I am a builder in Atlanta and I have tried to use Build.com for years. Long story short... they screwed me again. I spoke to Jordan, a CSR, and placed an order through my pro account. He took my AMX #, checked the bill to and ship address, told me which warehouse the product would shipping the item, and gave me a tentative delivery date. As it turns out all of this was too difficult for the order taker to handle and my order was never input. I have a whole house reno to deliver and the kitchen sink is easily described as vital... Second time this has happened within a year with this company. STAY AWAY... they are slow, inefficient and no effort to be best price, even for regular business with a price match request.
The customer service is top notch. If you're patient you can snag item you want for reasonable prices during sales. They have a lot of stuff that places like Lowes or Home Depot don't have, especially lighting fixtures.
Delivered as offered. The only site with a discounted price. We will use Build.com again after three good experiences. Our last purchase was a Delta faucet. A much better price than Amazon. And they delivered quickly.
I ordered a shower door, and was told it would ship in a week. This was my 3rd, and last purchase. Three weeks later, on my 3rd call to check on the status, a very nice guy said the shower door would ship in another month. He was very apologetic, almost as if he'd had this conversation many times before. Once again, I had to cancel order and I finally learned my lesson. Their prices are good, and products look great on the website. But the service is absolutely horrible. I feel bad for the people who work there.
I am pro buyer.I ordered and received a microwave in late 2018. It came damaged from Build, so I called Build, and they told me they would look into it. I sent photos and everything the rep asked at the time. The problem was I am contractor, and the customer took the day off to have it installed. I removed $100 from my quoted price and installed. Now they are having shorts in the microwave itself. It was a Fridgeaire microwave, I will not purchase for myself or anyone else. I called Build and they told me to call the manufacture. I asked if they ever "looked into the damaged microwave" (hoping to get a direct replacement) and was told no notes provided or info (Darnell the customer rep at Build). I never do business again. Close to $50k business over the years. I take my business somewhere else. STAY AWAY<...
I am a long time user of build.com. I constantly get what I have come to expect superior service before and after the sale. Love the project section on the website I set up a portfolio on all my custom builds and use it to order when needed. This is a great time saver.
When we remodeled our bathrooms and kitchen, we purchased all of the faucets and other plumbing connections from Build.com. They had the best prices and carried everything you could hope to find. When I had a question, they were very helpful and knowledgeable. Later, we purchased our dining room chairs from the same site! I will continue to use them.
I've been purchasing products from Build.com for close to ten years now and am always impressed by the pricing, delivery and great customer service I get from the People at Build.com. If I am not around my laptop or in a place where my smart phone isn't so smart, I just call up my sales rep and he's right on top of things for me. He gets me any current discounts/coupons and places my order for me in no time flat.
Great company to work with. Makes the hassle of ordering things a great experiance.

I depend on Biuild.com always having what I need getting it to me in a timely manner, and if there is a problem taking care of it immediately. It's been this way since day one with them for many many years now!
The scheduled delivery of a wine fridge has not showed up at our house yet, they are supposed to call on that day for delivery or leave a note but we have had neither, so far we are 3 days later than scheduled delivery
Orders are always delivered on time. Staff is helpful in finding the right products that we are looking for.
This company should not be trusted all they have is lies about when you are going to receive your product and they act like they have no responsibility after they take your money.

