I have been a B&H customer for nearly 40 years, I used to go to their store on 17th street in NYC to buy all of my photo gear. I was a professional photographer in NY for 25 years. The guys there were all knowledgeable and polite, and even laughed at my jokes. Many good times there. The prices are the best, and the inventory is astounding. You rock B&H!
I have dealt with B&H for over 20 years. I usually buy items for photography but I have bought many items not associated with photography. Never had ANY problems.
Why? Because when you search for something, it actually shows you what you searched for instead of ten thousand things that have nothing to do with your search. And then you can further refine it by things that make sense.
Better than Amazon. Vast inventory of the stuff that photographers really want. And if you live in much of the Mid-Atlantic you get free overnight shipping. And not tax!
BH always takes care of their customers. The amount of gear they have and at the best prices is why I always keep coming back to B&H.

I only shop at B & H for my photography gear needs. Buying something is really easy.
I only have three things that I don't like:
1. The photos posted for professional gear are abysmal; no quality control seems to be applied, and the reason this is a problem is that other people looking to buy that gear will be taught that bad photos are great. That's bad for photography.
2. Shipping. Takes too long to get an order unless one forks over a ridiculous amount of money. We already spent a ton on the gear, so we sort of need a break in shipping since there are no local stores anymore.
3. I get charged extra money for returning something. That's just predatory and unnecessary. If something isn't marked clearly, and it turns out to be the wrong item for what I need, I shouldn't be charged for sending the item back in its original packaging unharmed. I would understand being charged if there's damage to the product but when no damage was done, it is not cool to be charged extra.
Very easy to make purchase. I have done business with them before, always easy with great customer support.
B&H photo. When amazon and others fail either in the price delivered or selection these guy always deliver when you need it and being on the East coast delivery has always been free and with in 2 days... cant wait to visit the store in N Y C.

I've been buying from B&H Photo and Video for more than 30 years - that's before there were Amazon, the Internet, and the Personal Computer! I'd found them through print ads in magazines. They've always had great prices, excellent selection, and exceptional customer service. They are one of my go-to sites for electronics, photography and video equipment.

Answer: ANy refurbished item we sell has been refurbished by the manufacturer or official US distributor, Nikon USA or Canon USA etc. Other used items are each rated on a numeric scale and we tend to be conservative so customers are not disappointed.

Image quality is very important to us, but it's balanced with ease of loading across a variety of browsers and customer connections ranging from super-speedy to snail-like.
We make every effort to ship the say we receive an order as long as it gets to us before the daily cut-off time. Thereafter the speed of delivery depends on which shipping method a customer selects, and the shipper. Most items can be shipped with free shipping within the "lower-48" US states and speeder rush service is available, at a higher s&h fee.
There is no charge tor return an item unless it does not conform to our return policy, Then, k a restock fee may be applied.
