I PLACED ORDER ON 5/15 AND ALMOST 30 DAYS LATER HAVE NOT RECEIVED ORDER. I HAVE CALLED AND SENT MESSAGES WITH NO RESPONSE AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TRACK WITH NUMBER GIVEN. FOR SOME REASON WAS SENT UPS AND THEN TRANSFERRED TO USPS

The books were in good condition and it was also cheap. The price is way lower that any other book sites I have encountered and the books arrived in good condition as well.

I was deeply concerned about my orders as I read the reviews after I paid for them, but was pleasantly surprised when my order of 6 books arrived within a 2 week window in Vancouver, as did an order of 7 different books sent to my sister as a birthday gift (to Oakville). They were all "bargain" books, but the minor blemishes associated with them were hardly cause for the greatly discounted prices I paid, so no complaints. I would actually rate this experience as 4.5 if I could. I only rate 5's when I experience consistently good service. So if I experience the same quality and service on my next order, I'll bump my rating up to a 5.

Amazing bargains!

I purchased 30 books for the price of 5 from a full price bookstore. I was a little skeptical after reading reviews, but I am beyond happy with my purchase. All of the books are in good to perfect condition. Will definitely be ordering from them again!

First Timer

Today I received my first order of 12 books, all 12 perfect condition.
I ordered on May 6 and received May 11, quite impressive in my opinion. I received two identical books, 1 hardcover and 1 paperback, once I looked into the situation I came to realize it was MY fault!
I am now awaiting for my second order and I feel confident that I will not be disappointed, also I recommended the book outlet to my friend.
Thank you for the great work, well done! Especially during these difficult times!

I placed an order several weeks for about 25 books. The books were shipped promptly but the order was pending at the post office for weeks. As soon as I contacted Book Outlet customer service, they declared the books lost and offered a full refund or a replacement set of anything that was still available. I asked for the replacements and they promptly shipped these out at the same time they credited my card for the titles that were no longer in stock. I think they went above and beyond all expectations in the promptness and completeness of their response, especially since it was the post office that was failing to update the shipping record or deliver the books. A big thank you to Book Outlet for outstanding service... and some great books.

I ordered about 45 books from Book Outlet a couple weeks ago and paid only $150, averaging about $3.50 per book (brand new). Initially, I was skeptical about ordering because I saw so many negative reviews, but was super pleased with my order! Although my order took about 15 days (ordered April 20, received order on May 5), it was worth the wait. All my books were in PERFECT condition and I got exactly what I ordered.

I recommend buying from here for cheap prices and quality books in good condition. All my books were labeled "Bargain Book Copy," meaning that the original book store had excess copies and needed to get rid of their brand new books. 100% recommend buying from here. As a classroom teacher, I will be buying more for my diverse classroom library :)

I've ordered from Book Outlet twice. Both times I ordered adult and children's books. Everything was exactly as described for their bargain priced books. I did not order any scratch and dent books, because I wanted them in good condition. I was very satisfied with both my purchases, and will definitely order again!

Perfect

I placed an order at Book outlet prior to doing any research of them or looking at their reviews. Once I looked up some reviews, I was quite disappointed and expecting the worst. I wouldn't have minded a little wear or slight tearing at the price I paid, but some reviews look much worse.

My books arrived after a total of 10 days (about 8 business days) and were absolutely perfect. I was surprised to find no flaw whatsoever in any of the 24 books I ordered. I think I had about 3 or 4 from the "S" - Scratch and dent category, but they all look brand new. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I got an awesome deal on excellent quality children's books. Definitely will order again.

I had already placed my order with Book Outlet and then read the negative reviews. Then I began to worry that I would never receive them! I bought these books for my children to read during Covid. Despite the negative reviews, all of the books arrived in good condition and after about 2 weeks. I would order from them again for sure - especially since the prices are great!

I had ordered a bunch of childrens books for my niece and never recieved the order. Waiting now to see if they actually refund the money or not. I had to contact them 3 times to get the response I got in the photo.

There is no guarantee that we will receive what we order. I ordered 6 books and only received 4 of them. The customer service representative was very rude and said that is how their business performs.

I have to pay the return cost of shipping. She also said that until we open the box, we will not know what we are going to receive. Buy at your own risk. What a CHEATING business. STAY AWAY from bookoutlet.ca book lovers

To update my review, I just never received my package. I had to call UPS who verified that a package was dropped off at USPS, then I had to call USPS who verified that they never received anything. I don't know what happened, but after the hassle of figuring it all out I was fortunately refunded.

I purchased a large order on Black Friday when trying to find book deals online. I'd never heard of Book Outlet but I trusted the websites that recommended them for their Black Friday sale (30% off their regularly discounted prices). When I looked up reviews on here, I realized that some of the books might be damaged, which is NOT clearly communicated on their website (I was ordering on my phone). I looked at my order and saw only two books were scratch & dent, according to them the rest would be fine, so I placed the order. I received a shipping confirmation and the money was taken about a week later. A month later, I have nothing. The tracking number they gave me works at both UPS and USPS. It looks like they used UPS to ship to USPS, which I don't understand. Tracking shows a package delivered to USPS from UPS, but nothing from there. USPS tracking says they're still waiting for the package expected on December 7th. I've had to file a missing mail request. When I called BookOutlet, they told me USPS has just been slow to update their tracking information because of the holiday season, but that doesn't explain how the package is just missing when other mail is arriving on time. I have to call back now to try to get a refund, though I'd rather have my books. Glad to see other reviewers on here are having the same problem, not because I wish this on them but because I know this experience is not just a fluke.

When ordering, I ordered for a classroom a set of books, which I was sent the spark notes off. When wanting to return them, they stated I needed to put for shipping back and shipping again for the new book. When questioned I received no help and they did not even try to correct the situation. I will never buy from them again, and I will go somewhere else for my students needs