As a Builder and PRO buyer with Build.com we would have expected much better customer service after placing an order with build.com This item was ordered after chatting with a representative. This item has not delivered, still in transit. We receive a quote from another online site that is 15% less. We call build.com to discuss the $150 price difference, they ask us to email them the quote, which we did. They respond that they will not price match and informed us appliances are not returnable and if we refused delivery there would be a 25% charge along with a $150 restock fee. Not cool. They have just lost our business here in Atlanta, G
I ordered my tub over a week ago I have no bathroom and no tub at the moment! I get promised everyday that it's coming I am cancelling my order and paying the extra money to get it from a local store they are pathetic
Extremely disappointed with Build.com. We ordered 7 doorknobs in JANUARY and still have yet to receive them. We were charged immediately upon ordering and were given a delivery date of mid January. Kid you not, when we checked in (after not receiving them on that date) the estimated shipping date had been pushed back two weeks. Then another two weeks. Then ANOTHER two weeks. THEN they said they shipped the order and it was lost. This pattern continued until they sent one of seven, and the current estimated shipping date is now 4/26. Just ridiculous. We really wanted these products, that is why we waited, but every time we called, customer service told us they would be shipped in the next two weeks. Just wish they would have told us these were back ordered to x date and we would have made other arrangements. Disappointing. Doing a full renovation of our home and will not be using Build.com again. Just cannot count on them.
Placed a Schlage Hardware order with the assistance of one of their Pro Reps, with a clear understanding I needed the door hardware order by a specific date. I explained I would gladly pay for 2nd day shipping to assure delivery. The attendent talked me out of the 2nd day shipping and assured me I would receive the hardware in time to complete and close out a remodel job for our client. I am typing this on day #6 after placing the order and we have only received a portion of the locks. What makes it more disturbing is the service rep hasn't returned our call, even though she had time to e mail me over 5 hours ago and said she would be calling me soon. I would suggest other avenues of purchasing your supplies, if customer service is important to you.

My first purchase was made over the phone with one of their pro agents. The amount of the purchase was billed to my credit card, the specialty sink arrived in good condition and my client was thrilled. In checking my credit card statement, on the same day as this purchase I was billed for another purchase amounting to $ 557.41 which I did not recognize since I knew that I bought one item on that day. In contacting build.com I was told it was for a faucet, valve and drain which I DID NOT ORDER NOR DID I AUTHORIZE ANY CHARGE TO MY ACCOUNT. In contacting an agent, I was told the items were not shipped. This business practice destroys any concept of integrity and honesty with this company. I presume they were trying to get the extra $ 557.41 into their profit pockets in the hope that they could keep that extra profit, never supply the merchandise (that I never ordered to begin with) and that I would not check and verify my charges on my account. BUYER BEWARE!
I ordered several items for modernizing two bathrooms. Prices were ok as well as product variety. Shipment was quick and reliable, except...
1. One item went on back order without notifying me. New shipment date was arranged via chat. Actually nobody cared. Product arrived on a completely different date, no call up-front, nobody at home.
2. The toilets came without hardware to fix them on the wall. Only then I learnt that you had to order the hardware extra. The price was prohibitive. Although I chatted with an "expert" during my order, nobody made me aware of this. Good customer service is defined differently.
Very reputable company! I ordered some items for the bathroom remodeling project (Moen shower set and shower drain). Prices are affordable, deals are better than with local stores, shipping is very fast, great communication! Will order from them again. Thank you!
Sold us a damaged a Kitchen Aid hood. Dent in the front, clearly dropped on the side during transit. The item was shrink wrapped with no scuffs or scratches. Upon install, we found the marred areas and contacted them and said since our kitchen install was delayed by 10 days, we were out of the return window! Poor customer service. Only wanted to come ya a $150 store credit for a $900 item! These people are thieves

Answer: I don't know how you can actually get them to answer the correct lead time. I received an estimated ship date when I ordered an American Standard faucet. Then, they emailed me 3 more times with delays. I called them after the first delay, and while I was on the phone with the agent, she placed me on hold and called American Standard, and said they told her that there would be no more delays. After this last delay, I called to cancel the order. They said they would "request cancellation" from American Standard. The big problem is they charged my account IMMEDIATELY when I ordered the product, but won't refund the money until American Standard confirms the cancellation. The service agent i spoke with escalated to her supervisor, and the supervisor is the worst person I have ever encountered when dealing with customer service.
Answer: Sorry to hear that. What finish were you trying to match? Usually its best ti use the same brand name when trying to match a finish, such as a Moen faucet to match a Moen towel bar or towel ring. That is because everybody has their own technique of making their products. I wonder if the finish on your new American Standard faucet is doesn't match because the other item you're matching in not made by American Standard. You should be able to return it if it hasn't been installed in any way and you still have the original packaging. While we do have an occasional defect get sent out, we are always quick to send a new one out to the customer. We also communicate via email if there are any back order issues with the manufacturer that were unforeseen. Thank you!
