Website is easy to navigate. Checkout process is easy. Chat is always able to answer any questions I've had. Items always arrive when promised, if not earlier. B&H is my main supplier.

I'VE BEEN A B&H CUSTOMER FOR MANY, MANY YEARS. THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT. THEY HAVE WHAT I WANT AND EVEN A FEW THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW I WANT, IT'S ALWAYS DELIVERED PROMPTLY AND IN GOOD ORDER AND ON THE VERY FEW OCCASIONS THAT I HAD TO RETURN AN ITEM, IT WAS EASY. I TRULY LOVE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM.
I've purchased a number of pieces of equipment from B&H and it has always been fast, simple and easy.
I've had my worst online experience ever with them, but after reading some of the reviews on other sites, I figured it out.
So, if you are not american, or you don't have a pure american name, you will have to submit a verification, being international shopper, seems fine, some sites used to do it in 2010.
I've submitted the verification request 4-5 times, and contacted their customer service also 3-4 times, and everytime you mail them, they send you a ref number, I useless Ref number that you can't use for follow up.
6 days passed, I decided to DM them on twitter, and I managed to get in touch with one of the directors ( communication) he seemed helpful ( at least someone replying) so I mailed them my last verification with ID, work email and I asked them if they needed more (as usual no reply just another ref number) was last Thursday and they went off till Monday.
By now more than 15 days had passed, since i got a load of ref numbers I decided to mail the latest one to their communication director hoping he will get back to me with an update, instead he replied to me in a discriminating tone, instead of explaining to me what went on with his verification team, he went on to tell the number I mailed is not the order number.
It seemed he saw that I got an Arab name, so probably I still ride a camel and live in a tent, and might stole the credit card I paid with from a tourist.
So I decided, to cancel the order and since there's a reasoning option I chose to type it myself and I put my reasons, was hoping someone would get back to me to get clarification like proper businesses, they cancelled it instantly like they were praying I do it.
What I'm unhappy about that the days I wasted following up with their bot, getting my mail filled with Ref numbers that I should say it again, you can't use to follow up, just randomly generated numbers.
And Henry Posner don't jump here offering support now, because when I needed your support you did nothing.
Flawless ordering. Always have what I need when I need it, fast shipping and great prices! I shop around online and always seem to keep coming back to B&H Photo for my final purchase.
They instantly rejected my online application, without explanation. A letter will come in several days with a phone # I can call. Very rude. I have top credit ratings.

B&H Photo/Video has been my go-to website and store for all of my equipment. They are reliable, fast, and quality. I've been using them for over 20 years and they have never let me down.

I used to rely on Amazon to get electronics, and got burned endlessly. The problem is that (1) many Amazon sellers use Amazon to offload their "class B" stock - items that were broken, returned, refurbished, damaged, etc. And (2) Amazon "bins" similar stock from all sellers. After returning everything three times, I started going to B&H. They are worthy of my trust. And if I occasionally get a bad item, they provide first class support to replace it.
I've been shopping with them for years. They don't raise prices on products that are in short supply. They are honest. I've had to do returns with them (not because of something on their end), and everything went fine.
They have what I want. They have great prices and have always met their shipping projection. I've never been disappointed.
Photography is an expensive addiction. But if you must partake, you cannot go wrong buying from B&H Photo.

Answer: ANy refurbished item we sell has been refurbished by the manufacturer or official US distributor, Nikon USA or Canon USA etc. Other used items are each rated on a numeric scale and we tend to be conservative so customers are not disappointed.
