Waste of money, time! But most of all getting sick by wanting more and more spending money, money seems like just a number, you do not realise how much you spend, untill you find yourself with empty credits! It is like gambling, the only difference is that with gambing there is a posibility you win OR loose, whie with this biddings you ONLY LOOSE and waste other's money by getting them also excited. I have spent 50 dollars- STUPID should have read this site first to get others review of the site, anyway I saw some were autobidding same user for over 100 bids - me incuded, and at the end we both lost and the user who was bidding many items with autobidding won the auction. I am pretty sure it is a non existing user, as no one would add autobid for more then 100 bids per item!

I've read all the comments made by other annoyed bidders/users. As much as it is very true that this site is a "scam" or use whatever word you like, it is also pure business genius.
I'll admit i am a victim of this money making scheme, but i was given every opportunity before and after i signed up to read the Ts and Cs of the site, as you are with any site or business that involves money. As well as that, any person who passed grade 2 maths can work out that $1 = $0.02 a bid. Then all you need to do is use your brain or if you need to a calculator to work out just how much money the site makes from all bidders per auction. For those of you playing at home and still can't work it out, a PS3 (valued at $500 RRP) that sells for $20 has 1000 bids on it which equals $1000. Now providing all bids are legit that would equal a total profit of $570 for the site, ofcourse add on a bit more profit cause they probably didnt pay RRP for the product. They do also have PS3s that sell for $14 which they wouldnt make much if anything on, or $78 which they make a bucket load.
This business is no different from buying a Coke at McDonalds which cost them $0.07 to make and is charged at $1.80, that's almost a markup of 2500% but knowone calls them scammers.
As far as im concerened im sure they are a legit business, but just prey on those of us who either don't read the fine print and get sucked in to the excitement of an auction without the thought of losing any money, (which they nicely hide as bids or credits) or think its an easy way of saving a dolar without adding things up before hand.
I guess it comes down to the individual, read the Ts and Cs, do the sums and make your decision from there cause as much as we would like to blame them its really just our fault.
By the way im not plugging these guys, as i said i was a victim too but just think if they are happy to lower their moral values to make the sort of money that they are then i hope they can sleep well at night, i know i can.

This sight looks good from the outside, but once you have been drawn into the bidding you soon realise that it is one of the greatest scams out. I purchased $150 worth of bids but with these bids each dollar generated $0.02 onto the best buying price. So everytime you made a bid the price went up 2 cents but it cost you $1. If you are lucky enough to win the it you then have to pay the price you had bidded aswell.
So if I were to win an ipod touch 3 gen which usually costs around $400 but I win at $86.00, I use all my bid points which is $150 which gave me just over 150 bid points.
Add the $150 plus the $86 which in actual fact I pay $230.00 for the item.

But thats not all if you caculate that each $1 adds $0.02 to the bid then work out how many $0.02 go into $86 then you have the amount the Bidfun company are really making on this item or any item. $86 divided by 0.02 = $4300. Not a bad scam if you ask me. Remembering that each $0.02 cost $1.

A scam because all the bidders are Robots created to automatically outbid any possible real bidder. I have proof that it is a scam. If you compare two or more bidfun sites together at any time e.g. I compared the. co.uk and. Com and com.au sites:

- The same Usernames appear for all the Live and Finished auctions
- The Robots use "Automatic" and "Manual" bids that make it look like a variety of people are bidding.
- The number of people online is the same for all bidfun websites! Now isn't that a coincidence? It isn't a real count of online users, just a fake display (which changes to convince you that people are logging in and out).
- The times of when the auctions end are the same time (for a Sony PSP):
--07/06/2010 (European date format) 21:07:37 was won by STEFLOV in bidfun.co.uk at GBP 3.69.
--06/07/2010 (American time format) 04:07:37 STEFLOV won the auction at USD 3.69
--08/06/2010 (European date format) 06:07:37 STEFLOV won the auction at AUSD 7.38

- The trail of last bidders are the same names at the same times.
--STEFLOV (Automatic)
--carpiste13 (Manual)
--STEFLOV (Automatic)
--polipo62 (Manual)
--STEFLOV (Automatic)
--boulou123 (Manual)
--STEFLOV (Automatic)
--boulou123 (Manual)
--STEFLOV (Automatic)
--Pureza64

So definitely you will never win. I am going to close my account now! The inventors of such websites are greedy and deceitful.

Maybe a scam, definetly shady. The concept is a good one for all parties involved if the site actually did what it said. They obviously have people/ a program that bids on items to steal them away from actual customers. I saw the same user name bidding on an Ipod Touch, Nintendo DS, Wii, Laptop, and Flashdrive at the same time. They don't even try to hide it, they display other items for bid on the same page you are watching your item. I counted and in just a matter of a few hours here and there 3 users putting a couple hundred bids on various items. Come on, who is really going to do that on the off chance they might not even win? And then pay more for items then they retail in stores. And why would you auto-bid 9 hours before something expires when someone can come in a few seconds before it ends and steal it? This site is ridiculous. I guarantee they would make the same amount of money doing things legitametly, and getting both new and RETURN customers. Save your money and listen to all of the negative reviews, I should have.

This site is a complete rip off. I just can't imagine how they can still legally host this site. I had reviewed the other posts and agree 100% on their assessment. I thought that something was fishy with this site from the beginning. So I was very cautious. I spent $50 through PayPal, thinking that I will be protected if something goes wrong. But the sad truth is that I was not. PayPal did not want to get involved as according to them, they can only do so if physical goods were purchased. I then fought the charge through the credit card company giving all the proof I could but was just informed a couple of days ago that they did not see any issues with the transaction. As a matter of fact, there was a subliminal message that if I chose not to pay the charge, my credit rating may get affected. This site lures people advertising that people save unbelievable money by bidding on items. Something like 90 - 95%. But the trick is, when you buy your chips, they convert your dollar to a penny. So if you spend $50 you get 50 cents to play with. So a $10 item that was bid and won at $1 is advertised at being won at a 90% savings when in reality, the $1 is in fact 100 cents that were purchased with $100. So the $10 item was sold for $100 by the site. This site needs to be shut down to protect unsuspecting consumers. I pity those folks that have lost their hard earned money at this site.

