Bluehost seems to have a bad rep on Reddit, but they have always helped me and have been very patient and kind.
This is the worst email setup I've ever encountered. It takes five different entries to get to the email, and when I respond to emails it looks aweful, like a really cheap email host.
So far great. Moved from IPower which I understand is also owned by you but have had much better reliability with Bluehost so far.
I have had issues with my website. There are a number of times I could not save my changes or plugins were disabled without my knowledge and not enabled at the end of our chat. I've spent a lot of time trying to fix problems of which I have very little understanding. I thought Bluehost would assist me with a lot of this, but the last rep stated it was outside of the scope of Bluehost and that I should get a developer. This was not what I signed up for. I thought there would be more assistance when things go awry.
Site was hacked and you eventually fixed it and refunded most of hacked credit card payments. A few left to go.
The inconsistency of trying to access my email is ridiculous - how am I supposed to run a business like this?
I can not see the simple location that you had before on adding a domain
My website has been down for two weeks and no one can help
Bad interface redesign, confusing layout, missing functionality.
I like this place! The all-time service minded support is nice..
They often ask for screenshots. That doesn't seem to work on this unit.
I've been a customer for about ten years. The company was perfect not it's a disaster.
My domain transfer took more than 12 days to complete and support was dismissive and lack to give me concrete and coherent information about it across the whole process.
To add to the domain transfer situation, I also had problems with the system email delivery in my WordPress and so far none of the agents has been able to resolve the situation. At one point I was trying to explain the situation to a support agent, through the chat, and they ended the conversation abruptly, without reaching a solution.
I have to say that, at this point, I've lost confidence in BlueHost's ability or willingness to help me fix problems and I can only say that I do not recommend this services.
I don't know what is going on at Bluehost. Every year, my plan changes names and it's hard to track what features I specifically wanted vs these package names that don't match. Right now I just wanted to renew payment with a separate card that was charged. The payment manager is just terrible now.
I was told when I migrated my sites to another host I wouldn't be charged and now I have been charged.
I would like to see how can I recover the view I had before.
Your new layout has caused issues. You guys are then making us clients run around resetting ID's and passwords. Guess how much time of my time you have wasted.
My website got malware even though I paid for security. I deleted and resintalled it last week on the advice of one of your tech people. The secure certificate did not work. The tech put in to the wrong website. I called back - held for another hour. They said they corrected it. The site is still down two days later due to your tech installing it incorrectly. Your incompetent techs and long hold times have cost me 4 hours of my productive time and the issue is still not fixed
I have been a Bluehost customer for well over 10 years and I've never had to reach out to support, because everything always worked well and was easily fund within the dashboard and cpanel. But, lately after Bluehost changed the dashboard and the way you navigate through the hosting and setup of domains it has been a nightmare! I have had three instances in the past month that have had to be escalated to a systems admin, I was unable to access my account for over a week because support couldn't figure out the problem with my account access. I have purchased 2 domains and have tried to get them setup with Wordpress and a simple email and have had to call service with both domain purchases because of issues getting them setup and one domain I had to purchase twice. I've been extremely disappointed in the service and User Experience. I'm a UX designer and this is terribly designed and not intuitive at all. I still don't know where to go to assign a new domain to my account. I've started looking at other hosting companies because I've had such a bad experience lately.
There was a problem in moving my email from MS365 to Bluehost Professional email. It took 45 days to resolve my very simple ticket to add new email addresses to the system. I had no access to email for 3 weeks, around thanksgiving...
I had approximately 12 encounters with the help functions, chat, phone, email... each one asked me to be patient and they would resolve the problem within 24-48 hours. Each encounter took 30-90 minutes, and essentially had to start from scratch. At no point did I get a resolution ETA other than 24-48 hours.
Maybe I mis read days as hours?
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
