Horrible Experience. I purchased a dishwasher which was determined to have a defect after installed. Once it was installed it was leaking water and we would not have determined the leak unless it was installed. BUT since the dishwasher got installed they would not replace or return. They left me with a defective $1600 dishwasher. If you buy from build.com plan for the product to be yours, whether it's working or not. I found multiple reviews online with similar experience. I have a whole house reno to do and will not be using build.com. A $1600 lesson for me, but costing the company thousands more because they have lost my business for good.
This company does not accept returns even if you are going to re-order a different item. Also, it took 4 days on hold just to get someone to tell me they do not accept returns even if you will pay for the return shipping. Don't make the same mistake... AVOID OR GET BURNED.
We purchased an Anzzi faucet through Build. The faucet, despite the price, is very poor quality and started leaking and failed within 9 months of install. We contacted Build and they referred us to the manufacturer. When the manufacturer was totally unreachable by email or phone, we reached out to Build again and explained the issue, we bought a product through Build and could not get a response from the manufacturer. Build reiterated that they are unwilling to do anything to assist, as it had been more than 3 months since the purchase. Their total refusal to stand behind products they sell should discourage you from shopping with them.
I included a picture of the inside of our sink cabinet. It looks like this so we can limit the amount of water that gets into and behind our sink cabinet.
I purchased two sinks at $85 each. I thought they were vessel sinks, but they were actually wall mount sinks. So I wanted to return them. They charge $25 each to return the sinks. My initial purchase is $170 and I'm getting back $120. THEY WERE GOOD DURING COVID BECAUSE EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED BUT NOW - I'LL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN
I purchased a toilet on the Amazon Market Place from Build.com. I was waiting for delivery by following the info on my Amazon account. Info stated that the toilet would be delivered 9/17/20. When checking tracking, none was available.
After not receiving my toilet by 9/22/20, I contacted seller thru Amazon's website. Was informed that the item was returned because I had not contacted the carrier to set up a delivery. I was also charge $150 for the return shipping. I said I was never contacted. Found out that this was incorrect, and they had sent me an email on 9/7/20 stating I needed to contact the carrier. The email was titled Amazon Market Place, and I overlooked it.
I do take partial blame for this, but am very, very disappointed that Build.com made a minimal effort to contact me. One email, no phone call, no text. I have purchased multiple large items thru Amazon and never had this occur.
I learned my lesson, and will never purchase direct from Build.com, and will make sure to check the seller on Amazon, to make sure I never purchase from them again.
I ordered a front door hardware set May 26,2020. I have contacted three different (now four) agents about the "back order" and received zero results. There is simply no customer care after the sale is made. Jhh
Received my exhaust fan cover. It was the wrong part and it was cracked. Tried to call. Was on the phone for 37 minutes before I hung up. Went to the website to return the item. The website refused my order number.
I would put less than 1 star if possible. I'm doing a full remodel and I innocently placed an order for a toilet and then canceled it. It's been almost 3 months and I still cant get my money back. I used my apple pay and ordered a toilet I've never seen and that was returned immediately after shipping since I canceled my order. You will never see your money returned to you if you change your mind or make a mistake ordering - BEWARE - I am out over $800 dollars. I have called and I was able to get thru once after 2 hours of being on hold... only to be told I should see the money in a few days. That was two weeks ago. I have sent emails and call almost daily and just wait on hold. I will go any where but here...
Ordered a few products. Got them super fast and returned super fast. A month and a half later after they received the first unused still in the box part I have not received a refund. Waiting on both. Sent an email, we'll see? Forget trying to chat or call because they do not answer and the only email so fair has been generic. Vary disappointed in what I thought would have been a top lever company with excellent service. Hope I'm not out $250?
Buyer beware - This site charges for returns without advising you when you complete the return process. I found out about the shipping charges after the refund was applied to my credit card. I will never shop here again.

If you want to waste time waiting almost an hour to get hold of anyone, buy items from this site. An item i returned has been delivered back, it's been 2 weeks and still waiting for refund.
Ordered two days ago, still can't even get the order past the hold status as they are waiting for their finance team to approve something however all info is valid and working with my credit card. They overcomplicate their backend it seems
We ordered a Signature, "High Toilet" for senior citizen and paid over $500 for it. In discussion with the Sales Person, he confirmed that this was a higher toilet... When it arrived, you could not tell whether it was a high toilet... it was installed and confirmed by plumber that it was a standard size. We called build.com and spoke to two very disagreeable men who appeared to get everything we were explaining wrong, repeating themselves, reversing what we had already said, and finally saying that they could not even reimburse us in a partial credit. One of the representatives was not professional enough and even hung up on us. They are now saying, upon the third call to them, that if the toilet is 16 and half inches from floor up than it is considered a high toilet!... This is not true because the old removed toilet was a 25 yrs old one and was considered at that time a "STandard toilet" which this new toilet from build.com compares with in height. 20 yrs. Ago they did not have high or higher toilets and all toilets were Standard... Now they are trying to make us understand that We ordered a 16 and half inch toilet which is now considered high... The whole thing is extremely misleading and they are not willing to comprimize on this at all!
I purchase 500,000 a year from various websites. I placed an order with build.com for 6000. They couldn't get it delivered. I went around to the manufacture that they get from and had it shipped overnight. Terrible company stay away.
Great experience with this company. The shower was delivered to my address in completely perfect condition. Very good pricing, very quick turn around time.
Have waited more than 8 days for a response, call, hold times are ridiculous. Left messages, no answer. They have my money and I have nothing. I decided I would give them terrible reviews while I am on hold.
Very slow business. Might be the pandemic. Build.com quoted a 3 month period to receive the air condition unit, I decided to ask for a refund and I found a unit else where. It is even taking a long time to get my refund deposited into my bank account.
I discovered this business in July 2020, and have placed four different orders with them... for Atlas switch plates (first order), Hinkley light fixtures (second and third orders), and a Hunter ceiling fan (fourth order). Each time, the items were delivered quickly and came in perfect condition. For my second order of Hinkley lights, I even emailed them and asked for a specific lower price. They asked for my cart number, and they changed the cost of the items to what I wanted to pay.
I dealt with a guy from the company named Clay. It did take a few days to get everything situated, as I was initially talking to a representative that passed the request on to him. The short wait was worth the $90 discount, though.
They will not accept returns on appliances. I got roasted on Lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. No customer service here. Stay away from Builder.com

Answer: I don't know how you can actually get them to answer the correct lead time. I received an estimated ship date when I ordered an American Standard faucet. Then, they emailed me 3 more times with delays. I called them after the first delay, and while I was on the phone with the agent, she placed me on hold and called American Standard, and said they told her that there would be no more delays. After this last delay, I called to cancel the order. They said they would "request cancellation" from American Standard. The big problem is they charged my account IMMEDIATELY when I ordered the product, but won't refund the money until American Standard confirms the cancellation. The service agent i spoke with escalated to her supervisor, and the supervisor is the worst person I have ever encountered when dealing with customer service.
Answer: Sorry to hear that. What finish were you trying to match? Usually its best ti use the same brand name when trying to match a finish, such as a Moen faucet to match a Moen towel bar or towel ring. That is because everybody has their own technique of making their products. I wonder if the finish on your new American Standard faucet is doesn't match because the other item you're matching in not made by American Standard. You should be able to return it if it hasn't been installed in any way and you still have the original packaging. While we do have an occasional defect get sent out, we are always quick to send a new one out to the customer.
