My retreat was canceled, and book yoga retreats is trying to keep my $422 deposit. That is obviously illegal, you can't charge money for an experience that didn't occur. The organizer refunded what they charged, as is customary and ethical, but not Book Yoga Retreats. Although this is easiest to dispute via my credit card company, I would really like to dispute this legally.

WARNING!

My booked yoga workshop was canceled by the organizers (not because of Corona, but because there were difficulties with the location). BookYogaRetreats does not want to repay my deposit of 300 EUR and I am only offered a voucher, which is out of the question for me.

This behavior is not fair and it is certainly not yogalike.

I have already informed PayPal about the matter and if that doesn't help, I'll count on my legal protection insurance on the case.

This Yoga Teacher Training is so much more than just that. It was a truly enriching experience and so special it's hard to put into words. The people of the Conscious Yoga Academy are amazing and they do a great job creating a safe space where you can heal, grow & connect to your true self again. You will learn a wholistic approach of Yoga and get the tools you need to live a peaceful and fulfilled life.
Besides that, also the location im the nature at the sea is beautiful and the food delicious!
I am deeply grateful, that I could be part of this journey. Thank you so much!

I accidentally booked a retreat for the wrong dates. I immediately started trying to undo my booking. While the retreat organizer kindly voided her invoice, the staff at BoookYogaRetreats told me I had exceeded the refund window and encouraged me to book other dates. I wrote to them as soon as I realized my mistake, so their refund window must be about 40 seconds. I take ownership of my mistake in booking the wrong dates, but most vendors won't charge you $170 for hitting the wrong key. I'll never use this site again.

Avooooooid bookyogaretreat I got my retreat canceled by the website and as so many people mentioned they refused to refund me my money back "770"$ and then they mentioned I can use it as a store credit! What if I don't want to travel I just want my money back so they refuse! Now I will handed to a lawyer to sort this out

One advice, do not book with them. If you really need it to find a yoga retreat here is 2 advices:

1- don't trust all the packages they offer you might be extremely disappointed and regret spending your money. Don't trust the review under each offer, they Cleary don't match with what you will get

2-if you find something interesting, go directly to the website of the organizer(look in Google) and book with them. Bookaretreat. Com will give you different condition such as non refundable when the organizer have much more flexible condition.

Poor costumer service, don't buy from them

I booked and paid a yoga teacher training last year due to pandemic the training was cancelled and the center itself agreed to give me my money back but this company refused and offered me a voucher un exchange which I accepted the problem is they never gave me even the voucher, they kept my money! They say that custumers we must understand how difficult is for this big multinational company to refund us so we have to help them survive the covid crisis, It is seems like a joker but it is what they say ridiculus

Do NOT book through Book Yoga Retreats - they engage in MISLEADING and DECEPTIVE conduct which is completely against what a platform about yoga should be about.

As their website enables, I changed the currency to pound sterling. I chose a retreat in England, run by a person based in England. I went back and forth negotiating with the retreat organiser and each time, she quoted me in pound sterling and sent me links to payment via Tripaneer for an amount in pound sterling.

Despite all of this, the payment was charged in Euros, meaning I was charged a 50 pound conversion fee from my credit card company. Note that the retreat organiser has no control over this - it is all the responsibility of Tripaneer.

I immediately asked Tripaneer to refund the amount and send me a new payment link so I could pay using a different credit card where I wouldn't be charged a conversion fee, but they refused time and time again. They were unable to give any reasonable explanation for why I was charged in Euros, and were completely unacommodating and uncaring.

I'd recommend using their site only to find out about retreats, then if you're interested in one research how to get into touch with the reatreat organiser directly and book through them. That way the organiser doesn't have to pay the commission to this pathetic company.

If you want peace and quiet but with activities. If you want to enjoy the sea and also the mountains. If you want a healthy and delicious food with top quality products. If you want to do yoga and meditation with a person with great experience with whom everything was very easy. If you want to feel cared for as in your earliest childhood, your perfect vacation is with Kathy.
You can also enjoy her Ayurvedic massages in which she is a true teacher.

In short, BookYogaRetreats refused a refund despite not being able to deliver a retreat.

They never once considered that this was against the UK's Competitions & Market Authority policy regarding a frustrated contract- this is when a service is not delivered after payment and thus a refund is allowed. They instead tried to put the blame on me despite the fact that COVID has interrupted everything.

I've been so disappointed by this behaviour that I have let my friends and family know why it is better to book directly with the people who actually organise the retreat rather than use this third party website. The only protection is that they keep your money for their benefit.

It's really a shame when companies are not flexible and don't reflect on how their decisions impact current and future potential customers.

My entire experience with this site has been abysmal. I've booked a training and partially paid it, it was canceled by the organizer and she did not want to reimburse me. Bookyoga didn't do anything about it, I fought for 2 months with bookyoga to get my money, at the end they gave me a voucher to spend equivalent to 60% of the price I payed at the beginning.
I booked a yoga retreat to use the voucher, but today 15 days after the retreat the organizer has not yet received the money from them that corresponds to this voucher. So I still have to call and see if one day this nitghmare is over.

I would never use this company again!
I booked under the condition that my deposit is 100% refundable if I cancel 60 days prior to the arrival date.
I cancelled and asked for a refund but they only offer a voucher valid until July 2021. Due to a medical condition, I will not be able to use the voucher. I communicated very clearly that I don't accept the voucher and ask for a refund. They just keep on sending copy and paste text blocks refusing to process the refund. Under the EU consumer law, this is illegal! I wish I would have never trusted this company in the first place!

You should be aware that what they are doing is not in line with yoga at all. Since mid-March they have withheld my funds from a RYS and at the same time pretended to grant me a refund but have not refunded me yet!
Please refund me immediately since you are obstructing and holding funds which are not yours!

Hello It was all beautiful, well organized, I Ve learned many New things about Tantra and Tantra yoga and dance, the teachers, no Need to Say, are special! They transmitted so much love and Joy during the course, they shined in the light of the Divine and Vishnu Guruji Also sent a blessing to US all'!
