This company does not honor their website. I selected a casket and called. I wish i had gotten the name of the sales person. During the ordering process I gave them my zipcode. He put me on hold and when he came back he said that they weren't going to make any money on this one and they couldn't honor the free shipping advertised on their website. I live in 2.5 hrs from Portland, OR a major shipping hub. He said they would need to charge me for the shipping and started throwing figures between $100 and $340 around.
When I suggested they remove the "free ground shipping" statement from their website he got rude and said things like "yeah we should put that if you live in upper Maine it's going to cost you" and other sarcastic remarks. I was floored.
Look elsewhere if customer service means anything to you. Their website talks about how the funeral homes gouge customers. Yet they go and attempt to do the same thing.
My wife called them about their caskets in preparation for her mother's passing. She found a casket that she liked for around $1,400 total but never placed an order. Once the time came to make funeral arrangements, she called to make sure that the one she liked was available and could be delivered on time. They told her she had up to 3:00 PM the next day to place the order. Well, we went to the Funeral Home and when we told the director that we're having a casket delivered. Unexpectedly, he offered to provide a similar one for the same amount. That eliminated any chance of one being delivered late or my having to take the time to inspect it and deal with the packing materials. The FH has to accept a 3rd party casket, but they can't guarantee it arrives on time or in good condition, nor will they take responsibility to inspect it and deal with any shipping material. Hence, it was a lot easier to accept the FH's offer and eliminate this extra hassle that you should factor in when making a decision to use a 3rd party service for a casket.
When we got home later that evening, my wife got a call from BestPriceCaskets asking if she was ready to finish placing the order. My wife said she was sorry, but explained that the FH offered a casket at the same price. That's when the salesman became extremely rude to my wife, accusing her of "shopping around" and wasting their time. Naturally, my wife responded that this was not the case and that he was rude to someone that just lost their mother yesterday. This $#*!'s response was "well, we lost a sale today!" and hung up.
I strongly suggest avoiding these folks unless that's the kind of people you want to deal with at a low point in your life.
I used Best Price Casket for my Mother's funeral on Long Island NY. The casket came the morning after it was ordered as promised in perfect condition. I have and will continue to use and recommend this company they will save you thousands as they did for me.
My family used this service and it saved us thousands of dollars! The staff and service were right on point and helped us actually deal with the funeral home who... by the way wanted to charge us $3500 for the same casket we bought through best price for 1500. 00 (this was including air shipping and courier delivery to the funeral home). Hundreds of people now know that you can purchase a beautiful casket from this company and it's about time the funeral home has some competition. I tell everyone about them now.

Our experience was BAD!
They said we would get the casket in time and ordered it days in advance and the morning of the funeral we got a call that it never left Dallas and we would not have a casket to put Papaw in for his funeral. Can you even imagine!
No apologies' and no refund just excuses.

It was a mistake and not unethical. What is unethical and you will realize it about 1 month from now is why the funeral home can charge $10,000 for a funeral service. What did you get for the money? $1000 casket and a two-hour viewing. What is unethical? They sure are smooth aren't they and they do it all with a charming smile.
We gave the casket to Saia trucking. It is a ONE-Day delivery for them but they decided to not send the truck to Tyler. NOt our fault, BUT WE LOOSE. Of course you will get a full refund.
Our guy that charges and credits the credit cards should be in on Monday. Call us to remind us so we can do it right away.
We save the public between $2000 and $4000 on every casket we sell. We sell 300 per month x $2500 savings = $750,000 we save the public every month at a time that they are the weakest.
We should of driven that casket to you the night before or early early morning. We failed to save you the $2000 to $3000 that we save others. Sorry.

You make your own decision if you want to take the risk for you can see they say one thing and do whatever they want with no regards for the distress and pain of others I call that UNETHICAL.
Answer: Price shop online for the casket you want. Then approach the funeral home that you have chosen and ask them if they will match the price. Funeral homes are already making money on the funeral services and they hate internet competition. In my case they matched the price and I even avoided the shipping costs.
Answer: I purchased a casket from Best Price Caskets and the casket was of excellent quality, arrived on time, and was boxed and packaged correctly to prevent damage. In fact the funeral home asked for my signature to authorize the funeral home to uncrate the casket so it could be inspected. The funeral home uncrated in my presence and all was OK. A form then was sent to Best Price Caskets that all had arrived OK.