What a joke
May 3, 2010

What a joke. You are bidding against no one. It's a computer that never lets you win but people just keep buying bids. That's probably why they offer free shipping! They have never had to ship anything. I bought 100 bids to prove my point. I just kept bidding on an item and the "other bidder" would bid higher than me less than a second later. I took an item that was very high priced already by "bid fun" standards with 1 second left and bid it all the way up about 70 times in a row. I bid 2, 8, 10 times in a row as fast as i could slap the enter key and each time i would be outbid by the time all my bids cycled by one penny by the same dude. Even though there was 20 minutes left on the timer towards the end he would keep bidding each time. I spent al little over 100 bucks to prove this site was b. S. so you won't have to. Do not condone any of these type of sites by even getting involved. You can't win. No one ever wins. The end. My only consolation will be my involvement in a hopefully future class action lawsuit. Lol

BBW!
May 3, 2010

BBW! As in Buyer be Aware! Thanks for all these postings on this site.
I was almost hooked into this scam as well, did the research to find 99%
Negative feed back - where are all the site winners and feed backs? None
To be found. I'm appreciative that others had to loose their honest $ to
Advise the gullible folk looking for value and fairly priced consumer items.
I advise to delete the site from your bookmarks, browser history and any links on your computers. Nothing in this world should cost $1 for. 02 cents unless you like to gamble and play odds of ******* to 1 to actually win a deal.

This is my. 02 cents worth (a better value).

Everything that i have read about this site is bad, If it sounds to good to be true then it probly is 99.99% of the time. I will stick to ebay and I don't click on any ads there either just in case. I have been watching bidfun.com for a while now and it looks very suspicious and it does look like they are using bid bots to outbid you. I will never, ever bid there and i will stay on sites like ebay, i have been on ebay since 2001 and i have bought a lot of items there but i have got burned 1 time there but i got is straighted out.

Well I guess i am not that smart after all! II have 19 credits left, started with 50! Really didn't think enough before giving them $50, now i release that every time i click i lose $1 if someone else bids after me. They have the $#*!en thing rigged, they must have some type of bench mark and when its reached they allow some VERY VERY VERY lucky person to win that item, just to keep others interested and to suck in new suckers, like me! And Yah they have programed up automatic bidder agents, I am a programmer myself, not to hard to do, IT bids after you and keeps doing it until it leaves you dry. This is the first and last scam I'll be sucked in, I hope others do there research first before giving them low life scum bags a cent. They should get a kick up the $#*!, maybe I'll get some hackers onto them to bring their hell hole down once and for all. Thanks BidFUn.com I really had fun at your site with your cool javascript, and ajax, maybe we should inject U.
Merry Xmas,

I decided to check out eBay for a Nintendo DSI as my 10 year old daughters one she got for Christmas was stolen (her fault), and thought I could replace it cheaper for her birthday, when on the eBay site a flashing sign came up saying 'cheap Nintendo DSI's available to bid on at bidfun.' Since this was advertised on eBay, i thought they were connected and decided to buy 50 credits and bid. Thought that if I lost out, I would still have the 50 credits to try and bid again, which is obviously what they want people to think. I'm annoyed that I was able to access this site through eBay, and they don't make it clear that you will loose your money if you don't win. Now I'm down the dsi and 50 bucks. :(

I won a hard drive very cheap. But then lost alot of money trying to win a camera then became suspicious of the other bidders and found WILLIE2BUY named here and the bells rang in my head after losing $200 or more. I should have gone to the casino or actually brought the item i needed from a real seller. In my 15 years on the internet, this has been my silliest mistake.

I hate anything where you have to wait to see if you can buy. It is a gamble.
If you do want a bargin where you look at what you want to buy, check postage out, spend 80c and have a look what price it has gone down to, you then decide to buy or not buy, look here, real bargins, you pay 1 80c credit and you choose, buy or not. As shopping should be. www.dubli.com/*******

This site is a scam, first you pay for your bids, so it looks like your getting a deal until you see how it works. Ou end up paying more for th product than you would if you bought it outright. If you look at what there doing you'll notice if a product is bought off the auction for lets say $32.01. The company just sold that for $3,201.00 each bid takes the price up. 01 cents. But each bid costs the bider appox. 1.00 each bid. This is a huge scam. Stay AWAY!

Complete and utter scam. Not because of the way in which payment works but because some of the bidders on the site are almost certainly planted by bidfun in order to force you to bid again and again. You may eventually win but it will cost you a lot. Also I have yet to find one person who claims to have won and subsequently received their item. Just a point...

Just an update to my previous post. I did receive a brand new PS3. And interestingly enough, it came from Amazon.com.

In my opinion, this site is NOT a scam, and it is LEGIT. You just have to understand their (very smart) business model and you will understand how someone like me can get a brand new PS3 for $24.

Take my bid for an example: say if the bidding started at $10. And I got it for $24, do the math and you see that at "one cent increase each bid", this item got over 1,400 bids, from people all over the world. At $1 a bid, BIDFUN got over $1,400 for something that sells for $299. There is no reason why they don't ship you the item. So I was the lucky guy who benefited from it.

Of course I only did this once so I am not sure if I will win again, but i will try again should i see something else i need there.
