This year I made my first business with B&H Phot Video by exchanging a Christmas gift last January. The gift was a Polaroid photo printer and as a guy who rather keeps his pics on Flickr, Facebook or Google Drive than in dust gathering frames, I have no use for it. Good thing is it took only a two minute call to get everything done to return the photo printer. Once I got my refund in form of a gift card, I bought an unlocked phone, a memory card and an audio cable. The checkout process was easy and my phone arrived 4 days later without any problem. Pretty neat company. BTW the price of the phone was cheaper in this store than on Amazon or Newegg.
I have purchased cameras, lenses, accessories from B&H via the Internet. Every order was accurately filled & shipped in a timely manner. I ordered a used lens that had an intermittent problem & I also wasn't happy with the image quality. The customer service rep did not question my decision & emailed all info needed to return the lens free of charge without a restocking fee. They emailed me when they received the lens & refunded it back to my credit card. You can absolutely feel safe ordering from B&H. You will be treated fairly, & with respect.

By tracking code my package is lost in Germany on November 12, and to the Republic of Moldova did not go.

This is the first time I used B&H Photo. I ordered an Olympus TG4 camera and the more expensive add-on telephoto lens. I received the telephoto lens box with a less expensive fish-lens inside the telephoto box. In addition, there was no paperwork in the box. Seems to me I received a return or refurbished item when ordering and paying for a new item. B&H was happy to send me a return shipping label and replace the item once they received the return. I would be charged for the lens a second time if I wanted it next day air. If time is of the essence, be careful ordering from B&H and check you items very carefully. I was not happy with the outcome of this and will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
Great choice and service. I buy all my camera equipment for hobby photography here because of the great choice for a really good price. Customer service is also available easily.
They have every brand of everything BUT what they really have is a VERY SMART STAFF that will spend time with you and guide you not by price but by what you need. They are honest. They will teach about things, why this is too much camera for me or why the older model is just as good.
It is really nice to know, I can always trust them. And I have for over a decade. No tax and maybe free shipping.
B&H has always been a good photography store for different things
Because you can easily miss a lot of cool deals - for example - not so long ago they've been selling refurbished Nikon D7100s for a little price - it was a steal. SO i grabbed one. Now I'm as happy as an elephant!: DD
Good prices for camera gear and other electronics. Occasionally you'll find prices lower elsewhere, but if you can't trust the order will come as promised, it's not worth the risk to go somewhere else.
They are owned by people who observe Jewish holidays, so occasionally you have to wait a few hours before placing an order.

I ordered a new 4K monitor and it arrived defective. The menu would not even come up on the screen when you press the hardeward buttons. I called Dell customer support and got a third world country (one of many reasons why I despise Dell). They confirmed the monitor is defective. I call B&H and they tell me to ship it back and then they'll send me a new one. I say that will take 10 days and AMAZON and other retailers would ship a new one immediately and then send you a prepaid label that would start a credit immediately at drop off at a UPS location. B&H said in order for me to get a new monitor that is not broken more quickly, I would need to purchase a second one. I did that. Two day shipping was included. They had to adjust the price because the monitor had already gone up in price. Monday (the third day after the order) the unit had not even shipped. I emailed B&H they said that I had ordered too late on Friday. But I had ordered before noon (pac time). Regarding returns: I looked at my RMA and label. They had issues a label that said I had to pay for return shipping. Aggravated I emailed them. Two days later they changed it to a prepaid UPS label. I dropped it off withing a few hours to Staples (a UPS location) and send photos of the proof of drop off to them. I still must wait for it to be returned by ground delivery to them for a refund. Compared to the flawless service of AMAZON, I would recommend them over and over and over again compared to B&H audio. All I got B&H was I'm sorry 10 times. Finally they threw in one day overnight shipping but at this point that is little consolation to me given the aggravation with this order
I have made many orders through B & H and have had excellent ad fast product shipment. There customer service is beyond excellent. Many of the items are great deals and shipping is sometimes completely free (and still fast-as-lightening shipping).
Been buying equipment from B&H since 2001, starting with underwater video equipment, then land camera parts, video and recently computer, lighting and audio kit. They have a great range of equipment, with good descriptions, and user reviews. That makes it easier to decide if the part is the right one and if it is really for you. I also like the PAPER copy of their product catalogue, sent in the mail 3/4 times each year; it makes it easier to find items, and is also great to browse through to keep up to date with photographic equipment.
I tired of carrying my DSLR and associated lenses, etc and decided to go to a Point and Shoot (P&S) camera. I had read a great deal and having owned a Nikon D-60 DSLR for a period of time, was concerned primarily with picture quality in going from a DSLR with large sensor to a P&S with much smaller sensor. For 3 solid months, give or take, I diligently, researched all P&S cameras as well as "mirrorless cameras" currently on the market. I went to 'handle' the cameras I was interested in (see below) and to Flickr on the internet and queried some groups regarding the cameras I was considering. I am a hobbyist when it comes to photography but, I was obsessed with getting as close to the superior photo quality of a DSLR as possible in a P&S. I finally decided on the Leica due to (what I believe to be) superior photo quality and excellent in-camera jpeg processing.
Bought a TV from B&H on Cyber Monday. FOUR MONTHS LATER the TV has not shipped. They charged me the day I bought it. Hey B&H, Cyber Monday deals are supposed to be for Christmas. Christmas is not in April! They wouldn't offer a comparable model for the same price either as a replacement even 4 months later. Just terrible customer service that made my Christmas TV gift disappear!
Very reputable. Excellent customer service! Very friendly, easy to get a hold of and backs their products. I had made a mistake and needed a package returned and another one shipped. They immediately shipped the second one and paid the shipping cost and return cost even though the mistake was mine. Lightning fast delivery both times! The product was great at a good price. I would highly recommend this company.
Answer: ANy refurbished item we sell has been refurbished by the manufacturer or official US distributor, Nikon USA or Canon USA etc. Other used items are each rated on a numeric scale and we tend to be conservative so customers are not disappointed.
