really even an auction at all, since they accept no bids yet they refused to issue a refund. I find the site much more difficult to navigate then aliexpress and they are difficult to get a hold of through customer service. These transactions did not show up in my account and they offer no way to leave feedback. So the seller appears to have 364 good ratings but no place to tell anyone about my personal experience. I also think Buyee has frivolous and over priced services as well as shipping expenses-- which the ad by kk houry said that the seller would pay so on a $23 item they padded $33 worth of expenses on the price. 10 for services and 20 for shipping-- this is astronomical compared to what ebay, amazon or etsy would take. So in the end I simply declined to pay for the shipping. I do not recommend them to anyone

I made an order with Buyee to ship my package using Seamail and payment went through without any issue.
A few days later Buyee contacted me saying JP post returned my package because it's oversized for Seamail. (Their system told me nothing about the dimension of the shipment at the checkout page)
Now my only option is DHL, which is triple the price. They denied my refund and refused my request to split shipment into smaller packages.
I now have to call my credit card company and file a fraud dispute because they pulled a bait and switch on me, ate my payment, and holding my shipment hostage.

Update:

I filed a dispute case with my credit card company, since buyee had no proof of delivery, they favored me on the case after a month of investigation. On the same day I got my full refund, buyee got pissed and deleted my account, but who cares, it's the last time I will ever use them.

I collect all sorts of hobby related goods from videogame and series. I've been using Buyee for years for that, and with the addition of Mercari service, my buying has increased due to more options. They're constantly improving, from adding shipping options to adding more stores to buy from.

I love their promotions, makes it easier to get those items I've been eyeing for a while. They always have something going on. Their features for buying, bidding, shipping, etc., are really helpful, it makes it easy to find what I'm looking for.

Their CS is fast and helpful. They're always nice and make an effort to solve any questions/issues I have.

I've had a few problems over the years, 2 misquoted shipping quotes, and they were big boxes. They should double check the weight before giving the shipping options when it comes to stuff like that. It's not a nice surprise to find out you have to pay more.

Also combined shipping from same seller is something that they should really think about implementing.

It's not perfect but Buyee's pros easily outweigh the cons.

Buyee has definitely helped my collection increase, which is why I keep coming back.

I've been using Buyee shopping for a while now. Which various purchases are easy and convenient because they have the national language. It's make various transactions easy to make a decision to make a purchase. In my case, I have the problems occurred when I purchases something, But there is always support to help customers. When emailing for help Customer support responded quickly, and always provide good assistance Here I am very impressed. That helps every time Without having to wait for a long time. As for the product delivery, it's not that slow. Even in the time of Covid-19. I get things fast, even if I deliver like EMS also Overall I am very impressed.

I have used Buyee to purchase several vintage stereo items from Japan.
Japanese products are of outstanding quality, and Buyee provides an convenient way to purchase.
The service is easy to use but the website, particularly with regard to the shipping process, needs to be improved. Buyee's customer service promptly responded to my inquiries about my packages. Impressive.

The only problem with Buyee is that international shipping costs are really very high. Aliexpress sells low quality products from China appears to use some type of subsidized shipping scheme because the international shipping costs are lower than sending a letter from one city in Canada to another.

I'd far rather buy from Japan than anywhere else and if shipping were cheaper, I'd use the service a lot more.
Overall, its a very reliable service with good customer service.

Bought a vintage toy graded as "No obvious damage" from seller. There were certain cracks when item was received which were not shown in pics. Wrote to Buyee which did not want to review my case as I did not buy insurance. They later insisted that the product looked the same. When I enquired further Buyee claimed even if I have bought their insurance they would still not have refunded. I asked to left a bad review for their seller which they refused. Their view was I could have asked more questions on the product before buying. Please be careful when bidding. If anything goes wrong it is very difficult to get help from their customer service team.

I bought vintage rare dolls from Mercari and Yahoo. The website is easy to use. But customer service is not good at time as they couldn't accede to my request by helping me to ask the seller to combine the items on 1 page so that i can place all the items from the same seller under 1 order to avoid paying multiple service fee and payment fee. Their payment fee and service fee is very expensive. The consolidation request is also very expensive. It's hard to get their customer service on live chat. They usually take 1 day later to reply to e-mail which is quite long.

I have used Buyee for about two years now and, for the most part, am very happy with my experiences with Buyee. Their customer service is excellent and responds quickly to inquiries. I especially like shopping via Buyee to purchase things from Mercari.

I also appreciate how they handled the various shipping problems (due to COVID19), by offering to store packages in their warehouse until the restrictions are lifted, and also offering to repackage packages that are returned to their warehouse.

I'm taking off one star for their international shipping fee, it is absurdly expensive in comparison to other e-commerce sites based in Japan. I would shop with them more if they didn't charge such high costs for their international shipping.
