I have shopped online at Bloomingdale's for a long time. Free shipping is a plus! I try to buy sale items, since they are an expensive store! :)
I usually do not write reviews but in this case, I do want to warn others.
The stores are usually great but I usually shop with saks for online products as I have had great experiences with them and also shop a lot with Nordstrom.
In this instance, I could not find the size of a David Charles dress for my daughter at the other stores and Bloomingdales had it, so it was ordered with expedited shipping with other items that caught my eye. It came and I opened the box and it was for an order for another customer in another state. Products as well as the receipt in the box (which I later told the agent)
I called Bloomingdales customer service right away to see if anything could be done as she needed the dress. The service representative was mainly interested that I print out the label to return the wrong items, he actually mentioned it multiple times about dropping it off at a UPS location, this was even after I had agreed to do so ( he actually sent 2 emails with return labels). I expressed my concern at first and that I was upset and asked if there was anyway he could expedite shipping. He just said "no" then I asked if any stores had the dress( I've had Nordstrom's track down an item in a store and that sales representative emailed it overnight and I received it on time). Again, I was told that it could not be done. He stated that the new package would be coming on Tuesday ( needed dress by Monday). I again expressed my concern and then he stated to me several times that "guaranteed on Monday". I tried to ask for his name for a reference but he actually gave me an odd name and would not give his supervisor's name.
Next day I checked my email and nothing was sent, so I called customer service again. This time a more friendly gentleman but he stated to me that nothing was processed as the previous agent stated the I was a "third party." Don't know what that meant but I asked for the supervisor. He came on and stated that they had to verify everything and nothing was actually reordered. He stated that the previous order had to be cancelled and a new order be placed but it would be not even come close to the needed date. Not very apologetic about what happened before. So, I gave up and asked for my refund.
If someone had originally told me that the new order could not be filled with some apology for the mix up, I would not be writing this.
But the lies is what concerns me.
I will definitely shop elsewhere and I would recommend others do so as well as this seems to be prevalent with Bloomingdales' online reviews.
I am getting used to online dating. Blloomingdale is a litte bit hard to use. But there are a lot of profiles. Cool
The makeup the perfume its like the worlds largest boutique store it does feel like a department store
I wanted to place an order on 10-9-16 and after spending almost 1/2 an hour talking to someone named Richard, I had to give up and hang up the phone. They have the mentality of they are doing us a favor by taking our order and are not very informative.
I placed an order online for a $75 gift card on Bloomingdale's. I received an email stating that I needed to call Customer Service to have it processed. So I did. I was on the phone for 20 minutes.
Since I live internationally, I was told to give a US phone number. I gave them my friend's phone number, who was sent a voice-mail with the reference #. I called back with the reference # and I was placed on hold for 20 minutes. I was told that my order had to be verified.
After the "brief" hold, I was told that my order wasn't processed. When I asked why, the person told me that they couldn't say why and that I had to contact my bank and that the next time I was in the US, I should fix it.
Just ordered a new comforter for my bedroom. Quality is excellent. Color is a little off from website
Great store! And great deals can be found. Great customer service
Returns are very complicated. Make sure and double check that you are getting the right size and that you are 100% sure you want the item.
I think the bloomingdale's offers authentic stuff. But maybe the price is a bit less than acceptable. So i only purchased when there was a deal.
Classic, great clothes, have been buying from them for 40 years always stylish
Great quality of clothes and perfect fit! A lot of places are not true to size
Bloomingdale's should have more special sales days!
I thought its a luxury store but the associate at YSL (his name was Jason) was very rude and disrespectful and he yell at me and threw everything with anger and gave the bag to me walked away without saying anything! This is the way u guys treat people?
Love this site. I'm a loyalist so get great discounts and service. The best!
These dresses are out of this world! I always tell my friends that if they are thinking of a great gift for me it should be a Bloomingdale's gift card.
Expensive but usually worth the cost. I always check there for trends and prices before I shop anywhere else.
I used to work for Bloomingdales in Aventura Fl. From there customer service department to the managers from the store are horrible. They need to train their customer service associates and managers in better how to handle situations.
I used to work for Bloomingdales and I did a return, it has taken them exactly one month to credit back into my bank account. I have spoken to several different supervisors one of then by the name of Linda another supervisor by the name of Sherrea and a manager by the name of Marlina they are all from their customer service department which they are horrible in handling situations.
So if anyone is thinking about working for Bloomingdales don't even try is a nasty company to work for.
No diff, maybe a bit cheap than Macy's, have have no reason to go out of my to shop there.
Answer: Most people who shops at Bloomingdales either the store or online rarely care to do reviews on products bought. This is not Amazon. You are on your own. Even the stores website keep asking for feedback but they rarely listen. Compare the website, their product description, etc with other similar stores like Nordstrom, IT SUCKS
Answer: Just google it and the search engine will take you there.
